This is a contest that will run through July 30th.
It's pretty simple. Make a game that fits on a 6x9 postcard, with little to no extra components.

I want more games out there that can be played at any time with anyone. If you play the game with someone and they like it, you can easily give them the game.

Here are some examples of postcard games.

https://centurionsreview.com/battle-postcard-games/

Rules.
- Add your game by adding a geeklist item to this list with artwork and rules
- Use printplace.com 6x9 postcard for a template (leave the address part blank)
- It can be cut to include counters or to make cards
- Extra components can only be six sided dice, coins, or standard things anyone would have
- I will plan on asking you to let me publish the game if you win, but not necessary to the contest
- to be eligible for the contest you must judge at least one other game
- Judging will be done primarily by the other contestants and a small panel of judges.
- Rules don't have to fit on the postcard. (but they can if you want)
- I'll release a judging format soon

Here is another example of a postcard game.
It has a few days left on kickstarter.
It would not be eligible for the contest because it is more than one postcard.

Just another thought.

The postcards can be such that they can handle being written on with dry erase markers.
A blank codenames template where everyone fills in their own words would actually work on a postcard.

Introducing
Watermelon Pennies

I went to Canva.com and went through the postcard templates.
I found one with a watermelon and made a fun little horseshoes/cornhole tabletop game.

Print it up and try it out.

Mind Life
An abstract game that can use coins or have the pieces cut out to play.

Mijnlieff was an obvious inspiration for this game. I din't love the pusher piece though for some reason. This adds collors and shapes to change the pusher and puller piece. I think it really adds something to the game.
Mijnlieff is a great abstract game, partially because it plays so quick and got me excited about it even though I usually prefer not to play abstracts.

Let me know your thoughts.

Submitting Deduction Name Game - written up last year, I threw together some quick rules in publisher so it (kind of) looks like a postcard!

Thanks for the heads up about this competition - pretty cool! Enjoying the entries so far, and looking forward to seeing more!

Still working on it, and more playtests

Basics:
2 players
5-10 mins
Ages 6+

Lore:
You are a very hungry sloth, and you must beat the other sloths to the food.

Rules/Setup:
start by cutting out the fruit tokens, and the sloth characters. Players will place the fruit tokens on top of the corresponding fruit in the tree, and the sloth characters on top of the starting points at the bottom of the tree.

Then players take turns rolling the die if your roll lands on the sleeping sloth you lose that turn. Players will gather the fruit tokens as they land on them. Each time both players roll and move that is considered a "round."

At the end of _10_ rounds, the player with the most fruit wins.

Variation:
Race to the top!

Players roll the die, but with movement only allowing you to go to the Branch next to, or above the branch, you are on, no skipping between or going back and forth or down and up branches. When a player reaches the top of the tree, that signals the final round, the other player will get to roll and move one more time. The player with the most fruit wins.

Still, Need:
More testing to figure out the best number of rounds
Final PnP PDF

Again, still needs more playtesting but getting close.

Basics:
2-4 players
Ages 6+

Lore:
You are trying to rebuild your anthill after humans blocked your entrance.

Rules:
Start by cutting out the tiles, characters, and dice.
Place the Queen tile down in the center of table, as all player will start here. Stack remaining tiles upside down.

Players will each take two tiles at random. On your turn, players will lay a tile down and move your character across it following the ant trails. If a Trail dead ends, go back to the previous tile and make a new path.

On Anthill tiles (& The Queen) you may switch your route.
If you and another player run into each other, each player will roll a die, on a queen continue on your path, on a worker go back one tile.

Objective:
The goal is to be the hardest working ant and stay on the board the longest. If your character goes off the tiles, you get lost and are out of the game. The game plays until You Run Out Of tiles. Be sure to keep track of how many tiles you have crossed.

Still, Need:
More testing to figure out the best number of rounds for player count

You are members of a Special Forces team, competing to neutralize the zombie outbreak in a nearby research facility.

Each players' turn consists of marking an "X" AND "O" on any 2 zombies in a single 3x3 room.
X's count as headshots and are tracked at the bottom via tallies for each color
O's count as captured assets for research.

Each 3x3 grid also contains a team member that has been cornered. Unless all orthogonally adjacent zombies are X'd, that team member is bitten by 1 or more zombies that were O'd.

When all zombies in a 3x3 grid are marked, the player that marked the last remaining zombie claims the room as their own, securing it by tracing the dotted lines surrounding that area and initiating their success in the margins next to the room. This continues until all rooms have been secured.

Players successful collect assets (O'd) if they have secured a room with both zombies of a given color(s) marked with an "O". This is then tracked under their tallies by filling in one of their 3 vaccine bubbles for that zombie color. Unused vaccines score points at the end of the game; however, one or more of these can also be used to save infected team members in rooms you've secured. This is indicated by drawing a line through each shaded vaccine bubble utilized. If you cannot or choose not to vaccinate team members at the end game trigger, negative stars are awarded.

Scoring occurs after all assets have been accounted for on vaccine tracks.

Players score for:
Each room secured = 1 Star
Each color zombie of which they X'd the most (i.e. tallies) = 3 Stars
1/2/3 unused vaccines per color = 1/3/6 Stars
Each surviving team member = 4 Stars
Infected team members = -2 Stars

Player with the most Stars wins!

Here's my entry. I've decided to do a hex and chit wargame, since those are my favorite games. The rules are too long for the back of a postcard, so I provided a link to the rules on the back instead.
