What is an H-index?
It means since I've been logging plays on BGG (Jan. 1st, 2017) I've logged 15 games at least 15 times.

What does the H stand for?
I have no idea, but I feel like I read about it at one point but have promptly forgotten.
A simple search (or some showoff in the comments) will probably provide you with the answer if you really want to know.

This list is bigger than 15 games.
I've played a few more 15+ since I've wanted to make this, and hadn't gotten around to it.
If you really want to know, my 15th (Santorini) was achieved on May 30th of this year, with the 16th (Werewords) on October 1st.

I'm hoping to do one of these with every multiple of 5 from now on.

Listed from least to most plays, here we go!

Splendor

Current place in my top 100: 35

I know I've played this much more, but didn't start logging until 2017. I also have played the App a ridiculous amount of times. It's a great time-filler.

You probably know what Splendor is. Poker chips of different color representing different gems. You take chips to buy cards. Cards count as future gems, and some give points. Sometimes the right recipe of purchased cards involved bonus points from nobles if you are the first to fulfill said recipe.

Super elegant. Super streamlined. Super awesome. Many games have taken this skeleton and added more meat to it, but I still enjoy Splendor just fine.

*My only game that has been wrecked due to a spill. The guy immediately bought me a fresh copy online after the accident, and he got a copy of splendor with 2 soggy cards!

Uwe 2-player Tetris Quilting with a button economy added in for good measure.
My wife loves this game. It's not her favorite, but her most suggested because it only takes about 30 minutes.

Not in top 100.

A super quick stacking puzzle. Each number is written digitally, with a differently configured pentomino-like shape. You flip a card and bingo-style everyone adds a piece to their puzzle. You can place a piece on top and form a new layer if every piece underneath would have cardboard there. You try to get as many layers high as you can to earn the most points.

It is fine. It's almost too fast, which means it's less than a filler and I've been disappointed if this is the only game to hit the table on a game night.

My daughter loves this game. I bought a dice tower to help with the rolling of 6 dice simultaneously.

It's candy land with dice and little wooden race cars, but does allow for a bit more planning/strategy.

I really enjoy this dice-rolling engine-building tableau-building game. Lots of options, tactics, and strategy with just enough luck thrown in.

I still haven't played the older brother card game, but I'm sure I'd love that too.

I also haven't played either expansion, which I'm sure I'd like, but I've heard they add length and I'm not sure about turning a 45 minute game into a 90 minute+ game.

Codenames: Duet is the 2-player co-operative version of the hit party game.

Get your partner to guess the right word-cards in a limited amount of turns, only being able to tie them together by giving a one word clue each time.

Really good. I enjoy this one because it's quick for a co-op game, and I like the mental gymnastics my brain has to do in the system.

I've probably played this more than 20 times, but cannot remember. I know I've played Battle Line too.

This is a rummy-style card game, except you are playing sets into 9 different lanes, trying to play better 3 card poker hands than your opponent in each. If you win 5 lanes of the tug-o-war (or 3 in a row) you win!

Vibrant art. Easy game play. Excruciating decisions. Math.
Probably my favorite game to play with my Mom.

I've only played 4 or 5 sessions of this, but each time you play at least 4 games.

It's 20 questions, except other people know the word too and are actively trying to steer everyone in the wrong/right direction.

After the word is guessed or the 4 minute timer expires, there is the funny "gotcha" fallout of guessing and revealing who was who.

Only 23 plays since 2017 is laughable considering I've probably played 100s of physical plays of this. This was one of my gateway games, and I'd spend entire nights playing game after game with some friends. Back when the website worked I played online a fair bit too.

This is still the game everyone thinks of when you say "deck builder". It's the grand daddy, and still holds up.

It's super ugly, but offers such a streamlines engine building experience. It's different every time, and just fun to build an engine and push "go" over and over.

Caverna-light. My wife and I's go-to game when we have an hour-ish and want to play something.

She says it's her favorite, but it's actually Caverna. Since Caverna takes 2 hours and this takes 45 minutes, this just gets the nod because it hits the table more.

A few solo plays have helped my play count. I'd play solo more if I didn't think it'd give me an advantage over the Mrs.

I have the expansion, and hope to try it out soon.

Super easy to learn, pretty difficult to master. Similar to chess in complexity, but rules-wise as complex as checkers.
Many games only take about 10 minutes, which is a huge bonus.

I'm a teacher, and have added 2 copies of this to my classroom. My students really have gotten into this game, and subsequently I've played about a dozen times since this school year started.

If I keep getting challenged during free time, this might be at the top of this list the next time I make it.

I have the Target version, not the fancy new one.

Chuck dice. Pick one of the numbers you rolled. Every dice you rolled that number of MUST go to the corresponding table. Roll again on your next turn. Keep going until everyone runs out of dice, and then money cards get divided up to the majorities.

This is one of my favorite ways to end a game session. It's luck driven, but there is enough decision-making there that you still can think about your play. I also love how bad rolls can wreck things for everyone in a hurry.

Another game I have 2 copies of at work, but hasn't exploded in popularity just yet.

I've played the original a fair amount as well. I've done co-op and multi-player modes. I've done Hero Realms. 1-vs-1 is the way to play though.

Deck builder that figured out how to be easier than Dominion while getting to punch your opponent in the face with damage.

Including app plays, I've played this at least 150 times.

I've only played with opponents around 10 times, but that solo mode is golden!

I like this game very much, but it isn't really everyone's cup of tea, so getting to play solo has been incredible in the aspect of getting it to the table.

This is an overly-complex engine building game featuring multi-use cards. There is too much iconography on the cards, but it's a feat of design because the garish nature of the cards allows for the entire game to be cards only. It's extremely portable, and probably the heaviest/most thinky game I've played that is just a deck of 150 cards.

If you like games like Imperial Settlers, 7 Wonders, Everdell, and Race for the Galaxy, I'd highly recommend checking this one out. Plus the expansion adds a story/solo mode, and cleans up some other rules, and adds more cards! Get that too!

The new TCG-like hotness has really grabbed me.

I've played more online and much more by myself (just putting 2 decks head to head to see how they play).

I enjoy these ever-evolving and expanding card games, but they do take a bit of a hit on my gaming budget. I'm hoping to scale back my purchasing of this, because I have more than enough decks to never tire of the combinations.
New sets will entice me, and I'll buy decks when I need to for organised play purchases, but I'm never impulse buying a deck again. Even without impulsing, I'll end up with 10 decks from each set if I keep playing at my local store.

Super fun! I highly recommend you try it out. Go to a local store, drop $10 on a deck and have someone teach you.

Dice Masters
7 plays since 2019* (But likely 100+ since 2017)

Current place in my top 100: #1

Dice Masters should be at the top of this list, but I didn't log plays of it until 2019 because the frequency at which I played would've clogged up my stats on BGG. It was my TCG-like game of choice since it's first release in 2014 I've played. I was playing at least 3 games twice a week for over 2 and a half years, plus uncountable amounts online and kitchen-table. I think I've amassed over 600 plays, but I'll never know.
It deserves the top slot, so I'm putting it here even though I technically only have 7 plays in the BGG system.

Don't like it? too bad. It's my list, and Dice Masters is at the top.
