We love the use of dice to choose actions in this classic Stefan Feld game!

December 2 - Ligretto Dice

I love the real-time, roll-as-fast-as-you-can spirit of this game.

December 3 - Catan Dice

Following the Advent Challenge prompt, this is a dice game where landforms are important!

December 4 - OctoDice

Today's Advent Challenge was to play the best gift you've given or received... and OctoDice is one of my favorite gifts from the past year (I'm a cephalopod lover!).

December 5 - Bowling Dice

I had a rough day healthwise today so we played a quick game of Bowling Dice!

December 6 - Wingspan

We were playing Wingspan for the Advent Challenge (star of your collection) and since it features dice, MechDaddy suggested we play it again for Dicember... so we did!

A fun and very math-y dice game with 2d4, 2d6, 2d8, and 2d10!

One of my favorites, a real-time cooperative roll-the-dice-as-fast-as-you-can game.

One of my daughter's favorites, mostly due to the theme, it is a cute press-your-luck game.

I like the extra layer of strategy of having three slots for each item and figuring out when to fill each one.

December 12 - Roll Through the Ages

A favorite of MechDaddy's, this one includes pegging your resources and building monuments. I like the ability to add more dice to your pool.

MechDaddy doesn't often agree to word games, but I enjoy it when he indulges me!

I only found the modern boardgame hobby a mere 9 months ago, and since then have become a confirmed and proud solo gamer with a predilection towards dice games. When someone mentioned to me early on that there was this thing called Dicember, I believe my comment was "oh, I am so in!"

So thanks for hosting this! Hopefully I'm up to the challenge, although now that I look at my shelves I'm not sure I have 15 unique dice-based games...I may need to get a little creative, but we'll see how it goes!

1. One Deck Dungeon (otherwise known as my first true love)

2. That's Pretty Clever! (strategy? what strategy?!)

3. Railroad Ink: Blazing Red Edition (meteors and volcanoes and lava, oh my!)

4. Nations: The Dice Game – Unrest (WHY DO I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH?!?!)

5. Wingspan (wait, what? I played a game with other people?! So no SGOYT link, I guess)

6. Deep Space D-6 (what to play when you're sick as a dog)

7. Pandemic: The Cure – Experimental Meds (in sickness, trying to infect the world...and failing)

8. Catan Dice Game (5 games, no posts...oh, and meh scores)

9. The Castles of Burgundy: The Dice Game (having guests for a week has really cut into my game time!)

10. Tiny Epic Galaxies: Beyond the Black (getting back into the groove)

1. Just played Terminator Genisys : Rise of the Resistance. For those who don't know it, this is a dice game. Sure, you get to move a few figs on the map, but monster spawns and attacks are determined by dice rolls, all the actions you can undertake need a die allocation, special effects needing specific values. You find yourself constantly rolling dice ! And it's fun !

My last play for the challenge, it was a hard fight against the Fire Giant but in the end I got crushed...

This challenge was interesting....only dice games. Trying to think of 15 that I own was a bit challenging in itself. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find two of the games that I originally listed. I really do enjoy most of the games that I played. The hardest part in playing ALL the games in the challenge was.......keeping score in Bowling Dice!!! Well, I'm off to purchase the participation microbadge!!!

I really came to like this game more than I expected after my first few plays. But I only scored 18 points, pretty bad.

We played On the Underground: London/Berlin and finished the evening with a round of Twice as clever. I even managed to win.

The ruleobook isn't the greatest for me and the game is fun but takes way too long for me to really enjoy it. I guess another one for the trade pile. Not a bad game but when you start losing, it just gets harder, making it even more likely that you'll lose again. And again.

First time I've seen this challenge. I definitely have enough games to reach 15 by the end of the month. Let's see how many I can actually record.

1. FUSE Solo -standard level. Lost: 39 points.

2. A Fistful of Penguins Solo. 78 points - my third solo play of this and my highest score to date. Still only ranks as "Quite Good"

3. Qwixx Solo. Only 113 points after a full 25 turns with 3 misthrows.

4. Mosaix Solo. Best score so far with 131 points, hitting the top “Respect” level.

5. Pocket Sports Golf Played Pebble Links. Out in 33 (-3) Back In 45 (+9) Total 78 (+6)

6. Ganz schön clever Solo. A disappointing 177 points.

7. On Tour Solo. Best score so far - 28 states visited with 7 circled = 35 points.

8. Mmm! Solo. The mice won with the cat 7 spaces from the kitchen (advanced board).

9. Pickomino Two player. Jan won 10-7.

10. Dice Heist Two player with Jan. We ended tied at 40-40.

11. Würfelwurst Two player with Jan. I won 66-58.

12. Rolling Japan Solo. 13 points.

13. Wizard Würfelspiel Two player with Jan. I won 29-1.

14. Backgammon With Jan. She won with me still having 8 pieces to bear off.

15. Qwinto Two player with Jan. She won 59-49.

16. Hostage Negotiator Loss against Donna Scarborough. Rescued 9 surviving hostages but Donna escaped on the final showdown.

17. Qwantum Two player with Jan. I won 37-13.

18. Pocket Tennis Solo play pitting Roger Federer against Novak Djokovic over three sets. Novak won 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

19. Wingspan Two player with Chris. He won 70-62.

20. Istanbul: The Dice Game Two player with Chris. He won 7-5.

21. Nautilion Solo play trying with the third and final level C submarine. Won (just) with the Phantom 1 space away from the Happy Isles.
