I will use this geeklist to keep track of games played in 2020, along with making comments, posting gameplay reports and pics, etc. I will be including board games, RPGs, video games, and also jigsaw puzzles (all completed jigsaw puzzles with pics in one entry for this year) in this list.

Every time I complete a play, I will add a to the top of the game entry on this geeklist. Also, I am listing each play of a particular game with a number, counting up: d10-1, d10-2, d10-3, and so on. Neither the stars or the numerals denote any rating or judgment of the game.

NOTE: The first entry is for jigsaw puzzles completed (including those done on apps), listed by the month in which they were built.
The following entries will be for boardgames and pencil and paper RPGs, in alphabetical order (including accurate simulations of those types of games played online).
Then I will list entries for video/computer games played, in alphabetical order by the game title (some games have no VGG entry, so check the bold text for the game title.

Note that the listed piece count may not be accurate because what is printed on the box is often rounded off to the nearest 50 or 100.

JANUARY:

d10-1 Disney Vintage Buttons - Ceaco (750 pieces)

This was just the right piece count for this image to be fun for me. Lots of cool little details! There was a mini-poster included in the box, too.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2 Ballooning in Cappadocia in Turkey (no title on box?) Panoramic puzzle - Perfect Fit Puzzles (101 pieces)

This low piece count puzzle was trickier than I expected!  There are flat edges on some interior pieces and some of them are half-sized pieces.  Also, it was pretty easy to put a piece in the wrong place... and I did a few times. I named the puzzle myself, descriptively, since there was no title on the box.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3 Dino Selfie - Anatolian (260 pieces)

I was somewhat wary of trying another Anatolian puzzle because I didn't like the image quality of the previous one that I had built.

But, this puzzle was fun to build and look at, and of a pretty good quality. I intend to keep it to build again someday.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4 Big Horn Express - Vermont Christmas Company (1000 pieces)

I finally finished building this puzzle after starting it over two weeks ago. The illustration is very sketchy which I didn't like at all, although from a distance (or from the smaller cover image on the box and the internet) the image is really nice and looked like it would make a great puzzle (details, theme, and depth).  It might have been better as a 500 piece puzzle with somewhat smaller dimensions.

From gallery of Jude

Detail to show "sketchy" illustration style:

From gallery of Jude

d10-5 Blue tropical fish (no title on box?) Panoramic puzzle - Perfect Fit Puzzles (101 pieces)

Trickier than I expected for a 101 piece puzzle from the dollar store. I named the puzzle myself, descriptively, since there was no title on the box.

From gallery of Jude

FEBRUARY:

d10-6 Rolls Royce Phantom III Roadster - International Polygonics 1983 (500+ pieces)

The pieces are distinctive enough that the all-white areas weren't too difficult. The rest of the puzzle was fun enough.

From gallery of Jude

d10-7 Tropical Paradise 14 - Round puzzle - Milton Bradley/Cardinal (300 pieces)

I enjoyed building this round puzzle very much. It is good-looking and has an interesting piece-cut. It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-8 Mystery of the Sunflower - Sunsout (550 pieces)

This one was fun. But not easy.

From gallery of Jude

d10-9 Waiting for a Story - Perfect Picture Puzzle (250+ pieces)

This vintage puzzle, likely from the 1930s, has 1 piece missing.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-0 Batman - Two-Sided Shaped Puzzle - Aquarius (600 pieces each side) - 1 piece MISSING!

This puzzle is a big disappointment... I bought it new and sealed, and had been enjoying building it until I realized that a piece is missing.
EDIT: I contacted the company via email and attached the photo and a close-up of where the missing piece is, and the company sent me a new bag of pieces for this puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-1 Ballooner's Rally - Sunsout (300 pieces)

I like the landscape image, and the balloons were a bonus.

From gallery of Jude

MARCH:

d10-1d10-2 Twilight Tempest _ Dragons - Ceaco (1000 pieces)

I really like the image and the depth and colors, and this was a fun puzzle until all of the pieces that were left were purplish, starry sky pieces. Then it got frustratingly difficult. Still, I managed to finish it.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-3 Goosebumps Classic Book Covers - Outset Media Cobble Hill (275 pieces)

This was fun.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-4 and d10-1d10-5 West Mountain Lumber Train and South Gateway Rock Formation Colorado Springs - 2 in 1 Puzzles - LaRose Cra-Z-Art/LPF (240 x2)

This was a dollar store purchase, and both puzzles came mixed together in the box. The pieces are thin and don't stay together well, but the images are clear and pretty good. I'm going to store the pieces for each puzzle separately in the box when I take them apart.

From gallery of Jude

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-6 Sunset in the Northwest - Tuco (357 pieces)
This vintage puzzle is from the late 1930s (based on the style of the Tuco box), and it wasn't missing any pieces. It was pretty tricky!

Early Tuco puzzles were cut like this because the cardboard that they used was so thick that the cuts had to be fairly simple because of the force needed on the blades. They started making puzzles during the economic depression because the wall board that they made was not selling because people weren't building new houses much anymore -- so they used their supply of it to print and cut puzzles instead. Their later puzzles weren't as thick (but still pretty thick!) so that they could more easily cut tabs and different shaped pieces.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-7 Children's Choir - Sunsout (300 pieces)

Pretty image with some nice details (notice the deer behind the gateway).

This is the second puzzle I have built with artwork by Joseph Burgess (the other was Big Horn Express, listed here also), and although I really like his paintings for various reasons, I find them irritating to build as puzzles because of the sketchiness close-up. (See the detail photo on my d10-4 puzzle entry on this geeklist, above.) I have another nice-looking puzzle with his artwork that I haven't built yet, and may decide not to, ever, since it is 1000 pieces.

Anyway, this was wasn't too irritating, both because of the low piece count, and that the unusual piece shapes made it easier to build.

From gallery of Jude

APRIL:

d10-1d10-8 Cardinal Courtship - Bits and Pieces shaped puzzle 2001 (650 pieces)

This is a puzzle I inherited from my mother, so building it alone brought bittersweet memories. ❤️

Although it was difficult and tricky, it was not frustrating and I enjoyed building it very much. It's a keeper, for more than one reason.

From gallery of Jude

I almost forgot to mention that this puzzle has whimsy pieces. Here is a photo of some of them.

From gallery of Jude

d10-1d10-9 Nancy Drew - Cobble Hill (1000 pieces)

I liked this puzzle well enough and the subject matter brings back memories of reading some of the books when I was a kid.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-0 Reconstructed Dinosaur Skulls - Eurographics (1000 pieces)

This puzzle took me 11 days to complete, and I almost quit a few times. What made it even worse is that the cover image on the box has significant differences from the images and text (and placement of such) on the puzzle. Too bad, because I like the subject matter.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-1 DC Comics Superman Collage Pocket Puzzle - Aquarius (100 pieces)

My second time building this little puzzle (the dimensions are about 8 x 6 1/4 inches), and it's still worth keeping. I wanted something fun and easy after the previous puzzle. But since it is so easy, I built it without referring to the box cover image. I took a better "completed" photo this time.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-2 Russel's General Store - Sunsout (550 pieces)

The misspelling of "Russell's" is from the title on the box, and is not my typo.

This was a fun puzzle to build, with depth and a variety of images with many interesting shapes and colors. And a cat.

From gallery of Jude

MAY:

d10-2d10-3 Emerald City - Mystical Shapes - Ceaco shaped puzzle (700 pieces)

The edges were tricky and wouldn't stay together well (because some of the pieces weren't interlocking) until I had built enough of the inside to hold them in place. The whole puzzle was pretty tricky, actually, but I enjoyed building it.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-4 Buttons, Dice and Marbles - Lafayette Puzzle Factory (1000 pieces)

I had a lot of trouble with this puzzle until I realized that one of the edge pieces which I had placed on the left actually belonged at the top, which fixed the problem of having two (supposedly) missing edge pieces, and also suddenly made the top part of the puzzle fit together with the pieces below. After that, it was enjoyable to build.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-5 Gold Coins - identical salamander-shaped pieces - Shmuzzles 1980 (168 pieces)

All of the pieces are cut exactly the same (so they fit anywhere) and are shaped like salamanders. There's a frame to build in, so that the outside edges are smooth. It was fun and challenging trying to match the parts of the image on the tail, legs and head of the salamander pieces.

From gallery of Jude

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-6 Seaside 8-in-1 multi-pack - #2 round puzzle only - Ceaco 2017 (300 pieces)

A fun, pretty puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-7 Celestial Sahara - Cardinal (500 pieces)

This is my second time building this small-footprint puzzle (which I got at a dollar store a few years ago). It's one of my favorites.

From gallery of Jude

d10-2d10-8 Baseball - Buffalo - Kate Ward Thacker Nostalgia Collection (500 pieces)

I've had this puzzle, not yet built, for a while. I was saving it for when I was missing baseball... like now.

From gallery of Jude

JUNE:

d10-2d10-9 Apple Blossoms - Big Star (250+ pieces)

This vintage puzzle, probably from the 1930s or '40s, was fairly tricky and I enjoyed building it. The reference image on the box was very small and in black & white.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-0 Blooming Hyacinths and Tulips - LaRose Cra-Z-Art (300 pieces)

This was a dollar store purchase.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-1 Jungle Discovery - Buffalo (500 pieces)

It's a weird collection of animals, insects, plants, and architecture, but it makes a really enjoyable puzzle!
I like all the cool colors and patterns, and how the monkey tails, the snake, and the elephant tusks lead the eye around the image. It's a keeper!

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-2 Morning Fragrance - Perfect Picture Puzzle (275+ pieces)

A pretty, vintage puzzle. I can almost smell the flowers.
The reference picture on the box was very small and in black-and-white.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-3 Curious Kittens - Vermont Christmas Company (100 pieces)

This is a fun, little puzzle. I especially like the black kitten behind the fishbowl.

From gallery of Jude

JULY:

d10-3d10-4 Summer Spirit - Days to Remember - Buffalo (500 pieces)

Fun enough, until only the dark part of the sky was left to build.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-5 Bam Pow Zap - comic books puzzle - Nordevco 1981 (500 pieces)

I have another copy of this old puzzle (same piece count and size, same company) which I built a couple of years ago and which is missing 2 pieces. Afterwards, I was lucky enough to acquire this copy, which was still sealed and isn't missing any pieces, but the quality is not as good as the copy with the missing pieces, including having only one type of piece-cut, except for the edges. A disappointment, but still, the image is fun to build.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-6 Wooden beach chairs puzzle (untitled/descriptive name given) - Giana Multipack - 12 in 1 - Masterpieces (500 pieces)

This puzzle is from a box 12 puzzles of which the images are from Alan Giana paintings. None of the images are titled on the box nor on the included image reference poster. So, I am just giving them descriptive names as I build them.

It was rather irritating trying to figure out which sealed bag of pieces corresponded with which puzzle image, and as I build the puzzles, I am putting each of them into a separate zip-bag, labeled with my descriptive title and the piece count and the multipack title (like I did with the title above).

This puzzle was enjoyable to build, more so than I expected it to be since the image didn't appeal to me much at first. But as I built the puzzle, I appreciated all the details, the colors, and the variety of piece cuts very much.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-7 Where the Buoys Are - Buffalo (300 pieces)

I built this puzzle almost three years ago and enjoyed it enough to rate it as a "keeper". I just built it again, and it is still a keeper!

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-8 By a Mountain Stream - Whitman Masterpiece (275+ pieces)

A vintage puzzle, most likely from the 1940s (perhaps the late 1930s or early 1950s), which had a few whimsy pieces. Too bad there is significant wear on the pieces and box. I found this to be a tricky and enjoyable puzzle to put together.

From gallery of Jude

d10-3d10-9 Ocean of Life - Artbox LaRose Cra-Z-Art (300 pieces) - completed - 2 pieces MISSING

I was looking forward to building this cool-looking undersea painting puzzle that I bought a while ago at a dollar store. But I got disappointed really early because there was obviously an edge piece missing. And some of the pieces weren't cut cleanly (meaning that the backing paper was torn in places, which is probably why there are a couple of missing pieces -- they probably stuck and tore during production and didn't end up sealed in the bag with the other pieces). Most of the pieces are warped, too, and I've spent way too much time trying to gently straighten them out so that the pieces lay reasonably flat and connect properly.

Disappointing... I was hoping it would be fun and relaxing. I guess I should be glad that it only cost me a dollar (plus tax) and some time that I didn't enjoy (at least it wasn't a large piece count puzzle).

NOTE: I have enjoyed building many other puzzles that I purchased new in dollar stores. Other than that the pieces are thin and there isn't much variety in piece shapes, only one other had any missing pieces and other serious problems. Most have been satisfactory, and many have very nice images.

From gallery of Jude

AUGUST:

d10-4d10-0 Elephant Falls - Cardinal (500 pieces)

This is my second time building this little (11 x 14 inches) dollar store puzzle. Once again, I found it rather difficult, but enjoyable.

The photo is somewhat dark because I had some trouble getting a picture without a lot of glare.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-1 Dino Party - Dino Glow - Ceaco (100 pieces)

The image on this little puzzle was fun to build and look at. The glow-in-the-dark aspect wasn't that impressive, though, with some parts glowing only very faintly (although the big teeth areas glowed brightly!) and I didn't bother to try to take a photo in the dark, but at least the glow-paint didn't obscure the puzzle image.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-2 Forest stream puzzle (untitled/descriptive name given) - Giana Multipack - 12 in 1 - Masterpieces (500 pieces)

This puzzle is from a box 12 puzzles of which the images are from Alan Giana paintings. None of the images are titled on the box nor on the included image reference poster. So, I am just giving them descriptive names as I build them.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-3 Koalas - SunsOut (200 pieces)

This low piece count puzzle was fun to build, and the image is full of interesting details of animals and insects and flowers.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-4 The Watering Hole - LaRose Cra-Z-Art (500 pieces)

This was a dollar store purchase. The pieces are thin and tend to warp (I spent some time trying to straighten many pieces so they would lay flat). But despite that, I really enjoyed building this one.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-5 Dinosaur Valley - Dinosaur Series - E&L 2009 (100 pieces)

One of my favorite low piece count puzzles. It's a keeper, and this was my second time building it.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-6 Wings - Buffalo (300 pieces)

This was a fun puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

SEPTEMBER:

d10-4d10-7 Moonlight - ZIG-ZAW puzzle - Pleasant Pastime Co (300+ pieces)

The lack of a reference image on the box leads me to believe that this puzzle is from the early 1930s (during the puzzle craze when many companies started making cardboard puzzles). This puzzle measures 13.75 x I0.75 inches.

I like the puzzle cut, with the variety of piece shapes and sizes (although some were tiny!), including a large fleur-de-lis symbol cut made of many of the pieces. Note the former (perhaps the original) owner's name is penciled on the box.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-8 Notre Dame - Deluxe Whitman Guild (340 pieces)

Although it brought sad memories of the devastating fire at the cathedral last year , I greatly enjoyed building this puzzle, which is a keeper.

My best estimate, from my experience with Whitman puzzles, is that this puzzle is from the late 1950s, based on the Guild name, cost, and type of box (rectangular canister-style), or possibly from the early 1960s (later in the 1960s, Whitman puzzle pieces were more interlocking and of a more standard grid-cut).

There were no dates on Whitman puzzles nor boxes until sometime in the late 1960s, and I really wish that I could find a list where the series and puzzle numbers were matched with printing dates, but the defunct company's (Western Publishing) records seem to have been lost.

From gallery of Jude

d10-4d10-9 The Conquerors - Every Week Jig-Saw 19 - Einson-Freeman Co 1933 (160+ pieces)

From 1933. Still in decent condition except for a bit of wear on the pieces (and the box is worn), and one piece appears to have been attacked by a cat, based upon the tiny teeth marks.

The second photo is of the back of the box, which has a tiny, monochrome, line-drawing of the image, and rules for how to "play" with puzzles.

On the sides of the box was information for the Einson-Freeman company, and for the distributor, American News Company.

From gallery of Jude

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-0 Grandma's Birthday - Big 10 (275+ pieces)

From the style of the box and the black & white reference image, this puzzle seems to be from the 1930s. Big 10 puzzles were produced by Consolidated Box Co., which also produced Big Star and Perfect Picture puzzles.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-1 Rambling Stone Steps - Whitman Masterpiece (220+ pieces)

Mostly likely from the 1930s, based on the B&W reference image on the box, this puzzle is of the "do not bump" type! I pushed it back together numerous times while building it, which is part of the fun and relaxation, right? A tricky puzzle, especially since it was almost impossible tell which pieces were actually edge pieces so I didn't assemble all of the edges first, but I enjoyed it.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-2 Blossoms of Holland - Perfect Picture Puzzle (250+ pieces)

From the 1930s, this puzzle's image is a print of a line-drawing with what appears to be watercolor washes, rather surprising since the small greyscale reference image on the box appears to be of a painting (without the lines). It reminds me somewhat of the line-drawing images created of paintings and photographs so that they could be printed in old books and newspapers and posters before technology over time allowed other methods to be used. But by the time this puzzle was created, the creation of line-drawing images of paintings/photographs should not have been necessary. Perhaps an old lithograph that had been hand-colored was used for the image, but then why does the small greyscale box image appear to not be of a line-drawing, but a painting?

From gallery of Jude

From gallery of Jude

OCTOBER:

d10-5d10-3 Sunken Treasure by John Enright - Seaside 8-in-1 multipack - puzzle #6 only - Ceaco 2017 (500 pieces)

The artist of the painting was listed on the box along with those for the other puzzles in the multipack, but the title wasn't, so I did a search and found out what the title is.

This was a fun puzzle to build.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-4 Just in Time - Sunsout (500 pieces)

I thought this one was going to be more difficult than it was. The irregular-shaped pieces helped a lot, especially in the sky areas, although some flat-sided non-edge pieces made putting the edges together more difficult. I enjoyed building this puzzle.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-5 Night Spirit - Hokus Pokus - Ceaco (550 pieces)

I liked building this cute cat puzzle well enough.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-6 Trapped - Cobble Hill (1000 pieces)

I had a difficult time getting a half-decent photo of my completed puzzle. Cobble Hill puzzles tend to "wash out" in photos (and when building them), despite having what is supposedly a non-glare surface.

I enjoyed it well enough until only dark browns/greys/greens were left to build, and then it was an ordeal to finish. Too bad because I really like the painting.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-7 Haunted House Party - Vermont Christmas Company (1000 pieces)

I enjoyed this puzzle very much! Not only do I like the image which is colorful and has a lot of cool details, but the puzzle was not too difficult, yet not too easy, either, throughout the entire time I was building it. It was fun, and it's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-5d10-8 Queen of Havoc - Ceaco (750 pieces)

Completed just in time for Hallowe'en.

It came with two extra pieces, duplicates of adjacent pieces in the upper left edge, in cut, anyway -- the image on the two extras was slightly offset from the rest of the puzzle's image. But no missing pieces, which is good!

From gallery of Jude

NOVEMBER:

d10-5d10-9 County Express - Lafayette Puzzle Factory (500 pieces)

This is my second time building this puzzle, and it's still a keeper, mostly because the image is just so enjoyable for me to build and look at.

This is the best "completed" photo I managed to take this time (I took a better photo when I built it the first time, 2 1/2 years ago).

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-0 Superman - Two-Sided Shaped Puzzle - Aquarius (600 pieces)

This puzzle has the Superman logo (in flat colors of black, red, and yellow) on the backside, which is why the puzzle is shaped the way it is. I doubt if I'll ever build it from that side (especially at 600 pieces!), but I really enjoyed building the comic book covers side, and will keep the puzzle to build it again someday.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-1 Mother Nature's Magic - Bits and Pieces (500 pieces)

This was a good one, but definitely not easy! The unusual cut of the pieces made it even more fun. It's a keeper.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-2 Hirschhorn on the Neckar - Whitman Guild (304 pieces)

I built a copy of this puzzle before that was missing a piece. This copy is complete, but although it has the same cut, the image is offset a bit compared to the other one, so I can't just replace the missing piece with one from this puzzle. The other puzzle is one I built in my childhood (used, even then, originally from before I was born) that somehow lost a piece in the decades since then (most likely it was built by someone who was careless with it while visiting my mother's house).

Anyway, it's still a good puzzle, but building it didn't bring the nostalgic feeling the the other one did.

I did take a better photo this time, though.

From gallery of Jude

DECEMBER:

d10-6d10-3 Dinosaur Parade - Dinotopia - Mattel (750 pieces)

This is a puzzle from the 1990s with artwork by James Gurney from his Dinotopia book series.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-4 Aunt Josephine Visits the Park - Bits and Pieces (1000 Pieces)

I enjoyed building this puzzle, but I would have liked it more if the image didn't include the boy and dog who seem to be intent on harassing the animals (is that why the girl is crying?).

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-5 Christmas Cookies - Sunsout (300 pieces)

This is my Christmas-themed puzzle for this year.

I really like the artwork and and the cut of the puzzle, but the image on the puzzle itself is kind of "fuzzy" and also, the color is a bit off from the cover pic. Probably, they blew up the image too far to make the puzzle bigger, and the image lost definition.

Still, it was fun to build. Notice the snow-cat.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-6 Sunnyside Way - Whitman Guild (304 pieces)

I enjoyed building this puzzle. I wish that they still made them like this.

From gallery of Jude

d10-6d10-7 Cookie Tins - Springbok (500 pieces) - completed - 1 piece MISSING

I was looking forward to building this puzzle, so realizing, after I put the edges together, that it was missing a piece, was a big disappointment. *

* Update: Springbok Puzzles sent me a replacement!

I am playing SOLO unless noted otherwise, using the base game and all of the expansions except for those that don't work well with solo play. I am playing each game as a 7 mini-game series with 3 initial Buy Rounds and using a 10-player free agent market (as recommended by the designer when using the expansion sets), unless I have noted otherwise. According to the solo rules, the team that I chose to play with is always the Visiting Team, and therefore plays first against the AI team.

which gradually replace the AI's low-cost cards with better ones
.
A minor change that I made to his variant in order to simplify the gameplay is that I replace the low-cost cards (those of a cost of 5 or under) from among those were played by the AI that mini-game at the end of the mini-game and not during the gameplay, as suggested by
Dave P
msg tools

And I draw the replacement cards and place them at the bottom of the AI's draw deck without looking at them
(the replaced cards go to AI's Minor League area, and the rest of the played cards are discarded to the Dugout, as usual), so I won't know what new players will appear for the AI, until they come into play.
This gives the AI a better advantage and adds more surprise to the solo game.

Unless noted otherwise, I play solo using the official solitaire rules in the base game rulebook. I also used some promos, including putting three (3x) copies of the Any Color Hero promo card in the deck, and using the Feather promo bookmark (only one use per game allowed, in conjunction with the "Tar" card/token).

If you don't have these promos, which make the solitaire game much easier (but still hard) to win, I suggest using the "All for One!" optional rule (from the rulebook) instead when playing solo.

I won! I had one tower left and accumulated 48 victory points from trophies.

d10-2 Solo game with 3x Any Color Hero promo cards and the Feather promo.

I lost, with one troll left on the board that destroyed my last tower and still had one hit point left. Victory points don't matter if I don't win.

This entry is for any versions of the DC Comics Deck-Building Game that I may play.

I have several base sets and expansions and will note which one(s) I am playing with for each game listed here.

I play solo (unless indicated otherwise)
using various user-made solitaire variants or the solo rules from the Crisis expansion #1.

NOTE: Usually, I will be using this simple Solitaire variant for the main base set, playing at the regular (easiest) level EXCEPT that I add some difficulty to the games by having the villains attack every turn as long as they are in the line-up (but not the Super-Villains, which still only attack on "first reveal"):

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/101516/

and with these card changes when using the Heroes Unite box set:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1149984/solo-play

But I may use Super-Heroes and other cards from other base sets and expansions with any of the base games, and I will note in the game entry if I do. I may have to make some changes to certain cards in order to make them work for solo play.

At times, I may use tougher difficulty levels for the variant, or use different solitaire variants, and if so, I will make note of which one is being used in the entry for the game(s) I play using them.

November 16, 2020
For the two games I played today, I decided to make the solitaire variant (noted above with the link) somewhat harder by taking needed Weakness cards from the "timer pile" rather than the face-up pile. I discovered that depending on which Super-villains show up in the game (7 are chosen randomly, in addition to Ra's Al Ghul), this can make the game much too short (and hard) for my liking. So after today, I'll take any needed weakness cards from the face-up pile (unless I change my mind, but then I will make a note in the entry for that game).

d10-1 DC Comics Deck-Building Game
Wonder Woman -- For each villain you buy or gain during your turn, draw an extra card at the end of your turn. (This means add the extra card(s) to your new hand at the end after your turn is finished)

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Ra's Al Ghul
Brainiac
The Anti-Monitor
-- Not Defeated:
Lex Luthor
The Joker
Captain Cold
Sinestro
Atrocitus

Despite gaining the "Princess Diana or Themyscira" card early (which, when played, lets the player gain all the villain cards with a cost of 7 or less from the line-up -- which goes well with Wonder Woman's power), I only defeated 3 Super-Villains this game before the timer stack ran out and ended the game.

Time Ran Out!

3 Super-Villains defeated -- Key points of the Super-Villains' master plan succeeded but not every detail

49 points scored -- Cities are destroyed. Casualties are extremely high. Several heroes' loved ones are among the dead or unaccounted for, and the government has issued an arrest warrant for the heroes and villains involved in the battle.

d10-2 DC Comics Deck-Building Game
Vixen (Promo Super Hero card - see the image below) -- Once during each of your turns, you may reveal the top card of your deck. If it's a Hero: +2 Power; Villain: Destroy a card in your hand; Equipment: You pay 3 less to defeat Super-Villains this turn; Super Power: Draw a card.
Board Game: DC Comics Deck-Building Game: Vixen

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Ra's Al Ghul
Captain Cold
Atrocitus
Sinestro
BlackManta
Parallax
-- Not Defeated:
The Anti-Monitor
Deathstroke

Time Ran Out!

6 Super-Villains defeated -- The key points of the Super-Villains' master plan failed although some details succeeded, laying the ground work for the return of the true mastermind of the plot.

71 points scored -- A few cities have taken moderate damage. Casualties are manageable. The heroes and public have begun rebuilding. Still leery, the public is beginning to believe that these heroes can make a difference in the defense of Earth and people's everyday lives.

November 17, 2020
d10-3 DC Comics Deck-Building Game
Batman -- +1 Power for each Equipment card you play during your turn.

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Ra's Al Ghul
Atrocitus
Captain Cold
Darkseid
The Joker
Black Manta
Parallax
Deathstroke

I got a lot of good, useful cards fairly early, which led to my outstanding win before the time ran out.

1 Timer Card Left (2 pts).

All 8 Super-Villains defeated! (5 pts) -- The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators.

90 points scored -- Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

d10-4 DC Comics Deck-Building Game
Aquaman -- You may put any cards with cost of 5 or less you buy or gain during your turn on top of your deck.

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Ra's Al Ghul
Brainiac
Black Manta
Sinestro
The Joker
Captain Cold
-- Not Defeated:
Lex Luthor
Deathstroke

Time Ran Out!

6 Super-Villains defeated -- The key points of the Super-Villains' master plan failed although some details succeeded, laying the ground work for the return of the true mastermind of the plot.

68 points scored -- Severe damage has hit several large cities. Casualties have been lessened by the publicly recognized action of the heroes. The rebuilding process has begun and the public is thankful but hesitant to trust these heroes.

November 18, 2020
d10-5 DC Comics Deck-Building Game
Martian Manhunter (Promo Super Hero card - see the image below) -- If you play two or more Villains during your turn, +3 Power. If you play two or more Heroes during your turn, +3 Power.
Board Game: DC Comics Deck-Building Game: Martian Manhunter promo

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Ra's Al Ghul
Black Manta
Lex Luthor
Parallax
Sinestro
Deathstroke
The Joker
Captain Cold

I got pretty lucky getting two Location cards ongoing early in the game which often let me draw extra cards, but also, the Martian Manhunter is very powerful later in the game.

2 Timer Cards left (4 pts)

All 8 Super-Villains defeated (5 pts) -- The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators.

95 points scored! -- Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

d10-6 DC Comics Deck-Building Game
Donna Troy (Non-Crisis Super Hero from the Crisis Expansion Pack 4 -- the only card I am using from it this game.)
You pay 1 less to buy Defense cards. Each time you avoid an attack, you may destroy a card in your hand or discard pile.

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Ra's Al Ghul
Lex Luthor
Brainiac
Parallax
The Anti-Monitor
Atrocitus
Captain Cold
Deathstroke

Despite my Defense cards usually only being in my hand when there was nothing to defend against and vice-versa (even though I was using the "harder" variant rule and having Villains attack each turn they were in the line-up), which hobbled some of Donna Troy's powers, I did very well in this game.

3 Timer Cards left (6 pts)

All 8 Super-Villains defeated (5 pts) -- The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators.

85 points scored! -- Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

November 25, 2020
These games were played using the solitaire variant mentioned at the top of this entry, but with the Heroes Unite set, so I used the card change list for Heroes Unite, too (the links are at the top of this geeklist entry).

It seems much easier to score a high amount of points using this Heroes Unite base set.

d10-7 DC Comics Deck-Building Game: Heroes Unite
Batgirl -- Once during each of your turns, you may discard a Punch card. If you do, draw a card.

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Vandal Savage
Nekron
Amazo
Helspont
Hector Hammond
H'el
Arkillo
Felix Faust (promo card)

4 Timer cards left (8 pts)

All 8 Super-Villains defeated! (5 pts) -- The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators.

94 points scored! -- Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

d10-8 DC Comics Deck-Building Game: Heroes Unite
Black Lightning (Promo card Super Hero) -- Discard X cards: Put a non-Starter card with a cost X from your Discard pile into your Hand.
Board Game: DC Comics Deck-Building Game: Black Lightning

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Vandal Savage
Black Adam
Felix Faust (promo card)
Nekron
H'el
Arkillo
Hector Hammond
-- Not Defeated:
Graves

Time Ran Out!

7 Super-Villains defeated -- The key points of the Super-Villains' master plan failed although some details succeeded, laying the ground work for the return of the true mastermind of the plot.

91 points scored! -- Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

d10-9 DC Comics Deck-Building Game: Heroes Unite
Shazam -- You may play 4 Power. If you do, gain the top card of the main deck. You may put it on top of your deck or into your Discard pile.

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Vandal Savage
Hector Hammond
Helspont
Arkillo
Mr Freeze
Nekron
-- Not Defeated:
Trigon
Mongul

Time Ran Out!

6 Super-Villains defeated -- The key points of the Super-Villains' master plan failed although some details succeeded, laying the ground work for the return of the true mastermind of the plot.

87 points scored! -- Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

d10-1d10-0 DC Comics Deck-Building Game: Heroes Unite
Booster Gold -- +1 Power for each Defense card you play during your turn. When you avoid an attack, draw a card.

versus the following Super-Villains:
-- Defeated:
Vandal Savage
Graves
Hector Hammond
Nekron
Mr Freeze
Black Adam
Arkillo
Trigon

1 Timer card left (2 pts)

All 8 Super-Villains defeated! (5 pts) -- The heroes stopped the scheme and captured all the conspirators.

85 points scored! -- Minimal to no major damage to 1 or 2 cities. Minimal casualties. Heroes earned a greater trust and respect of the citizens, media and government.

I had 5 Power Rings, which gave me 25 points, just for them!

From December 13, 2020 through December 18, 2020, I played 14 more solo games of DC Comics Deck-Building Game (some with the base game set, and others with the Heroes Unite Set) including several using the New Gods Crossover Pack 7 expansion, and using solitaire adaptations that I created.

All games played online on Yucata.de unless noted otherwise. I'm not bothering to keep track of the dates I played except to note here that they were all played in 2020.

d10-1 Marble911 won the 3-player game with three pieces out. I came in second with 2 pieces out, and dgou came in third with 1 piece out.

d10-2 Dgou won the 3-player game with three pieces out versus me and marble911 who only got 1 piece out each.

d10-3 Dgou won the 3-player game with three pieces out versus marble911 and me who only got 2 pieces out each.

d10-4 Came in 2nd place in a 4-player game behind Plum who got 3 pieces out. Pyr-shep and jstearns78 also played.

d10-5 Dgou won by getting 3 pieces off the board. I got 2 pieces out, and marble911 got 1 out.

d10-6 I won a 3-player game by getting 3 pieces out after everyone else had no pieces left on the board. Dgou came in 2nd with 2 pieces out, and marble911 got 1 piece out.

d10-7 I came in last place, only getting 1 piece out, behind marble911, who won by getting three pieces out, and dgou, who came in 2nd place with 2 pieces out.

d10-8 I came in last place again, with no pieces out, behind marble911, who won by getting three pieces out, and dgou, who came in 2nd place with a piece out.

d10-9 I won by getting 3 pieces off the board. Marble911 and dgou only got one piece off the board, each.

d10-1d10-0 I came in second place after the game ended because the cards ran out. Marble911 won despite having had two pieces eaten by the monster, and dgou came in last place although he finally got a piece off the board (and he hadn't lost any of them!).

d10-1d10-1 Marble911 won because she got two pieces off the board before I did, and then dgou did (he came in last place) -- before the monster ate all the rest of our pieces!

d10-1d10-2 I was one turn away from winning the game by getting my third piece out, and then I got a notification that I lost (I came in second place). By looking at the past turns, it appears that the monster drew a "cross" card, then traveled off the edge of the board and all the way across the board again, then took a transporter to jump then move a couple more spaces to eat my piece! Then marble911 couldn't get her third piece off before the monster deck ran out. So dgou won because he was the first to get two pieces off the board! I came in second, and marble911 came in last place.

d10-1d10-3 Another 3-player game with marble911 and dgou. Dgou won because he was the first to get 2 pieces off the board, even though he was the first to get the rest of his pieces eaten by the monster, too! The game ended when the monster decided to eat the marble911's and my remaining pieces in one move, clearing the board. I came in last place because I had only managed to get one piece out.

d10-1d10-4 Another 3-player game with marble911 and dgou. Dgou won because he got 3 pieces off the board first. I came in second place with 2 pieces out, and marble911 came in last place with no pieces off the board when the game ended.

d10-1d10-5 If the game would have lasted one more turn (or if my 3rd piece had been one space closer to the exit on the turn before), I would have won, but marble911 was the first of us to get two pieces out, so she won and I came in second place. Dgou also got two pieces out, but he came in last place because he was the last of us to do so.

d10-1d10-9 Lost by 1 point to marble911, in a game that was close from the beginning: 22-23

d10-1 I won a 3-player game versus marble911 and dgou, coming from far behind with a spectacular first roll on my last turn which gave me everything I needed without any rerolls: 3 Skulls, food, and workers. With what I already had saved, I had just enough to buy Empire (8 VP plus 6 more for my cities), enough workers to finish the Obelisk (6 VP), and neither of my opponents had Medicine against the Pestilence (from my 3 skulls) so they each lost 3 VP! I bought Medicine early (which is very unusual for me, so their own Pestilences only affected each other. I had actually discarded some goods (3 on the wood level to get down to the 6 goods limit) the turn before the last one because I already had 4 Developments and I knew that if I bought a 5th then (thereby ending the game) it wouldn’t be enough VP to pass the current high score. Dgou came in last place, just a point behind marble911: 31-24-23

d10-2 I came in last place behind dgou, who won with 23 points, and marble911 who placed 2nd with 21 points: 18-23-21

d10-3 I came in last place behind dgou, who again won with 23 points, and marble911 who placed 2nd with 20 points: 16-23-20

d10-4 Dgou won this 2-player game: 22-26

d10-5 I came in second behind marble911 who won, and dgou came in last place: 19-21-4

d10-6 I finally won a game of RttA this year, despite a drought and not being able to feed my cites in the last turn! Marble911 took second place and dgou came last: 21-15-7

d10-7 I came in last place behind marble911, who won by an astounding 36 points, and dgou who came in 2nd place. I had a good last turn, but too little, too late!: 21-36-27

d10-8 I won a 3-player game versus marble911 and dgou: 17-7-3

d10-9 I won a 2-player game versus marble911: 25-15

d10-1d10-0 Close game, but I came in last place behind dgou, who won, and marble911 who came in 2nd place: 24-22-21

d10-1d10-1 Marble911 won, I came in second place, and dgou was in last place this game: 19-20-11

d10-1d10-2 Marble911 won, dgou was close behind her in second place, and I was way behind in last place: 12-24-22

d10-1d10-3 Dgou won this 2-player game: 20-27

d10-1d10-4 Dgou won, I came in second place, and marble911 came in last in this 3-player game: 20-31-14

d10-1d10-5 Marble911 won, I came in second place, and dgou was in last place this game: 24-29-21

d10-1d10-6 Dgou won by a lot! I came in second place with one point more than marble911: 17-38-16

d10-1d10-7 Dgou rolled well on the last turn and passed by my score to win the game. Marble911 came in last place: 20-24-9

d10-1d10-8 As usual dgou was good at rolling skulls, and he won again! I came in last place, and marble911 came in second: 16-29-26

d10-1d10-9 I won! It's been a while since that happened. Dgou and marble911 tied in points, but dgou took second place with more goods left: 30-25-25

d10-2d10-0 I came in last place this game. Marble911 won, and dgou came in second place: 13-33-23

d10-2d10-1 I won a 3-player game. Marble911 came in second, and dgou came in last place: 28-26-14

d10-2d10-2 Dgou won by a large margin! Marble911 came in second, and I took last place: 15-40-18

d10-2d10-3 I came in last place this game. Marble911 won, and dgou came in second place: 11-24-15

Played Diablo II Lord of Destruction single-player on my Mac unless noted otherwise (which is Diablo II with the Lord of Destruction expansion installed).

Also, I usually play using the "/players 8" code to increase monster hit points, drops, and experience (only works in Single Player mode: hit the Return/Enter key, type /players 8, then Return/Enter again - the code resets to normal when exiting the game).

NOTE: Assume that each of my characters hires an archer Hireling as soon as allowed (when the "Defeat Blood Raven" quest is completed or the character reaches 8th level), even if I don't mention one, and may switch to a different type of Hireling later as new areas are reached.

January 22, 2020
d10-1 Started a new character: Lancelectric the Amazon, concentrating on Spear and Javelin skills. She is now at level 8, using a socketed trident and looking for a good short throwing spear.

January 27, 2020
d10-2 Lancelectric the Amazon is now level 11, but still using a socketed trident, but since I found a good javelin with some extra damage and some elemental damage, but more importantly, an expanded count (91!), I am going to keep using it for a while. Plus I socketed a shield (with the javelin) with 3 diamonds for some elemental and poison attack protection.

January 28, 2020
d10-3 Started a new character: Rattler the Necromancer, concentrating on Skeleton/Mage skills (and Amplify Damage and Bone Armor/Wall), mostly, although I may add a Golem and Bone Spear and Decrepify later. He's reached 8th level and acquired a Cold Arrow Hireling.

d10-4 I played another session tonight with Rattler the Necromancer, who is now level 11. I've now got some good equipment with cool bonuses for him and my Hireling, and some nice jewels that I socketed, too. I especially looked for wands that I could use to enhance my creatures when I summon them, but one of the wands also adds to Bone Shield when I cast it. I've decided to put some points in Golem skills, too, and wait until later to maybe work towards acquiring the Bone Spirit and Decrepify skills. Now now Rattler is using a scepter socketed with topaz (lightning) and sapphire (cold) gems to fight with, and a shield socketed with diamonds (elemental resistance).

January 30, 2020
d10-5 Rattler the Necromancer is now level 15.

MARCH 10, 2020
d10-6 I created a Werebear Druid, named Cubby, who is now level 12.

MARCH 14, 2020
d10-7 Vlad the Necromancer, who started the day at level 7, has obtained an archer hireling and is now level 12.

March 18, 2020
d10-8 Lancelectric the Amazon is now level 12 with the same socketed Trident, but she switched out her cool javelin for a short throwing spear which does more damage but has a much smaller stack size. I'm keeping her javelin as a back-up.

March 21, 2020
d10-8 Lancelectric the Amazon is now level 14. She has a hireling named Elly, which seems appropriate.

March 28, 2020
d10-1d10-0 I created a Barbarian named Bambi, who uses Mace class weapons, and Double Swing and Bash (and Shout). He is now level 13.

April 03, 2020
d10-1d10-1 I created a Sorceress named Elsa, who will concentrate on Cold Skills. She is now 6th level.

April 21, 2020
d10-1d10-2 Elsa the Sorceress of Cold skills is now level 13.

April 23, 2020
d10-1d10-3 Elsa the Sorceress of Cold skills is now level 14.

June 25, 2020
d10-1d10-4 I created a new character, Clang the Paladin, who is now level 9. I've mostly been putting my skill points into Prayer, planning on using them with the Cleanse skill when Clang reaches 12th level, and the Resistance aura skills, so far. I've been using scepters with skill attributes on them for now until I decide how I want to build the character. But I did put a couple of points in Sacrifice.

June 26, 2020
d10-1d10-5 Clang the Paladin is now level 14 and using Sacrifice with the Cleanse Aura (which also heals a point for no Mana cost for every point in Prayer), and in the alternate weapon area, Zeal with the Thorns aura (gotten from a scepter attribute). After much consideration, I put a point in Holy Bolt (and will put one in Blessed Hammer later), to give me access to Fist of the Heavens when the Paladin reaches 30th level.

June 28, 2020
d10-1d10-6 Clang the Paladin is now level 17.

August 7, 2020
d10-1d10-7 Whish the Assassin, who is mostly concentrating on Blade Sentinel and Tiger Strike, is now level 16.

August 20, 2020
d10-1d10-8 I created a new character: Tillie the Amazon, who I'm planning to keep equipped with crossbows, and to put skill points into the Bow/Crossbows skills and the Passive skills. She is now 12th level.

September 11, 2020
d10-1d10-9 I created a new character: Aelfweard the Druid, who I am planning to equip with polearm weapons (and perhaps a blunt weapon with a shield in the alternate weapons set-up), and concentrate on summoning and elemental skills. It's taken several levels of putting all my attribute points into Strength (the Druid starts with only 15 Strength points!) to allow Aelfweard to be able to equip any polearm, but I like how it is working out. He is now level 9 (and has a Cold archer Rogue hireling).

September 12, 2020
d10-2d10-0 Aelfweard the Druid is now level 11, and putting points into Dexterity, and skill points into Molten Boulder and Arctic Blast.

September 13, 2020
d10-2d10-1 Aelfweard the Druid is now level 16, and wielding a wicked scythe, and carrying too many charms... even after I reluctantly sold a few to make room in his inventory for picking things up.

September 14, 2020
d10-2d10-2 Aelfweard the Druid is now level 18. I've been finding some cool Druid-specific helms, which when worn, make him look similar to an Egyptian god with an animal head.

From gallery of Jude

Aelfweard (unfortunately the image got rather dark when I uploaded it to BGG)

September 16, 2020
d10-2d10-3 Aelfweard the Druid is now level 19 and has switched to carrying a Maul rather than a polearm. It's a two-handed weapon like the polearm class, although doesn't have as far of a reach, but it does a lot of damage and has the possibility of having as many sockets as a good polearm, and is also "fast" for the Druid, and the bluntness is more effective against the undead. I really intended to keep him equipped with polearms, but the Maul is just too tempting. In the alternate weapon set-up, he is still equipped with a shield socketed with diamonds (for elemental attack and poison protection, as well as physical protection) and a scepter with life regeneration properties, but I am looking to upgrade to a flail soon.

November 3, 2020
d10-2d10-4 I created a new character: Gryphon the Assassin, who has reached 6th level and will likely be concentrating her skills into those for Claw weapons (and passive skills, and maybe Tiger Strike).

Played on my Mac unless noted otherwise.

NOTE: I have all three add-on adventure packs installed, so I have access to some Investigators, Great Old Ones, and various cards and adventures that aren't in the basic version (which seem to make the game harder in addition to providing more variety).

BTW, the scoring is pretty meaningless since points are given for extending the game to succeed against more locations and monsters, rather than being efficient (or lucky ) and winning quickly.

There are no allies in the digital version of the game, and there are some other gameplay differences from the board game.

September 2, 2020

d10-1 Investigators versus Yyg:

Daisy Walker - Recovers all sanity when using a spell.
Diana Stanley - Gains a clue after defeating a monster.
Jenny Barnes - May discard a common item, spell, or clue to gain the red and yellow dice.
Sister Mary - Ignores locked dice and is immune to the nightly Mythos effect.

I hadn't played for a long while and chose the Yig ancient one to keep it simpler (and easier) until I got used to the rules and strategies again, although I did choose a couple of relatively unfamiliar (to me) investigators.

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

10/10 Elder Signs (with 2/8 Doom tokens) Score: 3435 (the score is pretty meaningless)

September 3, 2020

d10-2 Investigators versus Yyg:

Jenny Barnes - May discard a common item, spell, or clue to gain the red and yellow dice.
Kate Winthrop - Monsters cannot appear during her turn, and also, she's immune to all Terror effects.
Amanda Sharpe - May complete any number of tasks.
Gloria Goldberg - On Other World adventures, she gets the red and yellow dice free.

I could have bought a few Elder Signs with trophies, but I decided to not take the easy way to win.

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

10/10 Elder Signs (with 4/8 Doom tokens) Score: 3650 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-3 Investigators versus Azathoth:

Wilson Richards - May turn the yellow die to the result of his choice.
Jim Culver - May Focus or Assist even after a task is completed.
Vincent Lee - May restore 1 Stamina to any one investigator.
Carolyn Fern - May restore 1 Sanity to any one investigator.

I chose investigators which I've rarely used, whose abilities seem rather weak to me.

I lost the game, but it was so close! The investigators had collected 13 of the needed 14 Elder Signs, but the Doom Track had only 1 empty space left. Then the next Mythos event added 2 more Doom tokens, and all was lost! (A previous Mythos event had added 3 Doom tokens at once!).

Everyone was Devoured!!!

13/14 Elder Signs (but 13/12 Doom tokens ) Score: 2335 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-4 Investigators versus Azathoth:

Sister Mary - Ignores locked dice and is immune to the nightly Mythos effect.
Joe Diamond - May use a clue again after using it.
Jenny Barnes - May discard a common item, spell, or clue to gain the red and yellow dice.
Gloria Goldberg - On Other World adventures, she gets the red and yellow dice free.

Gloria Goldberg could have bought the last Elder Sign to win the game, but I let her do The Dreamworlds Otherworld encounter instead, to win (although, if she had failed, night would have brought another Mythos event).

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

14/14 Elder Signs (with 6/12 Doom tokens) Score: 4805 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-5 Investigators versus Yyg:

Mandy Thompson - Once per day, may reroll two dice.
Mark Harrigan - May complete ordered tasks in any order.
Rita Young - Does not suffer Sanity/Stamina losses from completing tasks.
Lily Chen - Once per day, may switch Sanity and Stamina values.

I tried playing with investigators that I normally don't choose.

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

10/10 Elder Signs (with 5/8 Doom tokens) Score: 3300 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-6 Investigators versus Yyg:

Ashcan Pete - Whenever he gains a Common, Unique, or Spell item, he may choose to take a Clue, Common, Unique, or Spell item instead.
Harvey Walters - May change a Terror result to a Lore.
Dexter Drake - Whenever he gains 1 or more Spell items, he also receives 1 extra Spell item.
Jacqueline Fine - Once per day, may spend a Clue to change the Mythos effect.

I tried playing with investigators that I normally don't choose.

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

10/10 Elder Signs (with 2/8 Doom tokens) Score: 3995 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-7 Investigators versus Yyg:

Marie Lambeau - Once per glyph conjure, she may spend 4 trophies to change one die to any result.
Lola Hayes - Once per turn, she may spend 2 trophies to refresh 1 green die that was used or discarded.
Tony Morgan - Receives 1 extra trophy when he defeats a monster.
Rex Murphy - Gains a Clue when he succeeds at an adventure with another investigator.

I tried playing with investigators that I normally don't choose.

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

10/10 Elder Signs (with 3/8 Doom tokens) Score: 3270 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-8 Investigators versus Yyg:

Charlie Kane - Gains 2 trophies if he succeeds at an adventure with another investigator.
Diana Stanley - Gains a clue after defeating a monster.
Monterey Jack - Whenever he gains 1 or more Unique items, he receives 1 extra Unique item.
Bob Jenkins - Whenever he gains 1 or more Common items, he receives 1 extra Common item.

I randomly chose 4 of the 29 available investigators (3 are still locked).

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

10/10 Elder Signs (with 2/8 Doom tokens) Score: 3395 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-9 Investigators versus Azathoth:

Jenny Barnes - May discard a common item, spell, or clue to gain the red and yellow dice.
Kate Winthrop - Monsters cannot appear during her turn, and also, she's immune to all Terror effects.
Gloria Goldberg - On Other World adventures, she gets the red and yellow dice free.
Joe Diamond - May use a clue again after using it.

This group of investigators is my favorite to play with.

Gloria Goldberg succeed in getting 2 Elder Signs on her turn to win the game, when only 1 was needed (and she would have had enough trophies to buy yet another Elder Sign on her next turn).

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

15/14 Elder Signs (with 7/12 Doom tokens) Score: 4620 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-1d10-0 Investigators versus Azathoth (Chosen randomly for this game):

Jim Culver - May Focus or Assist even after a task is completed.
Diana Stanley - Gains a clue after defeating a monster.
Rita Young - Does not suffer Sanity/Stamina losses from completing tasks.
Mark Harrigan - May complete ordered tasks in any order.

If I could have had one more round, either of two of my investigators could have bought the final Elder Sign needed to win the game. But the Mythos effect added 2 Doom Tokens to the Doom Track which was already at 10 of the 12 which ended the game.

Rough game! Tons of monsters, the Mythos effect added 3 Doom tokens twice, and monsters several times, and many of the locations added monsters even when successfully closed, and there were only 2 Other World locations during the whole game.

Everyone is Devoured!!!

13/14 Elder Signs (with 12/12 Doom tokens) Score: 2345 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-1d10-1 Investigators versus Hastur (Other World Adventures have an extra Doom Penalty):

Kate Winthrop - Monsters cannot appear during her turn, and also, she's immune to all Terror effects.
Michael McGlen - May change a Terror result to a Peril.
Darrell Simmons - May add 1 to an Investigation result (up to the dice color maximum).
Jacqueline Fine - Once per day, may spend a Clue to change the Mythos effect.

Although it seemed as though often the investigators couldn't do much (and the Curator location kept taking away their trophies every round), it took a while, but it turned out well.

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

13/13 Elder Signs (with 1/11 Doom tokens) Score: 5195 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-1d10-2 Investigators versus Tsathoggua (All Entrance costs are doubled):

Jenny Barnes - May discard a common item, spell, or clue to gain the red and yellow dice.
Kate Winthrop - Monsters cannot appear during her turn, and also, she's immune to all Terror effects.
Gloria Goldberg - On Other World adventures, she gets the red and yellow dice free.
Joe Diamond - May use a clue again after using it.

This group of investigators is my favorite to play with.

This game was intense! It felt like my investigators were in danger of being overwhelmed with monsters and locked dice and "end of day" effects, but they generally did well (or got lucky) and gathered enough Elder Signs to win.

I saw some locations and Mythos effects that I don't remember seeing before and I wonder if they are specific to Tsathaggua.

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

13/13 Elder Signs (with 3/11 Doom tokens) Score: 3910 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-1d10-3 Investigators versus Tsathoggua (All Entrance costs are doubled):

Sister Mary - Ignores locked dice and is immune to the nightly Mythos effect.
Jenny Barnes - May discard a common item, spell, or clue to gain the red and yellow dice.
Gloria Goldberg - On Other World adventures, she gets the red and yellow dice free.
Kate Winthrop - Monsters cannot appear during her turn, and also, she's immune to all Terror effects.

The world is saved! All four investigators survived.

13/13 Elder Signs (with 4/11 Doom tokens) Score: 4450 (the score is pretty meaningless)

d10-1d10-4 Investigators versus Hastur (Otherworld Adventures have an extra Doom Penalty):

Jenny Barnes - May discard a common item, spell, or clue to gain the red and yellow dice.
Kate Winthrop - Monsters cannot appear during her turn, and also, she's immune to all Terror effects.
Rita Young - Does not suffer Sanity/Stamina losses from completing tasks.
Gloria Goldberg - On Other World Adventures, she gets the red and yellow dice free.

There were a lot of locations with "At Midnight" effects, including The Curator, who showed up early and kept stealing the investigators trophies so that they couldn't make good use of them to heal nor buy items. Also, various dice kept getting locked, making me wish I had chosen Sister Mary for this game.

Three of the investigators came close to going insane, and although Gloria Goldberg saved the world by winning two Elder Signs at once, if she had failed the penalty for that adventure would have killed her!

But, all four investigators survived .

And the world is saved!

13/13 Elder Signs (with 6/11 Doom tokens) Score: 4675 (the score is pretty meaningless)

On my Mac. I was glad to see that this game still works (knock on wood) on my current Mac, unlike most of my other pinball games.

It has several different "pinball machines" to choose from. I set it to "Normal" difficulty, which gives me 5 balls every game, bringing back memories of the machines of my childhood, although they were much more mechanical.

I'm really out of practice, but I (barely) made it onto the high scores board.

I couldn't find this game's entry on videogamegeek.com, so I assume that there isn't one.

I have the Mac version demo, which I assumed meant that I could either play for a short period or only a very limited number of levels before I had to pay to continue (which I didn't do).

Much to my surprise, the demo let me play through 12 levels (and replay each one as often as I like, it seems) before requiring that I buy the game to continue.

It's a "select adjacent matching colored gems" game with various rules and bonus features for each level. Sometimes I like playing "match" games like this to relax (although the timed ones aren't very relaxing!).

WARNING!: Unfortunately, it seems (according to reviews at the Mac App Store) that the full version of the game has a bug that won't let the player advance past level 15. So, I don't advise playing more than the demo version.

September 9, 2020
d10-1 - d10-1d10-6 I had planned to play for a short time until the demo ran out, but I ended up playing for about an hour and a half (with replaying some of the available 12 levels). On only two of the demo's levels (8 and 11), I didn't get 3-star success.
