Although my "Free to print games that might actually be worth printing" geeklist (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/9271) pointed out some pretty good games, it's a couple of years later now, and it turns out I no longer have a color printer (well, OK, technically I own one, but it's in storage collecting dust because I decided the ink was way too expensive).

So, I have a handy-dandy B&W laser printer now.

Have any of you guys had any experiences getting any of the good free-to-prints to come out good on the laser? There are a few that I assume will be because the designer made them B&W in the first place, but the others make me wonder... and I thought I'd ask for suggestions before burning through toner and card stock printing out a ton of cards or game boards cool

Starting with a few that start out as B&W anyway, so they should come out of the laser printer just fine...

This is a very unusual abstract that can be printed up B&W.
You need two copies of the picture to play.
You could either print on two different colours of paper, or print one on white and one on colour, or print one image in negative.

Basically, you spend your time placing tiles to line up the symbols printed along the sides (like Xxxenophile or Girl Genius). However, there are only two scoring tiles, which either score a row, or score the tiles it touches. You will be drawing all your tiles, the thing is, you don't know when you'll be drawing them.

a free earlier version of Queen Victoria's Navy (not free) -- Sovereign Seas Lite, which has a simple map, counters, and rules in one file. (look in "archived games" at their site)

There doesn't need to be any color on the cars in this 2-4 player print-and-play game.

Very simple to put together (just cut out 12 rectangles), and works just as well in b/w as in color.

This is a game of out-thinking your opponent. I'm a big fan of Diplomacy, and while this game isn't about negotiations, I tried to put the "will he move to Munich to attack, or to Tyrolia to have a stronger defense" aspect into this game.

Each turn you choose where you want to move, and where you want a non-player car to move, and it's all revealed simultaneously. You can move a car out of your way, or move a car into your opponents way.

First one home wins.

This should work fine in B&W. The board is in green, but grey should be no problem. Some of the cards have Hearts or Diamonds on them in red, but the shape in grey would suffice.

Battleship: Search & Destroy. A combination of Battleship and Battleship Express. Search for the enemy is based on Battleship but you then have to attack with your own ships in a manner similar to Battleship Express.

My first Print & Play so feedback welcome.

So simple it barely requires dice and cash, Delivery is an easy to learn game with tough competition and fun variables: Will your restaurant be cheap or expensive? Will you invest in publicity or food quality? Will you make it on time and receive a generous tip or will your delivery boy be too slow and arrive too late?
Build your fast-food empire by building more and more restaurants and crushing your opponents.

MagiFlux is a card game for 2-4 players. The inspiration for this game came from Fluxx and Magic:The Gathering.

Objective of the game is to be the first to have cards in play that have a total of 10 Victory Points.

At the beginning of each turn, a player takes the top card from his own library, and untaps all resources. During each turn, a player may play 1 card face down as a resource. Resources and cards played remain in play.To play a card, pay by tapping the number of resources equal to its cost. Each card's cost is also worth the same amount of Victory Points.

Player may activate the abilities on his cards in play. Ability costs must be paid or triggered before the ability is resolved. Costs are usually related to player's own cards. A player is out of the game if he has no cards in his library.

Quote:
In the Generic Racing Game, the pawns of the players represent their racers, ready to race down the track.
The rules are exactly this: rules and nothing else. There is no given track to race upon, as you can create your own track just with a pencil and a sheet of common grid paper.
As racing always has been part of mankind's sports culture, there are a couple of themes given on the last sides of the rulebook, so you are free to choose the setting as well as the orientation of the gameplay (tactics, luck, wargame).
As a solitaire option, you can always race a track on your own and try to beat the number of turns you took on every subsequent lap.
