I recently discovered http://playingcards.io, a really easy-to-use site where you can create a 'room' equipped with a deck of cards and share the link with as many players as you like (no login required). Movement is automatically synchronised between all players, so you can see cards being dragged around in real-time. You each get a 'hand' area too, and you can add named areas on the table to stack cards. If you've used Tabletop Simulator, think of this as a 2-D version.

But the coolest thing about it is the customisation features they've been adding! You can add new decks from a .csv file containing links to card images, so you choose basically any deck that you can create/scan images for. You can also resize decks, so you can easily use them to generate custom tokens too, and there are coloured pawns, counters and d2/4/6/8/10/12/20 spinners too.

Recently you've also been able to save an entire room layout (decks, positions of stacks on the table, counters etc.) which makes it very easy to share a customised set up for a specific game. For someone else to use it, they just create a new room as usual, go to 'edit mode', choose 'room options' and then upload the .pcio file.

This list is for users to add links to custom rooms/decks they've created. Link to the .pcio or .csv file and give a brief description.

An online spot to play Friedemann Friese's latest solitaire effort. It's a little rough (I would really like some "snap to" guides when placing card holders), but it does use the provided images.

David Parlett's Abtrac

"What could be simpler than a game of perfect information where you deal the cards out in a row and then pick them up one by one? (Or two, or three, as the case may be.) Simple? Yes - but there's more to this Nim-type game than meets the eye."

Rules at https://www.parlettgames.uk/oricards/abstrac.html

Two rooms: (I prefer the 52 card version.)
24 card version, with two of Parlett's variations (base game and suit of exposed card determines how many cards you can take): https://github.com/jkandell/cardgame/raw/main/abstrac-jk-24....

52 card version of game: https://github.com/jkandell/cardgame/raw/main/abstrac-jk-52d...

update 8/21: in 52c room corrected scoring error in cheat-sheet; aesthetic improvements in 24c and 52c rooms.

BGG thread: Agent Decker recreated digitally on playingcards.io
roguenull wrote:
To facilitate gameplay, I created 5 green circular buttons in the table setup to automate some parts of the game:
Refresh Obstacle Deck: If your Obstacle deck is empty, click this and it will shuffle all discarded Obstacles to create a fresh Obstacle Deck.
Line Scroll: Clicking this will shift all Obstacles in your Line one slot to the right, with the rightmost sliding off into the Discard pile (you should then raise the Alarm using the Counter next to the Obstacle Discard pile). If you Disarm an obstacle in the middle of the Line, this button won't work perfectly, and you'll need to manually move around some obstacles yourself.
Refresh Player Deck: If your Player Deck is empty, click this and it will shuffle all discarded Player cards to create a fresh Player Deck.
Draw 4: Draws 4 cards from the Player Deck and turns them face-up and places them in the rectangle labelled "Hand" at the bottom-right side of the screen. (To save space, I've placed only the top half of the cards on the table since only the top half of the Player cards matter anyway). If the Player Deck has less than 4 cards, will draw any remaining cards and stop. You will need to refresh the Player Deck, then manually draw (drag and drop) any remaining cards needed to reach a hand of 4 for that turn.
Reset for new mission: When you win a mission, move the mission reward card to the Equipped area, and drag the next few Obstacle cards for the next mission into the Obstacle Discard pile, until you see the next Mission card appear. Then click this Reset button. It will shuffle together all the Obstacle cards into a fresh deck, and draw the top 6 cards to form the Obstacle Line to start off the next mission. The Reset button also resets the player's deck by shuffling together the player deck with the Discard pile. Do remember to drag any cards remaining in the Play Area into the Discard pile first, as the Reset button will only target cards specifically placed in the Discard pile.

Enjoy, and many thanks to Manuel for his permission to share this, and this fun and innovative game!

A very quick and dirty implementation using Carol's Parade. The 3p-only cards are separated out but will of course return to the deck if you use the shuffle button, so to play 2p you'll either have to restack the cards yourself, or reload the room.

I'll probably improve this one but should do the job - the space under the trick play boxes is for each player to make a stack of each colour.

Added automation. Hit part 1 to deal cards, then shuffle the three highlighted stacks (in player two's area), then hit part 2. Easy Peasy Lemon Molesty.

There are 2 files.

One for a fully automated room that will pick your faction, shuffle deck and draw initial hand, draw cards when you pass, and clear cards.

The other is less automated, but has a cleaner look.

I wanted to play Knizia's Aristocracy with my game group, but 1) we're all online, and 2) setup is a bear. So I made a version on playingcards.io with my (admittedly paltry) skills. Still, it appears to work.

Bali - My favorite word game!

Each player starts with a tableau of seven letters, and gradually builds down from each to form words and parts of words. (Must be syllables of a real word.) Each turn you either "cash in" a complete word (scoring pts X length) OR move whole columns of letters--yours or opponent's--onto the end of one of your columns. As you create openings you then fill the "holes" with new letters from the stock. You may move whole columns from your own tableau or from your opponent's, as long as long as you can defend the final result as part of a real word. Since your opponent can take from you as easily as you can take from her, it means none of your own creations are safe and you have to think as much about defense as offense. If you end the game with all seven columns with whole words, you score double--a gambler's gambit.

Rules: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/33707/bali-rules-pdf

pcio file: https://github.com/jkandell/cardgame/raw/main/bali-jk.pcio

Note: I make the wildcard "bali" tiles here get zero points; official rules say "5 pts". Please adapt tile distribution to your own language (perhaps following jarnac?).

Tiles based on jarnac pcio room by Kevan James.

Barbu is a fun 4p compendium game with 28 hands taking 3 hours.
Implemented here is "Barby", a 2-player adaptation, taking only 14 hands in just over an hour. Players choose a narrowing array of 7 contracts (two positive, five negative).

I'm not normally a fan of the "strawman" mechanic, but since Barbu involves a lot of luck and chaos to begin with, it works out well. The 2p version is more about how you play best with unknown cards after taking your best stab at a contract. In a concession to 2 player dynamic, doubling is restricted to exactly 3 times--giving a different feel than the regular game. (There are some variations with more fluid options.) I recommend folks play quickly, since 14 hands is not fun with A.P., and this isn't chess.

Implementation notes:
Deal options for the 6 card or 8 card hands, with larger or smaller strawmen piles. (Some players prefer the larger hand for a more strategic feel.)

Hearts can be displayed and Dominos played out in the top left area.

Contracts are indicated on the bidding table using colored pegs, with black pegs to show doubles. Lave the peg for the live game askew to make the contract clear.

Decided to put the deck I made above to good (?) use and try out Bargain Hunter. Used a black joker for the super bargain cards.

Note: removed the recall button as cards stay in piles between rounds.

Very, very light four-player trick-taking game. Only 16 cards, 4 cards per player!

Probably best played in a pub.

Make sure you double as often as possible! The more careless risks you take, the more fun it is!

The card ranking of the trump suit is bizarre. So in this implementation, the trump suit is numbered from 1 to 12 (or 1 to 14 depending on the deck you're playing with) so you don't have something else to remember.
