Rich and the dice completely hosed me in this game. I couldn't make a third down conversion to save my life. Rich ran back one kick off 97 yards and I threw an interception on my own 15 at one point we just called the game in the third quarter.
This card game is just dripping with theme and the gameplay isn't half bad either. Next play will be better now that I understand the rules. The three of us were within one point of each other in the end.
I really enjoyed this quick economic game and the rules are super light but don't feel abstracted away. Greg monopolized oil in the last sale and Richard had a mix of oil and tech which made him really close but retail tanked and that's what I owned.
My fourth play at this and enjoying it more and more. The buildings and interplay with the resource management and risk management really hit the sweet spot.
I went with a Turbo Farm strategy to give me an extra die and the ability to modify it by 1 with the Market and then just built defensively and in the last year tried to pick up the big VP buildings. The strategy paid off in the end by one pip of the die. Great drama!
