I am looking to get a few more games that are not in the top 100 but make for great games. I guess you could call them the unnoticed ones. Well this is your time to make them aware to others and myself. I would love all your input.

This is one of my all time favorites. I think this game is a gem, but most other don't like the mechanic of being able to ruin other peoples collection. My group of gamers thrives on this. We have been playing this game since 1998 and have yet to grow tired of it. You can still pick up a copy on Amazon if you?re lucky.

This is another game that falls into the same style of Priceless with some minor differences. I like this one more personally and it is a top ten fav of mine.

This isn't what you are looking for, but it fits your description anyway, so there!

It's a game in the bottom 15% or 20% of BGG, but it's tons of fun if one of the players is 2 years old. Since I have a daughter that age, I rate this very highly.

I have 4 games ranked 10. Two of them are not really games, but "game systems" that can be used to play many games (Piecepack and Icehouse). From the other two, this is the lowest ranked game at 343.

It's an excellent adventure game (the best of its kind) and although it's complex, it's rewarding.

It's OOP, but copies can usually be found here and on eBay, but it's not that hard to make a copy especially since a BGG member is redesigning all the art for the components (see this thread: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/257164 )

It appears that this is my lowest rated "10". If you've visited BGG more than a few times, you know that I like "party" games. Charades is pretty much the grandaddy of all social games and I really love competitive team charades (not the boxed editions). I think this has a low rating because most people perceive it to be in two of the "evil" categories that are shunned here on BGG: party game and kid game. Of course it's not a kid game at all, people just remember it from their youth and it is a party game but, like Times Up, can be played very competitively and still retain its fun factor.

This is the lowest ranked game that I rate above six. Banque Fatale is also pretty obscure with only 54 users confessing to ownership and the company that produced it - Blatz - no longer active. It attracted no buzz when published and seems to have suffered from a serious mis-translation in an early set of English rules. To cap off the negatives, it won't go down well with the many with a phobia for blind bidding.

On the plus side, it's a Stefan (For Sale, Medina, Kreta) Dorra design and his games always have some interesting ideas. Banque Fatale is a share buying and selling game. Its most interesting idea is the use of coloured chips that represent money.

The chips have two functions; bid the most and you gain a share card, but the total number of chips of a colour bid effects that colour's share price. This dual function can create some interesting dilemmas. For instance, you may want the share that's up for auction but the colours you have to bid with will boost opponents' share prices.

At the end of an auction players take turns to take back into hand one coloured chip until none are left. Obviously, your opponents will try to deny you the colour of chips you need by taking them first.

A clever game, best with three players in my experience, with four there's a bit too much chaos.

This was brought out in '86, and my gaming group welcomed it wiith open arms.

The threats, the vendettas, the bribes, the drugs, gambling, and unusual sexual practices. Extortion is a valid game strategy, as is Bullying and Theiving.

Lets just say it was our sort of game.

Still the only game I know of where your cash in hand becomes worthless Yen and you make a rush for the airport to avoid the encroaching commies. Of course this leaves you open to assasination to those jealous of your swiss bank account.

Ah such memories

Beautiful, under-rated family-game gemstone by Alex randolph, similar movements to Ricochet Ropbots (7 years before that), but with a theme (ghosts in china cannot walk around corners by themselves ...) and a strong bluffing element. Great fun!

This is a really good game, if you play with the option that allows you to hold several cards in your hand. You draw a card, select one of the cards to play and execute it. This allows for planning ahead and makes the game somewhat strategic, instead of the pure luck fest it is otherwise.

This game is probably my favorite low-ranked game. Although I don't know the exact reason it's ranked so low, I'm pretty sure that being in bands in the past makes the humor have alot more meaning. In fact, it seem like a good portion of the humor in it is aimed at people with experience in bands, so if you aren't very familiar in that area, it might not be so appealing.

My favorite joke in the game makes reference to 'my secret is using more reverb', which is exactly something that we always made the singer in our band do. So obviously, I would enjoy that joke more than others perhaps.

This game is ranked 958 at the moment, although the raw ranking of 7.4 is pretty good. This is the game I thought of when seeing this list. It is independently produced and long out of print, but seems to come up with some regularity on Ebay.

Although it has the trappings of a wargame, it is really more of a "capture the king" abstract strategy game featuring simultaneous movement. Every turn, players write down the movements of 12 pieces and then read the moves off to each other. Pieces that end up on the same square fight and are eliminated according to a rock-scissors-paper pattern but with variations based on whether the unit is army (1st, 2nd or 3rd armies), cavalry (1st, 2nd, or 3rd cavalries) or are guerillas. Army has the upper hand in forests and cavalry in the fields. There are also artillery pieces that will eliminate units within a certain distance and elevation (the plastic, molded board has 3 levels). A lot of the game revolves around working your pieces into your opponent's territory to take out their artillery to open the way to their general.

This game is a heck of a good time trying to outguess your opponent. There a lot of variety here in what is a very simple set of mechanics. Highly recommended if you can hunt down a copy.
