What's this list for?
If you have games you'd like to sell/buy and conduct transactions at 2 pm on 31 July at EsCon, you can list them here.
FRI START TIME FOR CONVENTION 11:45 am
Guidelines for Listing items
When you list your item(or bundle your items on a single entry), include the condition of the game and price.
Please note anything the buyer should know about the game(Example: "This game is the German version" or "Insert discarded" "Missing (fill in the blank)," etc.
All items on this list are BIN(no auctions, please).
The transaction will be handled by you from beginning to end through the BGG marketplace so that BGG receives their commission. (See below for instructions on how to add a game to BGG marketplace.)
When your item sells, please edit your items entry to include the word "Sold" someplace.
The designated area to meet up and conduct your sales is outside the Media Center at Heritage Elementary School. Here is the address: 1855 E Valley Pkwy, Escondido. The exchange will start promptly at 2pm on Saturday. Contact Steve P. if you need help identifying your buyer/seller.
General Guidelines Day of Exchange
The outside area will have letters on the ground(e.g. "A", "B", "C", etc.)
Sellers: Upon arriving promptly at 2pm, please post yourself at the station that corresponds to the first letter or YOUR username.
Buyers: Pay seller prior to arriving or bring cash in envelope to the seller's username letter(posted on the ground at meet-up location.
If you are buying AND selling, consider bringing a friend to collect your purchased games while you are positioned at your station to exchange your sold games.
If you have no friends/children/servants, please alert your sellers of your situation and maybe they will come to you to make the exchange.
Continuous Flea Market/FleaCon
In addition to the VFM, we are offering a continuous Flea Market(FleaCon). Tables will be provided in the main gaming area to present games for sale during the convention. For those registered for EsCon, 1/3 of 6' table is free. Attendees can leave stack of games with price list and mobile number on table. Interested buyers can text you and coordinate the exchange. Non-con attendees can rent and monitor their tables on Saturday. Contact Steve P. at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in in renting a table(non-con attendees) or more than the free 1/3 of 6" table(con-attendees).
Due to venue change we are discontinuing the continuous Flea Market for this event to provide more tables for open gaming.
Orphan Game Table
If you have games that you would like to donate to a good home, please feel free to drop them off inside the theater at the orphan game table or give them to Steve P.
Tips for VFMing like a Boss:
Show up on time(please). Many EsConners want to make their exchanges and get back to gaming.
Coordinate with seller if you are NOT paying with cash(Paypal, Venmo, farm animal, DogeCoin, etc.) Be sure that seller can accept that form of payment.
Contact me if absent. If something happens and you can't make it, please e-mail me (email@example.com) and I will alert your buyers/sellers. Stuff happens and everyone understands. Just let us know.
Politeness. Please be polite.
Signage. If you have a lot of transactions, consider bringing a sign with your BGG username to make it easier for folks to find you.
Print the map and take it with you. The event is held at a large high school. The VFM exchange occurs outside between the field and the theater.
Ask me if you need help. I'm tall, balding and near-sighted and will be wearing a black EsCon shirt. My job is to direct traffic and help unite buyers and sellers.
Check out the Con. Even if you don't register for EsCon, feel free to check out the Continuous Flea Market Tables, the game library, and the venue.
Lowballs. Some buyers will make potentially lowball offers. If you are triggered by lowball offers to your items, please mark FIRM after the price.
Some sellers won't be interested in making deals. That's OK.
Look for the Seller's Username(name in parenthesis) First initial sign on the ground. For example, my username starts with an "E" NOT "N"
Enjoy your new games or newfound shelf space!
