Very simple to put together (just cut out 12 rectangles), and works just as well in b/w as in color.

This is a 2-4 player game of out-thinking your opponent. I'm a big fan of Diplomacy, and while this game isn't about negotiations, I tried to put the "will he move to Munich to attack, or to Tyrolia to have a stronger defense" aspect into this game.

Each turn you choose where you want to move, and where you want a non-player car to move, and it's all revealed simultaneously. You can move a car out of your way, or move a car into your opponents way.

First one home wins.

From the Rules:

"Have you ever wanted to build a basketball dynasty to rival that of Wooden’s legendary UCLA teams? How about experiencing the thrill of recruiting, developing and a starting a team of Champions? What about trying to improve a run-of-the-mill team into a tournament team, all while trying to keep your job? You can do all of these things a more in Basketball Dynasty—in under an hour.

Basketball Dynasty is a game about recruiting and developing college basketball players, while trying to qualify for the tournament and win a championship. Each player acts as the head coach of a college basketball team and has 12 years to win as many games, go to as many tournaments and win as many championships as possible. As the coach, you determine who to recruit (do you want solid season performers or the star who can win in the big game), who to develop, who to start and bench, and what style of team do you want (e.g., a group of 'team players' or bunch of talented 'individuals' who happened to play on the same team)."

Components:

1 Six-Sided Die
1 Rules Book
1 School Rating Chart
1 Coach Record Sheet
14 School Roster Boards

From the Rules:

"Have you ever wanted to match the tactical brilliance of Napoleon versus the charismatic sheer will to succeed of Alexander the Great? Do you want to see how Caesar’s ingenuity flourishes with the use of mechanized
infantry or missiles? How about seeing Genghis Kahn flying in low over the steppes to terrorize his opponents with attack helicopters? Go into battle with some of the most feared and successful military leaders of all time. Use the same tactics they used to win their battles. Fight with the military forces revered throughout history. All this is possible with the abstract wargame--Battle Leader Tactics (BLT)."

BLT is a component and introductory game for the Battles Leaders Tactics & Technology (BLTT) master game. BLTT is an abstract wargame that depicts some of the greatest military leaders (e.g., Alexander, Napoleon, Caesar, etc.) commanding historical units in some of the world most decisive battles (e.g., Megiddo, Zama, Hastings, Waterloo, etc.) using proven tactics of history. BLT serves as a basic game introducing players to the interaction between army units, leaders and tactics. BLT allows players to command standard troops (e.g, infantry, cavalry, artillery and guard) and special military units (e.g., 300 Spartans, Panzer Army Afrika, etc.) with historic military leaders using real tactics and fog of war--all without any dice. The primary resolution engine for the game is housed in the Tactics Results Chart (TRC), which compares tactics selected by the players and determines losses, if any, of army units.

Components:

21 Leader Cards
24 Tactics Cards (12 for each player)
28 Army Cards (14 for each player)
10 Special Army Cards
1 Tactics Results Chart
1 Rules Booklet
1 Leader Card Explanation Sheet

From Rules:

A wise man named Wei Fu had five sons who he loved dearly. He loved each in his own way, but favored his oldest most of all. In fact, he showed affection and appreciation to each son in descending order of their birth. Over time, this greatly displeased his younger sons to the point of confrontation. Being respectful to their father, the younger two sons did not accuse their father directly, but merely asked the question: "What more can I do to earn your respect?" At first the father was outraged that his younger sons would question his fidelity, but then he realized their defiance presented an opportunity.

His land had been plagued by prankster Dragon that ate his crops, scared away his workers and generally caused chaos throughout his land. He decided to put his younger sons to the test of ridding his land of this Dragon. The sons agreed, but pleaded: "Should our older brothers be denied this opportunity to prove their devotion to you?" Knowing full well his sons' intent, Wei Fu agreed to send all five sons on the quest. However, his older sons, fearful for their safety, begged for a reprieve. Acquiescing, Wei Fu decided to ease the burden by declaring: "The Dragon is the quest! However, I would still appreciate any son who brings me the finest examples of the Five Elements of Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal, which provide the very foundation of our world." With this alternative quest, he would assign the easier tasks to his older sons—or so he thought.

Weilong or "Powerful Dragon" is a simple dice game based loosely on the dice game One-O-Five and the Chinese card game Shou Ba Yi. Each player represents the role of one of Wei Fu's sons on their quest to collect the Five Elements or capture the Dragon. Each player rolls their dice and sets aside those dice showing their target number (Element). The objective is to roll all five dice of the target number before any other player. Target numbers are determined by drawing cards (Son Cards). The Son Cards also have unique abilities for the players.

Once a player has set aside all five dice of the target number or captured the Dragon (by collecting the dice 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5), the remaining players add up the total of the dice they have collected along with the penalty number at the bottom of the card and track those points. Your goal is have the lowest point total each round and for the game. The Son cards are then passed to the left and the next round begins (5 Player Game). The winner is the player who has the least amount of points after 5 rounds.

KOENIGSWAHL - free P&P, with a lot of German Language

In Koenigswahl, each player takes the role of a medieval dynasty in the Holy Roman Empire between 1000 and 1600. Players start as bondsman and attempt to ascent ranks, with the goal to obtain ministry positions at the court of the kaiser. Each ministry equals one vote. The objective of the game is to gain enough votes to assign the new emperor after the old kaiser died.

By managing workers, building new buildings, trading with cities, raising taxes, diplomacy and using political influence, cultural development, population growth, and military actions, each player tries to reach specific conditions which qualify him/her for either secular or religious ascension. Moreover, each player has to guarantee the continuous existence of her/his dynasty by getting offspring and marrying offspring with the offspring of other players.

In addition to the boards, counters, and cards to be printed, the game requires 1d4, 2d6, 1d8, and 1d10 dice.

You like Elemental Clash but are tired of duelling wizards and fantasy: Wait no longer for now the time has come to turn fantasy into science-fiction! Lo behold interstellar warlords, Space Clash is here!

The aim of this CCG-style game is to reduce the cards in your opponent’s card-deck (or Supply) to zero by using the Structures, Spaceships, Troops, Equipment and Events in your Supply. For each point of damage a Player receives, he or she puts the top card of his or her deck on his or her discard-pile (the Junkyard). Is a player unable to draw a card, he or she loses immediately.

You like Elemental Clash and are a fan of South Park? Or are you only a South Park fan? Or have you ever wondered why The Simpsons have their own card game and South Park hasn't?
If any of these statements are true for you, then this free print&play card game for 2 or more players may be the right thing for you!

In The South Park Card Game you build a deck (the Town) of 40 cards representing classic South Park Characters, Things, Locations and Events out of a pool of 101 available cards. Use the cards in your Town to destroy the opponent's Town. For each point of damage dealt through Folks, Stuff and Events your opponent has to put the topmost card of his or her Town onto his or her Dump. If your opponent would have to draw a card and is unable to do so, he or she loses immediateley.

The game contains characters and situations from South Park Season 1.

Wanna see Santa grabbing a Pump Gun and whipping Jesus' behind? Wanna have Kenny killed by Turkeys only to yell "Oh my god! They killed Kenny!" ("You bastards")? Or wanna dress up Cartman as Hitler and give him an anal probe?
These and more bizarre absurdities await in The South Park Card Game!
