I just bought a microbadge for Ticket to Ride (yellow train) and it got me thinking about color choices in games. I usually play red. Carcassonne series, Settlers of Catan series, Ark of the Covenant, Carcassonne: The Discovery, homemade Can't Stop (w/meeples), Hey! That's my fish, Oasis, Sorry, and many others. But in Ticket to Ride I used red the first couple times I played then switched to yellow and have used that ever since. I also use an orange highlighted Hulk X-90 (known as Criag) in RoboRally. I was wondering if anyone else has a very odd change of color choice in a certain game/series and why. I will start with my Ticket to Ride series choice.

(I am not talking about games that don't have your normal color)

We play Ticket to Ride: Europe the most of the series (also own USA and Switzerland). This is the game that I went with yellow instead of my normal red. The reason that I did this is because for whatever reason it is easier for me to see my trains when they are yellow on these boards. I had trouble seeing the red and yellow seemed to "jump" for me.

ps.the picture is of the Mexican Train markers that we use on the score track.
