I believe Shawn's verdict was "never playing THAT again."

Denise Todd Dave Mike Ross
fields 2 4 4 -1 1
pastures 1 3 3 3 1
grain 1 -1 -1 1 1
vegetables 4 2 -1 1 1
sheep 1 1 -1 1 -1
wild boar -1 -1 -1 1 2
cattle 1 -1 -1 2 1
unused spaces 0 0 0 -3 -3
fenced stables 0 0 0 1 0
clay rooms 3 0 0 3 0
stone rooms 0 8 8 0 8
family members 15 15 9 9 12
card points 2 3 7 4 12
bonus points 1 5 0 3 0
totals 30 38 26 25 35

We were using the I deck. I'm surprised I won this game. I felt like I never got a good food engine going and was always scurrying to avoid taking begging cards. I didn't plow any fields or build fences until round 11. I had the chamberlain that allowed me to take round 12-14 actions unopposed. I think using those better actions (plow then sow, renovate then build fences) helped make up for doing that stuff so late. I pretty much focused on increasing my family early and often.

Denise had a sick combo for the grain action. A card made players give her a food to take grain (and she got a food from the supply when she took it) and another card gave her additional grain. I was surprised when she finished the game with only 1 grain. The rest of us pretty much ignored the grain action space after that first card was played. This really nerfed the card Ross played that gave him something when people sowed.

Ross sat out the round 14 actions because of some card that gave him 8 pts.

Best described as apples to apples crossed with wits and wagers scoring. I'm not a big fan of party games, but this is better than most. It is definitely a big improvement over A2A, but I'd rather play wits and wagers. I prefer numbers to words.

We only played 1 round. The 3 companies were tied at 15. Ross and I were invested in the company that was determined to be the largest while Shawn was invested in the smallest. Stacking something 30 tall seems fairly impossible.

I only won 1 auction, but it was a doozy, 34 cat points for 19. It seemed like most of the other auctions were netting 4-6 points except for Ross who was collecting the -8 cats for some reason.
