This is the sixth in a series of Geeklists I started with http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/34035. Pointers to all of the lists in the series are located there.

This one, however, is a bit different from the rest of the series - an interlude because I want a break from creating polls. It's objective in only one sense - at the point that I'm creating this list, none of the games listed are owned by more people than currently note that they own Jati on BGG (i.e., 15). Since there aren't polls, comments are welcome - and everyone is welcome to add their own examples.

What is common to these games - beyond their rarity (I'd note that "grails" for collectors such as Hotel Life and Big Boss are listed as owned by as many people as all these games combined) - is that I enjoy them, and can recommend them. If you're adding games, please only add games that you likewise can recommend.

A fun little take on roll-and-move from Klaus Teuber, from long before Settlers. Hasn't always gone over glowingly, but my gaming group has had fun with it.

Think of it as the German answer to The Game of Life - but instead of moving after spinning, players decide how to allocate the results of a die roll. Just as in Life, insurance can be purchased - but there are far more opportunities to play the odds, and not nearly enough money to insure against everything.

A very cool tile laying game that is one of the earlier (and the earliest I'm aware of) examples of individual player boards; about the only knock against the game from my point of view is the need for the players to keep the game balanced by attacking the right player.

I suppose it's so new that I shouldn't include it, but it's fallen well under the radar - and with no good reason. The concept - turning Minesweeper into a two player game - is carried off remarkably well; the familiarity of the source makes the game very accessible, and it's a well designed conversion.

Trust Reinhold Wittig to toss together a bunch of random components, apply a simple roll and move system, and come up with an engaging game experience. It's a fairly straight-forward game, but raiding a museum works really well as a theme.

Well, OK, this one isn't for sale anywhere, making for a good reason it's not got more owners. It's worth keeper an eye open for, though - I would never have expected a slot machine mechanism to make for a good game, but the dice rolling combined with the variety of choices available works quite well.

A fascinating game system; I must admit that designing a game around the works of a mathematician pleases me, and the games fit the theme well.

What a wonderful game this hidden gem is - lots of die rolling, but little luck, and the theme (the overcrowding of Easter Island) is carried off remarkably well by this abstract design.

While I must admit to preferring the theme of Auf Fotosafari in Ombagassa (which has too many owners for this list), combining that games mechanisms with a Haba presentation and changing a couple of rules to lessen frustration works quite well.

Cute little deduction game - somewhat simpler, and far better presented, than Mastermind.

While I didn't include this as one of the 10 because it's actually tied with Jati at 15 owners, the notion that a well-known, SdJ winning designer (Henn) could have a clever trick taking game published by a non-fly-by-night publisher (Klee) and still have no more owners listed than Jati convinced me that it had to be here. It's not a _great_ trick taking game, but it is unique and engaging, and well worth trying.
