‘Planet of the Ages’, based on the board game ‘Duel of Ages’

Imagine the team of Sir Gawain and Genghis Khan running for their lives towards the nearest labyrinth, desperately trying to get away from the Bladed Terror, while up ahead, Napoleon is confronting the labyrinth challenge by matching wits with Shakespeare. This one could be a huge summer blockbuster hit.

‘Bang Your Wagon!’ based on the card game ‘Bang!’

What a great idea for a Western. The Sheriff wants to get the outlaws before they get him, but he’s not sure who the bad guys are. Some cowboys want to help him; others want to see him dead. Everyone is scheming, conniving, and acting paranoid because no one knows the real intentions of the others. Good stuff.

‘2 Seat Space Odyssey’ based on the board game, ‘Sucking Vacuum’

A science fiction film with six passengers aboard a doomed spacecraft vying for 2 seats in an escape pod could become a cult classic.

‘Organist with the Wind’ based on the board game ‘Princes of Florence’

Ah, the internal struggle as five Princes compete to erect the most perfect landscapes and buildings to inspire Poets, Dramatists, and the like, to create their most important works.

ECK, YUCK. Well, this would not be a great movie, but it has ‘Oscar’ written all over it.

The movie: FULL METAL PANTS

Best line from the movie: "I look CHIVALROUS? Try scared s***less."

Digital slow motion Medieval battle scenes correographed by the the guy who trained the professional reenactors who work at the Frazier Historical Arms Museum. He also did the combat scenes for Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Oscar candidate for best digital effects.

Perhaps there were Medieval Drill Intructors along the lines of George Carlin's Indian Sergeants. "On the morrow you shall attack the castle again. Be ready, Sire. It will be different. There WILL be soldiers in the castle."

This just screams to be some wacky kids' cartoon movie. Think of all the merchandising it would generate.

I've been on this site for 15 years now, and I'm far from sick of games, but I think I prefer a better balance of favorites to new games. I'm also tired of playing 4+ hr multiplayer games, but I'll still happily play really long games 2 player.

Perhaps not based on the board game so much as the books, but this could definitely make for an excellent series of movies.

Yeah, I know, but that movie only superficially resembled Heinlein's book and this game. Imagine what they could do with good CGI power suits bouncing around in a swarm of bugs.

I always liked those films like "Jason and the Argonauts" with all their cheesy, stop-action animated skeletons and cyclopses. But a new film that combines all the ancient mythologies in one great big free-for-all would just be too cool. Plus we would get to see the ultimate evolution of concept from computer game, to board game, to movie, to...er, book?

This would make a fantastic adventure/war movie with its exotic Arabian Nights setting. Its progenitor game, Legend of the Five Rings is equally good cinematic material, like The Last Samurai, but with magic.

If done right, this game would be an incredible movie. The greatest fear that I would have is seeing another "Judge Dread" or something that just doesn't catch my attention. The storyline from the RPG and CCG could really be cool and quite twisted. I would suggest having the main plot be a 3-way war amongst one of the street gangs, cops, and corporations. It could be very interesting and have lots of hidden/secret things occuring all throughout the show like SG does with their blackops program.

Allegiance could make one of the most interesting fantasy based political films ever. With all of the many warring factions within a city, there could be countless events where highly influential leaders could move and change stances for the support of the lords. You could also use some of the history from the world in and of itself to create multiple movies. My big fear would be the film being something like the D&D or Mummy movies.
