The Get Blue to BGG.con GG fundraising event!
- Eric FloodUnited States
I haven't yet been to a large gaming con ever in my life (only to PhoenixConGames once, last year). I am a grad student, so my cash situation isn't so good. I'm in Tucson, so getting to cons other than our own RinCon is quite difficult for me.
I really, really, want to go to BGG.con in November.
Unfortunately, it's too expensive. I'm estimating between $500-$750 for the whole event. I can probably only afford ~ half of that.
That's where you come in!
All you have to do is reply with a game and a 1GG tip to this GeekList (not the entries themselves, as those will go to whomever posted the reply!). If the game you want to propose has already been listed, just thumb it after tipping.
For every 5 GG tipped and thumbed towards a game, I will play it (as best I can, some games are difficult to find and get played). If an entry has 25 GG/thumbs, I will take a picture of me playing the game and upload it. If an entry has 50 GG/thumbs, I will write a session report! If an entry has 75 GG/thumbs, I will write a review!
I will make sure and list all donators as sponsors of the session reports/reviews, and label all my contributions with The Get Blue to BGG.con GG Fundraising Event!
If you tip, say, 5GG, you can reply to one game and let me know that 3GG should be used towards that game, and reply to another and let me know that 2GG should be used towards that game.
This is your chance to make a player who hates randomness play your most favorite random games! This is a chance to make me write a review of a game you like that is getting no love! This is a chance for you to get more information about a game you're on the fence about!
If I cannot get access to a game, I will let you know ASAP. Use my "owned" list for ideas, but any "common" game I can typically find in Tucson (but probably not some Winsome Release from 1998).
Thanks for reading, and I hope I get some donations!
