Found this at a toy swap for $4. The rules don't sound very interesting to me but it seems to get positive comments so I will give it a shot.

I won an auction on eBay this weekend for this game:
2,99 € for a brand new game, still shrinkwrapped.
I 've read a few reviews here on the geek, and just couldn't leave it there.

Double nine set in tin. $1.00.
Missing rules and hub (but no matter.) I've wanted to go beyond double six, or even just to get a nice, heavy set. This does the trick and is at just the right price. My other, old, set is a light 99 cent set.
Deseret Industries, Chula Vista.

Pokemon set. $1.00. Deseret Industries, Chula Vista.
I've got a little Poke-monster at home, so it's for him to get bored with.
I'll probably throw it in with a Pokemon Master Trainer, Pokemon Monopoly and sell it at Xmas time.

My wife asked me to drop her off to get her nails done. This meant I could visit some thrift stores while waiting. I found this for $1.98. I didn't have time to check it but for $1.98 I was willing to take a chance. When I got home I found all cards (yes, all 378), minis, etc. in great condition and complete.

Three finds to report, starting with the edition shown of Canasta Caliente, which I suspect I purchased solely to show solidarity of spirit with poor Dannysland, who now has to look at Turista Nacional every day. Si!
1.99 and possibly worth it for no other reason than the rotating card tray - which might actually be hellishly annoying in practice, but who can tell?
Oh yeah, Value Village again.

Next up this piece of eBait, which will get put up for sale in about a month or so, along with everyone else's, thus guaranteeing depressed prices and grumpy thrifters. Q.E.D.
I'm not actually that cranky this morning, but I seem to be channeling an inner grump. Might be because I'm still suffering flashbacks to the horrid encounter I had with the Irritant Squad, in the form of a lady with, um, a very large caboose, in white stretch pants, parked in front of the games shelves, with two rugrats running around picking games off the shelf and flinging them at each other. The horror, the horror...
Oh yeah. 3.99 (pricy!) at VV.

But just to show there's always a silver lining, I end my tale with this, a very nice condition purple box (very few dents, which is amazing for the flimsy cardboard) with a complete set inside. These still sell ok, even with the market flooded with reprints, probably thanks to nostalgia or the safety police having nerfed the strength of the catapults in the new version or somthing.
Also 3.99 at VV.

hit a local church thrift store. first glance, nothing. a bunch of big space-consuming roll-and-moves. so i sit down to flip through some records. i look back, and from my new angle... zowie! dune! some minor damage to the box, but everything's there! and it's the sting cover, which makes it different from the one i thrifted during the summer.
i think my head was going to explode (all the more so given what was under it, but i'll get to that in a moment), so i took the games down to the till, and... KABLAM!!! there goes my brain, blown right out the back of my head. "board games are 50 cents."

Last but not least, this. It's the 1960's edition, not the later 1970's redesign. All complete, including the copper aerials! Car boot, £1.00.

KNEEL BEFORE ZOD !!!
100 geek gold and this is all I get? :p

It was a heavy garage sale weekend. With the super nice weather we had there was one on nearly every street. I hit as many as I could. First yard sale was golden! Found a load of about 6 games at this one (left some). First up was this one for .50! I didn't open to check as it felt heavy and rattled readily. I knew I'd buy it for that price regardless of completeness anyway. I was hoping this would flesh out my set from last week with the missing figs.
Sadly, it was missing ALL the base figures! I have ALL the cards for them, most/all runes, markers, chips, and all dice but 1 blue, most/all terrain (sparkly water!) etc.
I did get three expansion figures, a Roman officer, a large snake man, and an Orc on a raptor (not the T-rex from base set). I didn't get the cards to these three, though. Anyone know a good place to download stats? I need to get my needs together and see if the kind folks from last week will work out a trade. Out of two sets, I'd think I'd end up with at least one complete set by now. Heh.

Next in the pile was this one I've been wanting to play. I opened it and it looked like lots of pieces, dice etc, so I didn't count. 0.50. After closer look at home I'm missing one carnage token and the zinc football. I suspect this will be the most commonly missing piece in these, like the ring in LOTR risk. Anyone have a spare?

In my days of thrifting, I've bought a lot of crappy games. They litter the shelves in my garage until I either donate them to Goodwill, or give them to my niece, who is a game fanatic. So when I saw this one, I wavered back and forth. In the end, it being an election year, I figured maybe I could use the game to teach my daughter about the electoral college and the presidential election. The $1.01 price tag finally pushed me over the edge. As a bonus, my version is different than either pictured here at BGG, so maybe I can snap some photos and earn some GG.
