UT - 3 Word Games/1 Quilt Book (Closed unsuccessfully, though with a related trade.)
- Steve Bennett(Verseboy)United States
I am offering a group of 3 word games, plus your choice of either of two popular quilting books written by my wife.
The Word Games
Red Letter is essentially Scrabble on steroids. It’s in very good condition.
Wordsense is in very good condition.
Word Yahtzee is missing the little egg timer. One of the letter die is misprinted. One side is blank and 2 letters overlap on one side. The condition of the game is well worn.
We love word games at our house, but we find ourselves only playing Bali, Scrabble, and Boggle.
The Quilt Books
As for the quilt books, Judy Martin’s Log Cabin Quilt Book retails for $27.95. It’s been out for more than a year, but it remains one of the most popular titles in quilting. As of a few days ago, it was top-selling book in the Patchwork category at Amazon.
Cookies ‘n’ Quilts retails for $9.95 now. It was popular enough to go into a second printing, but we printed too many and just lowered the price from $19.95. The quilt patterns are good, but the cookie recipes are to die for. If you don’t believe me, just ask BGG user crompot. He’ll back me up on this. So even if you don’t know a quilter, this is a book to own. The cookie recipes will change your life.
What I’m Looking to Get
I want a game I’ll play. That means a Euro most likely. My wishlist is a good place to start, but feel free to think beyond that. You can check out my ratings and comments for further enlightenment.
I’m not much into science fiction or fantasy themes, though that doesn’t have to be a deal killer. I don’t like war games. Ameritrash titles usually don’t interest me a lot. If a game plays well with just 2 people, that’s a plus.
I realize word games are the red-headed stepchildren of BGG. I’m not looking to be blown away. I just want a game I’ll play that is worth the cost of my shipping 3 games and a book to you. Surprise me.
This ultimate trade will end no later than Sunday December 7th at 6pm Central.
1. Anyone can participate, but given the level of stuff I’m offering, it probably won’t be worthwhile for anyone outside the U.S..
2. Shipper will be responsible for shipping costs.
3. Forks are permitted. Please list the complete chain you are forming.
4. Please list full details of the condition of your games.
5. Please list your shipping location (zip code or country).
