Games you can judge after one play

This is in response to this geeklist:

I happen to think that the vast majority of games require a few plays before they can be judged, so as someone in the comments for that list pointed out, the games that *can* be judged after one play might be a more interesting list, or at least a shorter one.

You pretty much know if you are going to like this after one play. Either the arbitrariness of the basic mechanic appeals to you or it drives you up the wall. I'm fine with it personally, but have seen many comments by people who find this game hair-pullingly frustrating.

I played this once (with a couple expansions). It took about 2-1/2 hours. After which the victor was decided basically randomly. Yeah, I think I know what I think of that.

I like this game. I liked it after the first time I played it. If someone doesn't like word games, they aren't going to like it, and no amount of repeat plays and introspection is going to change that.

Candyland + dexterity game. Either that is fun to you or it is random gameplay coupled with frustrating bouts of "oh my god I have gigantic fingers!" I like it. Even though it does make me feel like I have gigantic fingers.

I found a single play enough to reach a solid conclusion. Certainly one wouldn't need more than a single session, which would take less time than a single play of most games.

I like the whole Fluxx series, but Monty Python is the theme the game really needs. Most of my serious gamer friends don't like it, and they question whether it's a game at all. I can see their point. It's really a silly social pastime that just happens to suddenly produce a random "winner" for little or no logical reason.

I happen to think grownups can use more silly social pastimes.
