Being a gamer myself I have tried to get my family to enjoy games also.

My daughter turned two in October and we have a few games she likes to play.

Please share games you play with younger children. I am interested to know what other people play.

This is my daughters favorite. She asks for the "Yewwow Mame" due to the box being yellow.

She really likes rolling the dice, and we let her pick which card she wants to put on the board.

I found this game at a thrift store and tried it out on my daughter. She enjoys throwing the dice and we tell her who to give each piece to.

We got this game for Christmas. She likes playing this but doesnot ask for it as much as Dungeon Dice. She likes counting how many aphids she has and telling us which number is on her card.

2 year olds can easily grasp this one, and it teaches colors, fine motor skills, and taking turns.

To make the game a little cooler, we made our own custom version, using elephants instead of monkeys, and substituting the sub-par bag with a home made, dual fabric cloth bag.

My son (2 1/2) has no problems with colors and numbers from 1-3 and enough patience to play and enjoy this.

The classic. We play it with the special rule that if he matches a pair, he can continue, while I'm not allowed to do so. He's not yet in the dominant "memory age" many children have between 3 and 5, where most adults fail miserably in comparison, but he likes it.

This is the childrengame we have playd most in my family
I have a daugther who is 2 1/2 now, and she loves this game.

I think it is a great game because it is easy to understand and it takes about 10 min. to play (she lose interest when a game takes longer than that)
She have learn the colors from playing this game and I think it's fun to see how good she has become to wait for her turn

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter picked this up over Christmas, and now requests it if she happens to see the box on the shelf. She leaves the scoring to Daddy, but can flick the pawns with the best of them. It's been both fun to have her involved in a game in her own right, and useful for teaching her about taking turns.

Next stop -- Republic of Rome!

This was the first game that my 2-year old was able to play properly (ie. by the ruoes as written).

He's learned about taking turns and how a game starts and ends. Doesn't quite understanding "winning" yet, but that's all good, as we're all winners for now!
