This list is for "mini-reviews" of the latest games I've acquired... just so I can let my local gaming buddies decide if they'd like to play 'em sometime.

I've paid special attention to whether they'd be fun/good (or not) for SAH's crowd.

Quick Description:

A card-based game of makin' yer park gooder 'n makin' their parks worser. The more plastic flamingos in yer park, the better manager you are!

General Points:

trailer cards, tenant cards, event cards, and real (miniature) plastic pink flamingos!

easy to explain and understand

might be a bit "slow" w/over four players

no special or innovative game mechanics

designed by a local gal

silly fun, but dunno how much "re-playability" it has

For SAH's Crowd:

There are better games to play, but it might be alright once, just for the silliness factor....

Quick Description:

a co-operative game of saving a Gnomish Soviet Nuke Sub

General Points:

no "bad guy" player (unlike Shadows over Camelot)

easy to explain and understand

probably play in 1 - 1½ hours

probably too much down time if over 6 players

more of a multi-player puzzle than a game

does a good job of building up the tension

lots of fun, but dunno how much "re-playability" it has

For SAH's Crowd:

I'm sure that quite a few of the guys would enjoy it at least a time or two. Be good to play after a brain-burner.

Quick Description:

an "Edward Gorey-ian" game of inflicting tragedies on your family of miscreants

General Points:

the transparent cards are a very cool concept

the cards are rather fragile, and they show wear easily

very easy to explain and play

the game is only "meh"

For SAH's Crowd:

Worth playing once, just cuz the drawings are "cute" and the see-thru cards are so cool. But Guillotine is a much better game if you want morbid.

Quick Description:

get the monkeys back to earth

General Points:

almost a "stock buying railroad" game, really boils down to "buying stock" in whichever tribe is most advanced

simple mechanics, very Eurogame-esque

easy to explain, probably play in 1 - 1½ hours

only takes up to 4 players

For SAH's Crowd:

I think most of the guys would like it fairly well. A good "after-dinner" game.
