Only recently released, but already growing a large fan base. I've already spent enough on this game to make my wife scream, but I can't stop myself. Maybe once the credit card has maxed I'll stop. Then again, there is the kids' college funds.
My son blows every cent of his allowance on booster packs, all to continually thump me when we play. The kid has gotten vicious enough to make me spend some of my Spycraft money on this game so I can tweak my deck and administer a beating back. While very reminiscent of M:tG (which I utterly despise), the game is at least fun and has great artwork.
This has almost put me in the poor house!!! I got into this game about 3 years ago and now have over 15,000 cards!!! I absolutely love this game and think it is by far the best CCG out there. There are so many different strategies that can be used in this game that it always seems fresh. Especially with the Diamond edition environment.
Whether it's dead or not remains a mystery (due to SFR's long silence and rumors of unfilled orders), but there's no denying that the granddaddy of all collectible dice games retains a loyal following. I'm no exception. Currently my collection of dice tops 3K, and I still want more, particularly Treefolk (It's a sickness, like alcoholism but without the bad breath). It's doubtful that further expansions will ever be made, but it won't stop me from buying a good collection that shows up on eBay. Maybe I should take a second job. Pizza delivery maybe?
Dear God. As a lover of all things pirate, hear comes another bottomless pit to empty my wallet into. I've yet to try the game (mainly because every gaming store in my area has been sold out for weeks), but look forward to at least getting the starter and maybe a couple of boosters.
