When not gaming, I enjoy killing some time every once in a while with logic puzzles and the like, and my subscription to Games Magazine has been a great success for both me and my wife.

While I tend to ignore the computer/video game reviews, I do enjoy the capsule board game reviews included.

However, the most unexpected bonus has been the occasional board game - complete with rules, board, pieces and strategy tips.

Some of these have been traditional card games and variations, but the best of all for me have been the completely new AbStrat games . . .

Please post other magazines which publish (or have published) complete board games.

Due to my own personal bias, please stick to non-wargames. I'm sure if this list gets any interest, a grognard will come along and meme this one for the Wargamers out there . . .

The game, from the March 2009 issue of Games Magazine, that inspired the geeklist. Looks like an interesting 2-player AbStrat game . . .

Hmmmm. Wonder if someone can get permission to upload a board scan . . .

There's the excellent German magazine Spielbox.
The geeklist is not recent*, see...
www.boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Spielbox

EDIT:
*) but it also contains expansions besides full games.

Didn't remember which issue this came out in, but BGG has a description, so I'll use that .

"Originally published by Games Workshop in White Dwarf 161"

(I know it has that "wargame" tag on it in the description, but to me there isn't enough meat on the bones to make this a proper wargame. It's fast and fun as hell though.)

this classic french magazine contained a complete game in each issue.

Laurent36 posted all of the games on this blog:

some early Faidutti etc.
(I recommend Jamaica )
