An Evening of Modern Board Gaming
- Jeremy(Teravos)United States
So earlier in the week Heather said [out of the blue], "We've been busy these last few weekends. What do you think of having a 'game-night' this weekend?"Recommend
Let's just say there's a reason I'm going to marry this girl!
So the big day comes, and her friend calls saying, "Me and my beau are in the area. Would you two want to meet up tonight for dinner and drinks?"
[Around here I expect 'game-night' to be pushed back yet another night]
To my surprise, Heather replies "Tonight I promised Jeremy a 'game-night'. Would you and Ian be up for meeting for dinner, than playing one of Jeremy's games with us?"
"Sure, let's do it!"
So now I've got to pick the perfect game for the evening. The crowd: Heather, Beckah, and Ian.
Heather's been subjected to almost all my games, and she's a big fan of all that don't require "direct-conflict". Beckah's played Stone Age with us a few weeks ago, and she really enjoyed it. From dinner, I gathered that Ian hadn't played a board game since Monopoly. He sounded really excited to try out what the hobby had to offer.
Given the crowd, what game would you choose?
