Place: 1st
Votes: 96
Nomination: Founding Fathers

Yet another top position for this game. Placing 5th overall, this one wasn't even on my radar screen until it rocketed to the top of the nominations voting, actually garnering more votes in nominations than it did in final voting. I suspect the lack of an image in the poll played a large role in this.

I believe this is one of the few I will actually preorder.

This game not only made the cut, but dominated several categories:
- Most nominations votes
- 5th Overall
- 1st in the Historical category
- 1st here in the Political category

Place: 3rd
Votes: 71
Nomination: The Republic of Rome

Despite its 39th overall place, Republic of Rome has made a strong showing in the subcategories, placing 2nd in the historical category and a very solid 3rd here in the political category.

Preorders actually arrived during the nominations/voting process (including mine) and I can say this is a fantastic reprint of the Avalon Hill classic.

Although it had numerous delays, Valley Games did a fantastic job with the reprint.
