I'm sure gamers out there - perhaps frequently - are going bananas over games they can't fit inside the box once unpacked and played (I know I do angry. In particular, 1960: The Making of The President (a personal favorite) has become my sworn enemy in this regard!ninja. Too many darn cubes seems to be the source of the problem...

But hey my Mayfair T&E is packed with wood and that damned thing closes like a Swedish bank at 3 pm.

So geeks, what games are a menace to get back in the box for you? Solutions? Anecdotes? cool

well... if you put sleeves to the cards (and it is absolutely necessary because they tear easily) or you are willing to print the game... the box won't close any more.

The player's boards are so thick that the box can hardly be closed. But if you want to you can remove the inlay. This helps a little.

It takes a illustrated guide how to put everything in just so

I just made tuck boxes and ditched the insert.

The new edition needs an accurate plan to put everything back.
But it is possible and if you find the right way, a few space remains on top of the box...

Suddenly a shot rang out! A door slammed. The maid screamed. Suddenly a pirate ship appeared on the horizon! While millions of people were starving, the king lived in luxury. Meanwhile, on a small farm in Kansas, a boy was growing up.

If you're one of those people who puts their punched-out sprues underneath the insert [unashamedly!] for safe-keeping, then there is no way to pack this game back up without the box sticking up some.

This picture doesn't tell the full story, 'cause it doesn't even show the bag of orange-backed tiles [some ~100 of them] that make up the bulk of the game! Even without the sprue problem, it still takes awhile!

Colosseum's kid sister. That picture is only half the story, because you also have all of this 3d goodness to fit in:

This is yet another game that doesn't fit well if you keep the sprues, and is a task to pack away even if you don't!
