This is a GeekList with multiple unconnected entries.

It's been a while since I've done a GeekList, and since I'm not much in the mood to do the things I really need to do, and not of a mind to connect the dots, this is what I've come up with.

Please feel free to add your own musings, session notes, funny stories, and whatever else pops into your head to this list for a Sunday afternoon.

Many many months ago while bored I came up with this list of games. The relationship should be easy to see. How many on the other side can you come up with?

Brass, Ra, Zertz, Tzaar, RAF, Ave Ceasar, Verrater, Set, Streetcar, Bazaar, Star Wars CCG, Trax, and Car Wars.

I had to retrieve the I.D. number to this game today and noticed that the first four digits were 1809. Wow, I thought. I wonder what other I.D. number coincidences like this there are?

I think it was from the film, Six Degrees of Separations that Donald Sutherland's character (Paul) said he could speak to the President within 3 phone calls. So now I'm wondering who's the most influential on BGG? How many phone calls would it take to speak to your president? (i.e., you place a call to someone, that person places a call, etc. until the president is reached and in turn calls you).

Please don't put me on any watch lists for asking this question.

So while playing Tichu on Friday, the conversation comes around to stupid movies and stupid characters. Naturally, Return of the Jedi comes up and Ewoks are targeted. Ben brings up that it has "the most moving and gravitas filled scene in all of moviedom." and breaks into tears (okay, I'm taking several liberties here, including a temporal one, a white lie and slight embellishment).

So I must ask, other than the obvious Bambi, what other family-movies-turned-into-games, feature a sad death scene? I must know so I can get copies, play them with Ben and watch him bawl like a baby.

So on the same Friday as the Ewok incident, Ben makes his first Grand Tichu. He was very happy as should he be. But this incident reminds me of a previous game in which my partner called a Grand Tichu. The strongest cards I had in my hands prior to the pass were 2 aces and the Maj Jong. I passed him an ace and he wound up making his call. But despite this, I felt I should have passed the Maj Jong instead of an ace.

Any thoughts on this?

Game titles that make you think of other games.

Doolittle & Waite = Kingsburg
(Runner up goes to a particular session of Agricola.)
