I came across Landships! Tactical Weapons Innovations 1914-1918 from the Random Game List. This game fascinates me as I imagine myself piloting one of these in the battlefield of WWI.

Here is a list of games that put you in the pilot seat of an armored vehicle in battlefield.

Now, you command your counters in this game, you do not really take a seat in A tank itself, BUT some ten (fifteen?) years ago, I GMed and played in so called team tank rumbles in which each player actually commanded ONE tank and was allowed to communicate with the other players on his side only via "radio" (i.e. you were allowed to send a limited set of mail with limited information to the other players). Only the GM had the perfect overview of the gameboard - players got limited infortmation what they had seen and also some information from their team mates, of course you were not allowed to "radio" hex numbers but had to refer to land marks and general direction remarks - it really was a blast!
