Stepless, stageless, analog - Games with continuous "signals"
Most of the games in the database contain a "grid" or "digital system". Imagine a Pachisi pawn and dice. Each step is a step. Not more, not less. All possibilities of the dice to land upon the table are reduced to six. And the pqwn can only move in these steps. No shuffling in millimeters or less, right? Grids of all kinds make a game "easier" in a logical, measurable way.
But in the "real world" the steps are so small, we cannot see them. We only see the outcome, which are again small in many cases.
Of course, ALL games need measurable results, so the final outcome has to be to get "1 point". There has to a STEP somewhere. But the way to this is not necessarily one of a small number of steps or spaces or stages, but can be - analog.
Er ... you know, what I mean? No? Let`s get some examples and please add more of them. If you think of more of the same category - rather add a comment. If you find a whole different "system" - add a new entry.
