The games below are either great games or had/have the potential to be. But in my opinion they all have a flaw that either ruins the game for me or a the very least I find annoying.

This was my first real game purchase. It has/had alot of potential. The game makers in my opinion cut off life support on this too soon. Wizards of the Coast already has a full plate with ccg's like Magic, Harry Potter, Middle Earth (Great Dalmuti & Guillotine as well). So they gave up on this. You can imagine the Settler people actively fixing it (downtime between turns problem) & supporting it.

I only played once, this is a very good game. One really nice aspect is the Mother Ship, with room for all the pieces (Cannons, Boosters, Freight Rings & Fame Rings). I saw how other people had theirs break & the company didn't really do much. My friend who bought the game had one start to break & he didn't really get any help from Mayfair either. He doesn't let anyone use the ships except to roll the colors. For the price tag this is a shame. In every other way Mayfair is very helpful (you can pay parts to many of their games online.

I hate this game, but I can honestly say that if you like Abstract Games it is very good (I hate Abstract Games). However, I bought this game before I discovered Boardgamegeek. The description of the game from the maker makes it seem as if it's a really exciting game. Same people also, made Princes of Florence, which we love (even though it is a little abstract as well).

My son & I love this game (no one else will try it). Big problem is the way this game is being sold. To get all 200 + pieces you have to buy the whole game six times, which would be fine with me. The problem is you can't tell what you're buying, the boxes aren't labeled A, B, C, D, E & F. You have to hope for the best or hopefully the store manager will open a game for you to check. A minor point as well, why did they feel compelled to make the box so big?

I got this for my son, I have one quibble. The cardboard cutouts don't stay in the pieces well. I already lost 3 or 4 pieces because of this. Also, it seems that you can't buy a replacement sheet of pieces either.

It is not Winning Moves fault, but... Please use the revised rules at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/viewfile.php3?fileid=862 and you'll get a better game. IMHO.

I first would like to say this is a great game and I gave it a 10 already. There are a couple of small flaws I think. There are only 22 houses and 2 are needed for scoring tracks. This leaves 20 to make connections. The pmnt chart only lists payout for 20. Yet the city track has 21. On the German side, the role order track only has 5. Also, I see that on article page on the geek there is a discussion about plant 29, how it is a mistake (it should energize one extra city than it shows), but maybe Friedmann disagrees about that.
