There can be quite a lot of negative feedback on ebay on this site, but the truth is that most of us still use ebay. I quite regularly buy and sell games on ebay.

I thought I would see what the general opinion was on selling games on ebay.

So what is the last game you sold on ebay? How much did you get for it? Do you consider it was underpriced? Was it about the right price? Or do you think you got more than it was worth?

Lately most of my sales on ebay have been of old gaming magazines. These include The General, Moves, Fire & Movement and others. I did find while sorting out the old magazines that I had some copies of Strategy & Tactics and Ares complete with games. So I have been selling them as well.

The copy of Barbarian Kings I sold was in Ares number 3, not the boxed version pictured.

I sold it for £6.50 (By coincidence the same price I bought my last game for on ebay). I was a little disappointed I thought it would go for a bit more than that. The fact that I had had it from new and it was still unpunched though, meant there really was not much chance that I was ever going to play it. So it was fine.

Not sure if this actually was the last game I sold on eBay, but it was among the last bunch, so...

I've only sold on eBay a couple times. The first time was an Xbox video game that I won from a radio station. I didn't have an Xbox, so I sold it for $50. The second was this game. I found it last October for $3.99 at Goodwill. It was unpunched. I didn't know how valuable it was when I picked it up. I brought it home and looked it up here. When I learned how much it was worth, I put it on eBay. The week before Halloween, a soldier stationed overseas bought it for $175. That helped pay for gas and groceries that month. I'll probably keep it if I find another copy again.

Well, it depends on if selling pieces of a game (Magic the Gathering) count.

I've been selling of a friend's Magic cards for the past couple of months (right now, in fact, I'm selling her factory sealed Beta Starter Deck which has almost hit the $1000 mark with almost a week left to go).

But the last boxed games I sold were just before I started selling the magic cards. I sold a batch and the most notable game in that group was probably Big Boss, which sold for only $332.75.

And a note about that. I didn't ask for, but received five "free" insertion fee auctions. Turns out, those "freebies" have higher ending fees on the back end.

Brand new in shrink-wrap, sold for $47 a few weeks ago. I hear there is now a reprint in the near future?

I had this from new and was unpunched - I think I got about £25 for it.

The rules were dreadful,(and I've coped with far more complex wargames) whoever wrote the line of sight rules needing beating to within one inch of their life.

I love this game but the problem was after owning it for years I've managed only a handful of plays. My wargaming tastes in recent years have been drifting away from the classic tactical hex and counter wargames and more towards the more strategic level. Games like Here I Stand, Washington's War and Unhappy King Charles are more my taste now. Thus I figured that rather than stare at it on my shelf I could sell it and buy something that actually had a chance to hit the table. I sold it for $75 and have a few games on my radar that I will likely use that money for in the next few months.
