I'm really on the fence about this one. I've played it once (nearly by the rules) and it seemed very good. However two people at the club already have this game, yet it's never played. Therefore I could be the third person at the club with a copy of this game and it may still remain unplayed. And too be honest I already have far too many games that don't get played.
Like in Toy Story, toys are meant to be played not collected, and that goes for games as well
This one is scheduled for autumn and I'm eager to get it. The battle around Sevastopol is an intense one. The whole series, despite the size, is very playable and tense. It takes some time to get used to the fact that the Germans have to attack fast and hard and at the same time being OOS.
This is the end of the year 1941 (Sevastopol scenarios go until mid- 1942 when the fortress fell) and I'm really interested to see how they continue (and how) the series until 1945. Really awaiting the Stalingrad pack and the final installment Caucasus (or Army Group A as it was also named). There were also rumors about Kharkov but AFAIK it is included in Barbarossa: Kiev to Rostov, 1941.
Announced as "late 2010". Let's hope for it. A monster solitaire game. I liked its predecessor Silent War very much and it was my first "incident" with the excellent Compass support (my map was damaged and they couldn't sent me a new one but took note and when the reprint was made I received 3 !! new maps - enough for a lifetime ).
If you like sub - warfare get this one. A wonderful solitaire - game.
Really eager to see how the Germans play - given the size of the game I'm sure it will even take more of my time playing it.
I've been considering the idea of including an OCS game in my colection after really enjoying SCS. The availability and the price make this game a might buy, although the fact that it won't get played at all, is really making it a tough call.
