Best Microbadge of the Month contest and monthly microbadge statistics (June 2010)
AlgarveI'm that weirdo that keeps track of how many badges Kaffedrake has sold prior to yesterday
Welcome to the Best Microbadge of the Month contest!
Please take a minute to look them the nominated badges for this month's award and vote for the one you like best, based on the microbadge's image and/or mouseover.
The contest's winner will be awarded the prestigious , and will get any tips given to this geeklist. Additionally, I will add 8 to the tipped amount. The winner will also be in the running for Best Microbadge of the Year 2010 (2nd and 3rd places might also be in the running for that contest; final rules are still not complete). As there are two contests this month, the tips will be divided by the two winners.
The poll will run for the full extent of the month and the winner announced in next month's contest.
The microbadges in the running for best microbadge of the month are just a subset of the many (great) badges that were submitted last month. Nominations were made and the most nominated badges now have the chance to become the best microbadge design of the month. If you would like to participate in the nomination process, please subscribe to New Microbadges Available for Purchase (and other Microbadge Events) Subscription Thread.
Please note that there are two awards in contention - February and June, so please vote on both polls! Thanks
We are retroactively doing the contests for January (last month), February (this month) and March (with July's contest).
Contest fine print
If a tie exists at the end of the voting period for any of the top 3 positions, the next monthly geeklist will feature a small poll to decide the winner/podium (to run for a week).
Any situations that are not identified will be dealt with by the Microbadge of the Month committee (myself, garion and wildthayne). The committee's word is final, but we're all quite friendly and won't bite your hand off. At least, not unless provoked.
The two best-selling categories of the year only include data from the 25th of January onwards, as that was the point that I started collecting microbadge data. Some of the badges used to represent the designers are probably not the best of choices, so I'll appreciate suggestions. Naturally, if you find any mistakes, please let me know, and I'll correct it asap.
