I started Access Games in January of this year (2010) as a label for self publishing my finished game designs as free print and play games. We now have four games available!

To celebrate we're holding a worldwide game giveaway! For each of our games we'll be giving away:

Grand Prize: One complete copy of the game, including (where applicable) Artscow printed cards, everything needed to play, and a professionally hand made box.

Runner Up: For each of five runners-up, we'll give away miscellaneous accessories needed for each game, detailed in the descriptions below.

To enter, simply thumb the geeklist for an automatic entry in each game being given away below. Thumb any game entry for an additional entry for that game. Each geekgold you tip to a game entry will get you an additional entry for that game. Every five geekgold tipped will earn you a bonus entry. You may thumb or tip any or all games below.

The contest will end at midnight EDT on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Winners will be announced on August 2 (my birthday!). I will ship all prizes worldwide, so everyone can enter.

Each entrant may only win one prize per game, though the same entrant may be selected to win a prize for multiple games.

If you can't wait for the contest to end before trying out any of the games, I'll include links under each entry including rules, components, and links to buy decks at Artscow.

Our first release, this is a co-design that I worked on with my brother. I like that you have to gauge the endgame to know if it's better to enter cheaper pieces of the crime faster or higher cost ones in case the game ends when the deck runs out.

Since its release, The Game of Great Detectives has been translated into both French and Spanish (many thanks to Roland Nicolas and Aitor Vilchez).

Grand Prize: One entrant will win a full copy of the game including 108 Artscow printed game cards, 4 Artscow printed detective cards, rules sheet, and full telescoping box.

Runner Up: Five runners-up will win a packet of four Artscow printed detective cards.

NOTE: The Artscow decks only comes with the 108 game cards and not the four detective cards (you can print your own with the link above). Currently the only way to get a set of Artscow printed detective cards is through this giveaway. I may make them available later if there is enough demand.

Our second game is proving very popular with a wide variety of gamers. It features bluffing and paranoia, but what else would you expect from a game about cats.

Grand Prize: One entrant will win a full copy of the game including 108 Artscow printed game cards, six card sleeves, and a full telescoping box.

Runner Up: Five runners-up will receive a pack of 6 card sleeves in Good Cat Bad Cat yellow featuring thumb notches cut out of the top to facilitate taking cards out.

Our first non-card game. This one is a tactical battle game set in 1600's era Japan and featuring the decisive battle of Sekigahara, which would usher in the Edo period of Japan's history.

Grand Prize: One entrant will win a full copy of the game including stand up playing pieces in black plastic stands, four dice, two valor point tracking pieces, and a full telescoping box.

Runner Up: Five runners-up will receive a pack of plastic stands, dice and tracking pieces needed to create your own copy of the game.
