Some songs reminds me of some games. Some because I used to play with this music as ambience, others I don't know.
And you? Do you associate music to games (wether intentionally or not)?

I often use the Alien Vs Predator video game soundtrack. It keeps player in the ambience of the game, adding a little welcome stress.

Das Ich - Lava
I have played most of my recent games of ASL-SK with the new Das Ich. Now, songs of this albums come to mind each time I grab the box.

Finntroll and Rammstein
I play this with a group of friends whose preferred group are those two. So we use to play with those music as background...

La Reine Margot OST. The music is excellent as a background theme (even if the movie takes places some 200 years later than the game action).
The REALLY good thing is: in one of the tracks you hear the dialogues in the wedding scene between Margot and Henri of Navarre, INCLUDING the part where the king slams down Margot's head on to the stand. Every time we married off someone in the game, we would play that track (and, consequently, we played it over and over).

U2: WAR album. Listened to it over and over while playing this game. Now I can't listen to the album without thinking of the game...
And yes - it dates me

Jethro Tull's Aqualung.
We must've been listening to the album in my apartment in 1973 while playing the game. Somehow the hard rock rhythms seemed to enhance the simulated tactical armored combat experience (STACE).

I've played PC Doom on my computer with the sound turned down and the End Title music to the movie "Bladerunner" turned up.
It would work with the board game too.

I have a mixed tape of songs about insanity that I would play with any Lovecraft related games, if I had any Lovecraft related games.
"They're coming to take me away, ha ha They're coming to take me away, he he To the funny farm Where life is beautiful all the time"
Also, Metalica has that one album with Call of Kthulu (sic) and Thing That Should Not Be
"Not dead which eternal lie Stranger eons, death may die ... Drain you of your sanity Face the thing that should not be!"

We can't play Cosmic Encounter without alien-feeling music and Kraftwerk's 'Radioactivity' is perfect. It's the music playing in that otherworldly bar where alien spieces go to see and be seen. Just put it on auto-repeat and let your alien power loose!
If Radioactivity isn't available anything by Patrick O'Hearn provides just the right vibe too.

Funker Vogt: Survivor
Don't know why..maybe it's a mnemonic thing with Funkenschlag/Funker Vogt. Great album, although Final Thrill has some...unsettling lyrics.
