This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48522

A good week for the ghouls. Not one, not three, not five but rather six Scrabbles found and offered to the Ghouls Bwwwhhaaahahahaaaa! Most complete a few missing a letter here or there (I have plenty of extras) Bought for $1.75 up to $3.99 at various locations through the Valley of the Sun!!
I also found this game at St Vincents in Phoenix for $1.00 The cards are still sealed. I have one large pack of cards and one small pack. Does anyone know if this would be correct or if I am missing a small pack? Unfortunately the instructions just don't say.
A random box that contained a booster box of Wyvern cards (although twelve of the packs had been opened), some random sports cards, about 80-100 Magic cards from Fourth Edition (plus Revised lands), two Eagles: Waterloo starter decks, some loose Wyvern cards, a really ratty pack of penny sleeves from the mid-90's, and a couple other loose ends.
A lot of the stuff was really dirty (I had to pitch a number of the Magic cards and sports cards), and there's really not much here worth selling (a Land Tax that may or may not be clean enough to sell), but it was fun to dig through.
A complete copy of this one to replace my parts copy. It is in great shape and two of the sets of pawns weren't even opened. If you need parts, let me know as I have one (its missing a few pieces but I would be happy to check to see if I have what you need). $2.99 at GW in Surprise.
Another deluxe edition of this game similiar to the pictured one. The tiles were struen all other the shelves, but I was able to find everyone. At $5.99 (at Savers in Peoria) they should have paid me. Its in great condition though.
Found this one. Two blown corners but it appears to be complete. Does anyone have any idea how many counters you should have as mine are all punched? I know it was missing its dice (but thats not a problem as I have plenty). $3.99 at Savers in Phoenix.
A decent-sized lot of the collectible throwing chip game. Contained in this lot:
Centaurs vs. Goblins starter set (sealed) The Elves half of the Elves vs. Undead starter set Undead preconstructed deck (from first expansion) Merfolk preconstructed deck (from first expansion) Pirate preconstructed deck (pictured) 27 base boosters (2 chips each) 5 Exp.1 boosters 5 Exp.2 boosters About 20 loose chips a Clout Fantasy carrying case for ~50 chips two chip-holding keychains enough Ultra-Pro pages to hold twice this many chips
I dunno if there's much game here, but it looks cool, at least.
Our course I can't leave one of these behind especially since it had the "RING". It in great shape and I found it at St Vincents in Phoenix. I really hemed and hawed about this one as it was marked at $8.99 (ouch). I counted the cards and they all were there, so I decided that I would. Then she rang it up for $4.50 what? The sign next to the counter said the store was half off. Woo Hoo!
It was taped up and I know I was taking a chance not knowing the condition or the completeness of the game. But hey! It's Fireball Island!, I've got to take the chance.
Box: Pretty good shape! Board: Excellent condition, looks new! Cards: Poor to Good (some are bent and beat, some look good) Rules: Fair, a little tattered, but otherwise nice Bridges: missing one part Fireballs: missing four fireballs Explorer Pawns: missing three pawns
PARTS WANTED: If anyone has stray parts they are willing to "donate", It would be greatly appreaciated!
