New list at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/61486/lock-n-load-p500...

The following is a list of the various games Lock n' Load Publishing has on its P500 pre-order list. As new games are announced and have BGG pages I will try to add them to this list. If I have missed anything, please add it. New games are towards the top, reprints are the last few.

Each game listed has a link to it's specific LnL game page. If you want to poke around the LnL main page here's the link:

http://www.locknloadgame.com/default.asp

LnLP has been posting lots of updates recently at...
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lock-n-Load-Publishing/1270987...

There have been a couple of developments since last month. I think Nations at War: White Star Rising is done [or nearly done] with preorder shipping at this point, but I could be wrong... at least I have my copy. Both LOF issue 8 and World at War: The Untold Stories are currently at the printers, I have not heard an ETA for them let. Previously, Mark has suggested that Lock 'n Load: Heroes of the Gap and Lock 'n Load: Forgotten Heroes – Vietnam will be next in the queue, but that may be subject to change. The second NaW game, Desert Heat, has been added to the P500 list, I will add it to this list once the page is approved.

Update 11/4/2010: In several places, Mark has indicated that the last TUS components should be arriving on 11/5 or 11/8. Presumably shipping will start a day or two after that. I have yet to hear anything about the next items to go to the printers charging.

Update 11/6/2010: According to LnLP, "Update on the World at War Untold Stories components (we already have the boxes)... they will arrive November 9th. We will begin shipping on November 12th (post office is closed on Veteran's Day)." Also, a rules preview can be found on the LnLP website.

Update 11/9/2010: Various places.. "4:19 EST...TUS is in the house. Oder [sic] now to get the P500 price. Building today/tomorrow. Shrinkwrapping Thursday, begin shipping Friday."

Update 11/15/2010: TUS shipping is underway. LOF8 pdf version currently available, print version expected end of November/early December.

There are two Steam and Steel AARs online...

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/567081/aar-2

There is a good AAR of a smaller Nuklear Winter '68 scenario, that does a great job of showing how this game from the P500 list plays. Link is http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/536214/rangers-lead-the-...

A preview of the rules for Space Infantry is available at http://www.locknloadgame.com/Space%20Infantry/si_rules.pdf

A preview of one of the factions from NW'68 can be found at... http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/540527/the-black-hand

For WaW fans, Mark has posted a preview of the TUS counters at
http://talk.consimworld.com/WebX?14@591.qK6PbtVjwtG.43@.1dd2...

As always, if there any sorts of information people would like to see included in this list, let me know. I am not promising anything on the scope of the MMP P500 playlists which are/were detailed on a scope I cannot hope to match, but if there are things I could reasonably easily add I would be glad to.

dding the Canadians, Belgians, Dutch, East Germans, and Poles to the WaW universe. 500+ counters. What else is there to say.

From the website... "World at War: The Untold Stories recounts the struggle of Warsaw Pact and NATO allies previously not covered in World at War modules. Included are the battles of the Canadians, East Germans, Poles, Dutch and Belgians as each fought desperately to survive in the opening days of the war that ended all wars.

Command new forces and equipment, such as the Belgian and Canadian Leopard I tanks, Lynx armored personnel carriers, East German BTR-152s, Polish T-72s, and Dutch Centurions.

Battle over a plethora of new terrain. The Untold Stories contains three 11" x 17" geomorphic, mounted maps that not only give variety to the game’s scenarios, but can be used by gamers everywhere to create their own World at War stories.

Twelve, spanking new scenarios. Canadians versus Poles, East Germans versus Danes, Belgians versus Russians. It’s a veritable smorgasbord of war. Fight with the Canadian 31 Brigade Group as they valiantly battle Soviet T-80s with their Leopard I tanks, or command East German T-72s as they fight their West German bretheren."

http://www.locknloadgame.com/Section_Cat_Content_Detail.asp?...

Currently in final proofing before going to the printers..

Note... the Danes did not make it into the final version of TUS.

The LnL series enters WWIII at a location known to all WaW fans.

From the website... "Heroes of the Gap, is a complete Lock ‘n Load module (you need nothing else to play), which brings the Lock ‘n Load system to the environs of Eisenbach, Germany on the first day of World War III. No, this is NOT a World at War series game, but it does take place in the universe created by World at War. This is pure, impulse-driven, tanks vs. tank, squad vs. squad, leader vs. leader, RPD vs. M60, Lock ‘n Load system gaming.

You’ll command a bucket of 1985-era weaponry on a Marc von Martial-drawn, mounted 22” x 34” historical map of Eisenbach and its immediate surroundings, including Bergengipfel and Klappebruck. Defend West Germany with Abrams tanks, ITOW anti-tank vehicles, Cobra attack helicopters, squads of American soldiers, leaders, snipers, heroes, M60 machine guns, Dragon guided missiles, A-10 attack aircraft, and much more. All rendered with the precision we have all come to expect from David Julien.

Or, if you chose attack the capitalists with T-80, T-72, T-64, and T-55 tanks (okay, you won’t get far with the T-55s, but we had to include them), Hind helicopters, Soviet infantry, paratroopers, BMPs, and all their accoutrements of war… RPGs, RPKs, RPDs, you are free to do so.

Included are rules for anti—tank guided missiles (ATGM), which are easily depleted, advanced armor, advanced sites (thermal and night), fixed wing air support, and much more. Yet despite the new rules we believe we have held true to our company’s mantra of “more game, less guff.”

Fight nine, Mark H. Walker-designed scenarios that recount the first day of the war, from the first probes by Soviet infantry to the ultimate, desperate clash for the Eisenbach Bridge. This is the game for those of you who have wanted to get down on the streets, in the buildings, on the deck of the tanks, and fight the battles of Red Army, Red Storm Rising, Team Yankee, or even World at War: Eisenbach Gap. "

Possibly going to the printers this month, not sure how much playtesting is needed for this one.

From the website... "...an operational simulation of the invasion of Poland by German, Slovakian and Soviet forces in September-October 1939. The campaign was a brief, bloody, and confusing affair fought between two armies which were considered equals by many in the world."

The designer of the game had this to say in a different thread...

[q="ltmurnau"]Matthew,

Only a few more pre-orders and the game will come out!
Otherwise it won't, and then no one can have it.

As for previews and information, your best bet here on BGG is to go to the game's listing, where I answer questions on the game's subsystems in the fora:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/405866/so-how-does-that-...

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/414217/summer-lightning-...

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/481263/i-want-more-info-...-

There's also a discussion area on Consimworld:

http://talk.consimworld.com/WebX?13@158.1zKwaXBVGt3.8@.1dd39...

Failing all of the above, you could just ask me questions directly (I am the designer).

Hope you will find this helpful,

From the website... "New graphics, errata incorperated, new variants! A counter sample for Britain Stands AloneBritain Stands Alone 2nd Edition simulates one of the greatest "what ifs" of all of history, the German invasion of Great Britain. Historically, the RAF won the Battle, and Adolf Hitler called off the invasion, sending his forces east in a fateful decision to attack the Soviet Union in 1941. In Britain Stands Alone, players are under no compulsion to repeat this, and instead the decisive campaign of World War II will take place on the shores of the United Kingdom.

Since the map covers all of England, and not just the historically-planned invasion beaches around Dover, the players have enormous freedom to explore other possibilities. Would East Anglia be a better landing site than Kent? Or the West Country? Maybe the Germans would want to make a direct attempt to seize the ports of Southampton and Portsmouth? All of these possibilities, and many more, are within the scope of Britain Stands Alone.

In addition, Britain Stands Alone 2nd Edition comes with a wealth of further variants. The Germans might have enhanced naval forces, such as the famed battleship Bismarck joining the kriegsmarine a year early, or the Germans might have lost fewer torpedo boats and destroyers in the previous campaign for Norway. Maybe instead of using nothing but jerry-rigged river and canal boats for landing craft, Germany manages to develop purpose-built boats similar to the LCT's employed by the Allies in World War II. "

From the website... "We are excited to announce that Nuklear Winter ’68 is on P500. The former German territory, transformed into a wasteland by the war-ending nuclear holocaust of 1946, is the setting for this three-way battle for supremacy. Fight as the resurgent Drittes Reich with their powerful E-100 tanks and reworked Stukas. Assume command of NATO, with Patton M60s and Russian T-62s, or lead the mysterious Black Hand, mutant warriors who are masters of beast and machine alike."

I have been playtesting this one a bit, and it is a lot of fun to play... with a really interesting tactical system plus a wicked chaos/random event table.

From the website... "Space Infantry is an exiting new solitaire game of squad-level combat in the future. In Space Infantry you will be asked to lead an elite team of soldiers and undertake a series of missions that can be played individually or as a campaign. An innovative system makes possible a quick resolution of the different tasks (exploration, combat) while keeping the game tense and not predictable. Six different enemies, seven missions and a modular system to dynamically generate new encounters assure many hours of enjoyment.

The module structure of the game will make possible to add new features easily to Space Infantry (missions, units, enemies, equipment): those additional components will add new options to the existing missions, increasing the lifetime of the game.

Game Includes:

* Seven mounted mission maps.
* 12 mounted tiles to create random missions.
* Approximately 80, die-cut-counters.
* 17 character cards.
* 6 large enemy data cards.
* Rules booklet.
* Boxed. "

There have been several reviews of this one for people who are potentially interested in this game. Also, a sample of the rules have been posted [warning, large file] at http://www.locknloadgame.com/Section_Cat_Content_Detail.asp?...

From the website... "The Soviets have broken through the NATO line in West Germany, and the West German, British, and Americans are in full retreat. They approach the French border, hoping for aid, praying for sanctuary, but the AMX-30 tanks on the far side of the border fire, their shells ripping into the approaching NATO troops. Thus starts another chapter in the World at War series.

Paris is Burning brings the French into the flaming battlefields of Europe. Zealots, patriots, and determined to defend their homeland, the French battle any army that crosses into France. Paris is Burning ships with two 11" x 17" geomorphic maps, 176 eye-popping counters, player’s aids, and module rules, all tucked neatly into an attractive box. Paris is Burning is an expansion for World at War: Blood and Bridges. "

This is a complete, Lock ‘n Load module. Lead Israeli Centurions, Super Shermans, and infantry as you fight against the Syrian’s troops, and the Soviet-made T-62 and T-55 tanks. Eight scenarios cover everything from small infantry skirmishes to some of the largest tank battles yet depicted in the Lock ‘n Load system."

From the LnLP website... "Steam punk, or at least a derivitive thereof, comes to Lock 'n Load Publishing! In 1914, after smashing a Russian offensive in the East, Imperial Germany unleashes its Schlieffen Plan on an unsuspecting France. Led by its armored U-Wagen strike force, the German army literally runs over the French and nearly reaches Paris before the Land Dreadnoughts of the BEF first hold and then drive back the enemy thrusts. By the end of 1916, the Americans have entered the war and their own fast and heavily armed mechanized forces are poised to enter the fray.

Huge, (over 100 feet long and crewed by over three dozen men) steam powered armored behemoths crawl across the devastated landscape and drive fear into their enemies’ hearts. From the might of the German U-Wagen to the overwhelming firepower of the British Land Dreadnoughts and the maneuverability of the United States Armored Conestogas, we see a war fought without mercy.

Steam and Steel is an easy to learn and play 2-player, steam-punk influenced, tactical-level game set in an alternate WWI, where we see that a breakthrough in steam engine technology has brought about a revolution in war. Influenced heavily by H.G. Well's The Land Ironclads, our Steam and Steel depicts armored units and infantry in the field fighting the massive land battleships with the assistance of mechanized carriers and an array of support weapons. An innovative reaction phase brings a degree of uncertainty to each engagement.

It is now 1917 and you are in command of a small striking force of infantry and armored vehicles charged with prosecuting the war and hastening final victory. Move out!"

From the LnLP website... "It's the summer of 1943 and Allied forces fight the Axis armies over the burning sands of North Africa. It’s a fluid struggle pitting tanks on tanks, and now you can refight these battles using the popular Nations at War system. Designed by Ralph Ferrari, here you’ll find everything you're looking for in a platoon-level game -armor, artillery, infantry that serves as more than cannon fodder, command and control, air support, and desperate close assaults that leave the victor in possession of the ground and the defeated in headlong retreat, all in an easy to learn, challenging to master, game system.

Desert Heat, which focuses on the fighting between the Americans, their British allies, Germans, Italians, and French, includes three counter sheets replete with the vehicles, men, and weapons of the armies that fought in North Africa in 1941-43. There are 16 scenarios played out on four 11” x 17” geomorphic maps with .75” and .625” counters."

The initial print run rapidly sold out and it is now back on P500.

From the website... "Each counter represents one survivor or one zombie. You choose your star, your "mini-me" if you will, and arm him or her with one of four weapon types. But you’re not alone as you then recruit a few other survivors to form your group.

Then it’s off to explore a beautifully detailed map representing deserted cities, suburbs, and rural areas. But are they really deserted? Not if you count the zombies, the seemingly endless hordes of zombies. But soon you realize that the zombies may be the least of your worries as you run into other survivors. Are they friendly or hostile? Well, the game mechanics determine that. With luck you can recruit them to use in future games. But sometimes it spins out of control

Which leads us to combat. There’s two ways to have combat in ATZ. Trust me on this; shooting is what you want to do. Yes, when facing one zombie it’s easy to handle him in hand-to-hand combat but get them in bunches and that’s when they are really dangerous. Better to shoot them from afar. Better All Things Zombie City Mapto shoot survivors too.

Where and when you explore determines how many zombies and survivors you’ll meet. Stick to the rural areas in the daytime and your chances of running into zombies are slim. Prowl around at night in the cities and you may have more zombies than you can handle. Why go there then? Because that’s where you can find the most stuff. Better weapons, medical supplies, even the cure to the virus. But hey, it’s up to you.

ATZ is built around the Reaction System. Simply put, when something happens it causes you to react immediately. This reaction causes the enemy to immediately react. The reactions go back and forth until it is resolved. For example, one member of your group steps around a corner and comes into sight of a hostile survivor. This triggers a reaction test to see what the hostile survivor does. The hostile survivor scores high on the In Sight Test and fires back, but he misses. This causes your group member to take a Received Fire Test and he returns fire but misses as well. The hostile survivor now takes a Received Fire Test and ducks back out of sight, breaking the reaction chain.

The Reaction System is only one piece of the game mechanics that allow the game to be played either solo, on the same side with your friends, or head to head. But whatever you choose to do the Zombies are handled by the game mechanics so it’s always survivors versus zombies.

Da Zombie!ATZ can be played as a one-up game or as a campaign where you link the adventures of your group together to tell your story. The more missions you go on the more experience you gain. As your experience grows your characters increase in ability while increasing the size of their group. In the beginning the goal of ATZ was to survive. But now as you grow in numbers and skill it’s time to rebuild the world except maybe this time with you in charge.

ATZ opens the door to hours of fun. Just be sure to look behind it before you go in!"

The first Corps Command game. From the website... "November 19, 1941.

As the sun rises over a new day in the Libyan Desert, the men of Reconaissance Battalions 3 and 33 are greeted by a horrifying sight. Massed columns of British armour are rolling around the open flank of Panzerarmee Afrika - a new attempt to relieve the besieged city of Tobruk has begun! The Axis must abandon the preparations for their own offensive and fight for their very survival.

In the headquarters of the Eighth Army, a clock is ticking. They have done the impossible and surprised the Desert Fox, slipping nearly five hundred tanks behind his lines. The opportunity to crush the Afrika Korps lies within their grasp...

Lock n LOad Publishing's Corps Command: Totensonntag
Totensonntag is the first offering in the Corps Command series from Lock'n Load Publishing. Corps Command games are designed to be played - they are light on rules and require merely a couple hours to finish. The emphasis here is on lean, mean and simple.

The heart of the game system is the initiative mechanic. The players' initiative rolls determine not only who acts first, but also which units move and how far they go. A player will often be forced to decide between getting there fast and arriving with the biggest force.

Combat hurts and then it kills. There are no complex tables or intricate subsystems, only an attack roll and the application of damage. As units accumulate hits, their combat effectiveness gradually declines until they finally shatter and fall apart completely. Players will want to pull their forces back before they reach such a level of misery and degradation, but will the initiative system give them the chance to do so?

Neither player is a spectator. The Commonwealth begins the game on the offensive but the Afrika Korps cannot sit idly by, lest it be defeated in detail. The strategic situation, combined with the initiative system, ensures that no two games will play out the same way.

Designed by Peter Bogdasarian, Corps Command is an introduction to not only a game, but a complete operational gaming system. Totensonntag is just the beginning. Follow on modules are in the works for Operation Goodwood, Prochorovka, and Kasserine Pass. Click HERE preorder a copy of Corps Command: Totensonntag."

Also back on the P500 list. From the website... "Dark July depicts the battles fought west of Prochorovka between 10-12 July, 1943. The map/s covers the famed Hill 252.2, the Soviet trenchs to the east, and the Oktiabrski State Farm to the north. We won't make grandiose claims about their meter-to-meter accuracy, but believe they faithfully replicate the two kilometer by one kilometer rectangle.

The 22" x 34" mounted map is comprised of two 22" x 17" maps that are placed side by side. The maps are not geomorphic, but this configuration does allow gamers to only use the map needed when less than the entire 22" x 34" layout is required. Dark July includes new rules for anti-tank mines, low wheat, and much more. "
