Game 1:
Al Hay - Shi'ite
Steve Gallob - Sunni
John Boone - New Iraqi Gov - Turn 1 victory
Mark Bausman - USA
Kent Wayne - Jihadists
Marc Greenspan - NGO

The game ended on turn 1 with a New Iraqi Government victory when the USA realized they needed to lose their final battle to prevent the Iraqi win. Even using their weakest Command and comitting 0 units could not prevent the US from winning the battle. The US won the battle but lost the war.

Steve came dressed for the Halloween season.

And Kent demonstrated how to wear the helmet properly.

Shi'ite Al supporting the Rangers.

Game 2:
Al Hay - Shi'ite
John Boone - Sunni
Marc Greenspan - New Iraqi Gov - Turn 5 or 6 victory
Kent Wayne - USA
Mark Bausman - Jihadists
Steve Gallob - NGO

This one went 5 or 6 turns but with the same result - another New Iraqi Government victory when the USA didn't heed the warnings of the Sunni faction calling in for help. Marc Greenspan was the victor as the New Iraqi Gov't. Kent as the USA said he didn't trust me, Sunni, after my turn one victory in the first game. I guess that was why he kept making me go first. 8^) We still had time so we started up our third game of this. Would the New Iraqi Government pull off the trifecta?

NGO Steve and Iraqi Gov't Marc study the map and cards.

Game 3:
Steve Gallob - Shi'ite
Marc Greenspan - Sunni
Mark Bausman - New Iraqi Gov
Kent Wayne - USA
John Boone - Jihadists - Turn 3 victory

The game lasted for 3 turns but this time the Jihadists spoiled the New Iraqi Government's chance for the third win. The New Iraqi Government started this one off well, gaining 40+ Political Points over the first two turns. The New Iraqi Gov't spent most of these PP on two consecutive turns recruiting all of his Security units building up strength across the map. The Terrorist Spectacular made an appearance twice in the same combat phase of turn one. First, the Jihadists killed off a stack of 5 Shi'ite and 5 New Iraqi Gov't forces, in the Ministries Zone, then the New Iraqi Gov't used it later, in the same combat phase, after pulling it out of the discard pile with the "Back Alley Deal" card, on a large stack of US units netting him his second large PP gain.

On turn 3, the Jihadists claimed the initiative with the "Surge/Jihad" card, added the 5 bonus security units to his stack in the Grand Mosque, bumping it up to 9 units, and chose to go last. On his turn, the Jihadists spent 5 of his 6 Political Points buying Arms Bazaar cards looking for either a Bribe card or a Minds Icon card to complete a Defection card combo. The Jihadist drew the Bribe card and converted the three New Iraqis in the Presidential Palace zone and then sent 10 security against 4 Sunni's in the Ministries zone. A play of the "High Value Target" card to force the Sunni's Command Card play resulted in a Sunni eliminated Command, the battle victory for the Ministries, and the game victory for the Jihadists.
