I've got just one, and it will probably remain just one (I'm not including my secret santa gift - I'm not that stupid to give away what I got!)

Nanuk is for our closest family friends from when I was growing up. Their daughter is the same age as my younger brother and their son is a couple of years younger than that and due to get married next year. He had leukaemia when he was 3 - I remember being there when he first seemed ill, then remember him coming back from the hospital with the diagnosis. I remember going over their house when he was pulling out chunks of hair to show off what the drugs were doing to him. He's been fine since and, despite being ginger, will probably make a good husband.

Anyway for years and years (apart from my marital years when I've spent Christmas elsewhere) we've always gone to their house on either Boxing Day or the day after or stayed over for two days. It's fantastic. There are so many in-jokes now, loads of fart humour, plenty of memories. They love Liar's Dice and we play a lot of Spoons, Chinese Rummy, Scumbag....Loads of games.

So I thought that Nanuk would be perfect for them. It's Liar's Dice but with a theme that involves lots of shouting, lots of arguing, lots of posturing. Can't wait to play it over Christmas when I'm back.

I bought my kids a bunch of games this year "from Santa." My daughter is 6 and my son 3 and they've been playing Chicken Cha Cha Chaand Gulo Gulo lately so I thought it was time to add to their collection.

They're getting:
Water Lily
Spooky Stairs
Dancing Eggs
Die Maulwurf Company
Viva Topo!

I also got some things for my Secret Santa target as well as friends that come here so I won't list those.
