I'd like to keep track of games that are considered "Best" with 3 players. That can be sometimes an awkward/unbalanced number for many games, so it would be useful (at least for me) to have some go-to games for this number.

I searched around first to see if something like this already existed, I found this
Summary of User Suggested Player Count Polls (BGG Top 250)
which is nice since it incorporates weight, but, it's from 3 years ago so it doesn't include some newer games, and also I don't want to restrict myself to the top 250.

Feel free to add any of your favorites. The only criteria is that the user-suggested # player polls should be Best for 3 players; it's fine if it's also Best at other #s.

EDIT:
As I mention in a comment below, what I'm looking for is an intersection between personal opinion and wisdom-of-the-crowds: games someone likes enough to make the effort to post, but that also satisfies the consensus on the poll that it's "best" with 3.

I'm being intentionally picky with this to only get the cream of the crop. If I also included games that are "recommended" but not "best" with 3, the list would be way too large.

EDIT AGAIN:
I just changed the sorting to alphabetical.

Another "only with 3" that is also best with 3. I can't recommend it based on experience--it's OOP and still languishing on my wishlist--but you can usually expect something excellent from Martin Wallace.

A nice lightish stock game that doesn't have a stock theme from Rüdiger Dorn.

This is also a nice looking game. It uses the tower pieces from Torres, little plastic people, and Tetris-style pieces like Princes of Florence.

Here's an overlooked gem that plays best with 3 players. For some reason this game seems to get very little attention which is surprising since its a great game that scales well for 2 - 4 players. 57.7% of gamers found this to be best with 3, which is less than the 67.9% that found it best with 4. Seems 4 is the sweet spot on this game, even though 3 is great.

No matter the player count, 6 cars are always auctioned off in this game. Three players is a sweet spot because then each player gets 2 cars.

Don't let the fact that this was published by Milton Bradley twenty years ago fool you. This is a great light racing game by Wolfgang Kramer. I love that this is a racing game with no dice and that you get all of your cards at the beginning of each race. Well worth buying if you ever see it in a thrift shop.

Designed for 3 - so not surprisingly it get's the highest best rating in the poll 85.7%.

There are some 11.1% saying best with 4 - not sure how that works as the original Treefrog version only played 3 - I do recall seeing a Polish reprint on the cards for this which did extend to 4.

Great (if somewhat involved) 3-player strategy game.

Well, right now it appears as "best with 2", but it's very close (52,6 say best with 2, 50,0% say best with 3), so just 1 vote would add a "best with 3" tag.
As it appears in the typcal Kosmos-2p-box, it is probabyly often played by people prefering 2p-games in general. Also is it on yucata, where most prefer 2p-games.

Yet, from a neutral point of view, 3 is definitely the perfect number to play this game!
It then has the optimum lenghth (number of moves per player), and only then the sacrifice mechanism unfolds it's full capacity (which it doesn't with 2). With, 4, too, of course, but with 4 it get's a little to unplanable and also too short concerning no of moves.

So this imho is the perfect model-example for the rare species of games, which is not only best with 3 among othe rnumbers, but significantly better with 3 than with any other number!
