Welcome everyone to the May 2011 Edition of the Geekgold for Game Lottery. From Labor celebrations, to hot sex by a bonfire, let's get it on.

These are the Rules

Who can participate?
Everyone can take part of the system, with the following exceptions: new users cannot list items unless they are a patron.

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item, and if there are bonus for multiple geekgold bid.
3. The bid is binding. Which means that once you bid the item it is assumed that you read the entry completely, understood and therefore want to take part of the drawing. The lister doesn't have an obligation to give your tip back although most won't have an issue. If for some reason an user withdraws from a lottery and should not be chosen as an winner, the lister should contact me to have his name ignored.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post Board Games, Video Games, RPGs, and related items. You cannot make a lottery for Geekgold or something completely unrelated the main entry, although these types of item can be added as bonus or as second winners. You can put gift cards as long as it is for an store related with the domains (i.e. no gift card to a convenience or department store allowed, but one for steam, funagain, drivethru rpg, etc can be raffled).
6. Always link to the correct item on the database. So if you are auctioning the Video Game version of Puerto Rico link to Puerto Rico and not to Puerto Rico.
7. To guarantee that the item will appear on the subscription page, allow for at least 1 week between listing and drawing.
8. Miscelanous game entries, like FIMO miniatures, pimp items, etc should be added using Miscellaneous Game Accessory, Miscellaneous Miniatures Game Accessory or Miscellaneous Card Game Accessory as appropriate.
9. The item must be draw between May 1st, 2011 and May 31st, 2011

Specific rules for types of item
1. For board games, contact me before adding homemade versions of non-Print and Play games.
2. For RPGs remember that the spirit of these lotteries is one of fairness. So, make sure that if you offer a PDF version of a given book, that you have the right to resell it, put on the item that it is indeed a PDF. Personal scans, illegal digital copies and xerox of books are not permitted.
3. For video games, no pirated or bootleg version is allowed. Remember that some online versions have pretty strict rules on what you can do with your copy. So when offering a game, make sure that you indeed can transfer the full ownership of it to the user. In case a new potential user would have some restriction with the new game, like not been allowed to access official online serves, add this information to the post.
4. If you are in some way connected with the item in question, either as a publisher or as a designer, contact me before posting any such item. And send me the wording you intend for the entry.

What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, draw a random name from those that have tipped your entry. If you allowed multiple entries remember to take it in consideration.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed I will move it to the bottom of the list. Please don't delete them

How do I find the winner?
Starting in November 2010, you must use the Copycat Awesome Tool to find the winner for your item. Later on this header you will find a link to the tool thread where you can get all the info on how to use it (it is pretty simple). Items appear on the tool the day they are inserted on the list, but the bonus and special drawings\conditions depends on me finalizing it. It has taken usually, 7 days for me to update. I'm trying to make it more automated but time is not allowing me.

Can I tip back people who tipped me?
Yes, you can use the GeekGold any user tipped you to tip on one of his items for lottery, but with discretion. You are not allowed to enter in collusion with an user to circle tip each other to get your chances very high. Doing so will remove both from the lotteries and take the geekgold incurred during it. Simple getting a tip and tipping back is not a problem. If you realize that there is an item one user has that you really want, and he really wants one of yours. Propose a trade (users are encouraged to add, before listing, items they want to lottery off on their Trade list), and if it goes through you reimburse the geekgold of every other participant.

If you suspect that something is wrong with any item on the lottery, please contact me by GeekMail explaining which behavior you saw that got you suspicious.

Additional rules and guidelines
1. Don't update more than once a day;
2. Editing for the sake of trying to attract people is bad behavior. Doing it everyday (countdown to draw) is even worst. When an entry is updated I go check it to see if I have to change anything on the tool entry for it, and when there are half the items with updates, that can be a bit difficult;
3.Posting on the Game Forums or on the General Gaming forums and GeekMailing users about the offers your put on the lotteries is considered spam and should not be done. We have a very high profile subscription thread on the GeekBay forums, which should take care of adding visibility. Rare will be the user that wants to take part but doesn't know already about it.
4. You cannot reserve a spot on the geeklist by adding a TBA announced post while waiting to post latter, just to have an earlier place.

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Special Note #3: This is more a personal request, please try to avoid over complicated bonus schemes and shipping thresholds. Although I understand and find it funny when an user goes with 10 different levels of free shipping with some countries here and there, I have to update this info manually on the tool for it to show on the update, and that delays the subscription update (a simple listing takes 10 sec, a more complicated can take up to 2 minutes)

Wow, that was close, huh? Congratulations, Tim!
You can choose 17 points worth of games unless you have a European address that you want me to send the stuff to. I will send you a geekmail, asking for all the necessary details and your want list.

Thanks everyone for bidding! I got more out of this than I would ever have hoped.

Third round of the "HilkMAN needs to get rid of a bunch of games"-lottery

Here are the remains of my previous months' lotteries. All games are the editions pictured, unless stated otherwise - if you are not sure, please ask. I might add some more games to this entry later, depending on my time.

Choose four five six (eight) fifteen sixteen SEVENTEEN (NINETEEN/TWENTYONE) points worth of games from the list below. A winner from an EU country can pick an extra two points, a winner from Germany an extra four points worth of games to reflect the lower shipping costs for me.

If this lottery reaches 500 , choose five points worth of games Achieved!
If this lottery reaches 600 , choose six points worth of games Surpassed!
If this lottery reaches 700 , choose seven points worth of games Reached!
If this lottery reaches 800 , choose eight points worth of games

If this lottery reaches 900 , choose nine points worth of games
If this lottery reaches 1000 , choose ten points worth of games
If this lottery reaches 1100 , choose eleven points worth of games
If this lottery reaches 1200 , choose twelve points worth of games
If this lottery reaches 1300 , choose thirteen points worth of games

If this lottery reaches 1400 , choose fourteen points worth of games Toppled!
If this lottery reaches 1500 , choose fifteen points worth of games Tackled!
If this lottery reaches 1600 , choose sixteen points worth of games Overcome!

If this lottery reaches 1700 , choose seventeen points worth of games Crossed!
If this lottery reaches 1800 , choose eighteen points worth of games
I might continue the progression in some way or the other if it really goes beyond that. We will see.

Shipping is on me, worldwide
. I will do the drawing on (or shortly after) the 23rd of May. Yes, that's a bit earlier than others! After that, I might be very busy, due to a business trip and the Game Designer Convention in Göttingen, but I will try to ship out the package as quickly afterwards as possible.

1 gets you 1 entry.
5 get you 6 entries
25 get you 35 entries

Here's the game list:

Zero point game (meaning I will add this for free if the winner is interested)

Board Game: KNOTZ!

Grand Cru: Heuriger und gemischter Satz Essen 2010 giveaway, new.

Ganoven Jagd Some shelf wear. Components in great condition.

Sluff Off! Lightly used, very good condition. I will include the Revolution promo card (see above, I have two copies)
Campanile While the game components are in great condition, the box shows serious shelf wear.
Quirrly Played once. Like new condition.

Board Game: The Dog's Meow
Board Game: Topas
Board Game: Dream Team
Board Game: Maus au Chocolat

The Dog's Meow Played once, like new condition.

Board Game: The Great Dalmuti
Board Game: Diabolo
Board Game: Quietville
Board Game: Hexenflug

The Great Dalmuti NOT THE EDITION PICTURED, but the newer Amigo version (1.1). I will upload a photo when I can. Very tiny dent in the back side and a small hole in the upper right corner of the rules; otherwise like new.
Diabolo Like new condition (one scoring sheet has been used and torn off. About ninetynine remaining)
Quietville Played two or three times, like new condition. This is the first Amigo edition in which they forgot to print Michael Schacht's name on the box front. Ouch.

Bali Some minor shelf wear on the box. Components are in excellent condition.

Tesserae The box has very minor shelf wear. About three tiles are damaged from punching and therefore marked (the game can be played without a problem anyway)

Seven point games
Board Game: Der Palast von Eschnapur
Board Game: Snapshot

Der Palast von Eschnapur Played once, like new condition
Snapshot Played once. The setup of the board makes it look used, which was unavoidable. Everything else is like new.

Ten point game
Board Game: Tigris & Euphrates

Tigris & Euphrates Some shelf wear. Game has been played two or three times, components are in great condition.

***

Edit 1: First threshold reached. Added Quirrly. Added bonus points for people in Germany.

Edit 2: Second threshold crossed.

Edit 3: Third threshold crossed. Added bonus points for people in the EU - now that the winner can potentially choose a big box game, shipping costs would be much lower to the EU than to exotic places such as the US.
Edit 4: Oh. Due to some large entry we now have a large bunch of points to give away. Looks like I will gain a good bit of shelf space this way...

Edit 5: And another threshold crossed. Where is the limit?

Edit 6: Now you can win sixteen points worth of games (plus bonus). I am sure you can't do better than that. Or can you?! devil

Edit 7: You continue to amaze me... last chance to raise this even higher.

Edit 8: Closed - winner drawn. Thanks, everyone!

A Lot of Collectible Miniatures
including at least one Limited Edition
for both Mage Knight and Mage Knight Dungeons
-- first of two lots --

Item Description & Condition:
The limited edition figures are kept in their little boxes, but I've opened the box to identify the figure within; these figures are in pretty good condition.

The rest of the figures are from my collection of Mage Knight figures, so they've been taken out of their starter/booster packs and stored in a separate box; the figures are in good condition.

You are bidding on what can potentially be a sizeable number of figures from the out-of-print collectible miniature game of Mage Knight. As this lottery entry collects more geekgold, the winner gets a larger collection!

Board Game: Mage Knight Dungeons
Lord Fell of the Necropolis Sect, shown with a fellow seething knight

Board Game: Mage Knight Dungeons
sample of Necropolis Sect and some Mage Spawn

Board Game: Mage Knight Dungeons
Marsh ... bonus limited edition

To start it off, the winner gets a limited edition figure (see above) and 4 other selected figures from the same faction.

Bonus Figures:

From 5 thru 300 : I will add an additional figure for every increment of 10 geekgold collected in this lottery. So, when this lottery hits 200 geekgold the winner will get a total of 25 figures, as shown in the photo. And when this lottery hits 300 geekgold the winner will get a total of 35 figures.

From 305 thru 600 : I will add an additional figure for every increment of 5 geekgold over 300 geekgold collected in this lottery.

At 400 : now included -- I will add an additional limited edition figure, as shown in the separate photo.

So, when this lottery hits 400 geekgold the winner will get a total of 56 figures. At 500 geekgold, the winner gets 76 figures. And at 600 geekgold, the winner gets 96 figures!

.
. for Mage Knight Dungeons
. MK Dungeon Rules
. MK Dungeon SAC
.
. And you'll even find variants such as
. Solitaire
. Minotaur Maze Rules
. Minotaur Maze Map
.............................

This lottery is just for the collectible figures that may be used for both Mage Knight and Mage Knight Dungeons, but I don't have any copies of the original rules, nor do I have maps and scenarios...

Fortunately, you don't need the original rules or maps! There are better copies of the rules here on BGG (see the links to the right). And you can make your own maps, or even adopt a hex grid, rather than using a square grid.

To the right, I've included links to some of the file pages I've found useful and/or interesting. If you've never played Mage Knight before, you will find these links to be very valuable.

I've also heard of people who use these figures for Heroscape Master Set: Battle for the Underdark and it's many releases. People also find these figures useful simply for the miniatures themselves; I've used it for games like Song of Blades and Heroes: Revised Edition and Goblin Slayer

Winner Drawn on: May 31 -- sometime in the Evening, Eastern US time.

Shipping:
Initially, I will only cover the first $5 worldwide, you pay the rest. I hope you understand that I'll need to add some kind of padding for the figures to keep them safe during transit.

Bonuses related to shipping
100 : now included -- Free US Shipping; I'll cover first $10 worldwide.
300 : now included -- Free US Shipping; I'll cover first $15 worldwide.
500 : now included -- Free US Shipping; I'll cover first $25 worldwide.
700 : Free Worldwide!

If you owe me money for shipping, I can take PayPal. Otherwise, I guess we can talk it over (typically, the winner can send me the remaining to reach the threshold that would activate free shipping; and of course, if additional bonus figures are called for in the process, those would be included as well.)

Thanks for bidding!

Please be aware there are
TWO Mage Knight lots
:
this link includes Lord Fell
and the Necropolis

and
this link includes Stonefist
and the Elementalists

A Lot of Collectible Miniatures
including at least one Limited Edition
for both Mage Knight and Mage Knight Dungeons
-- second of two lots --

Item Description & Condition:
The limited edition figures are kept in their little boxes, but I've opened the box to identify the figure within; these figures are in pretty good condition.

The rest of the figures are from my collection of Mage Knight figures, so they've been taken out of their starter/booster packs and stored in a separate box; the figures are in good condition.

You are bidding on what can potentially be a sizeable number of figures from the out-of-print collectible miniature game of Mage Knight. As this lottery entry collects more geekgold, the winner gets a larger collection!

Board Game: Mage Knight Dungeons
Stonefist of the Elemental League, shown with a fellow troll brawler

Board Game: Mage Knight Dungeons
sample of Elemental League and some Mage Spawn

Board Game: Mage Knight Dungeons
Anopheles ... bonus limited edition

At 400 : I will add an additional limited edition figure, as shown in the separate photo.

So, when this lottery hits 400 geekgold the winner will get a total of 56 figures. At 500 geekgold, the winner gets 76 figures. And at 600 geekgold, the winner gets 96 figures!

.............................

. MK SAC
.
. for Mage Knight Dungeons

500 : Free US Shipping; I'll cover first $25 worldwide.
700 : Free Worldwide!

If you owe me money for shipping, I can take PayPal. Otherwise, I guess we can talk it over (typically, the winner can send me the remaining to reach the threshold that would activate free shipping; and of course, if additional bonus figures are called for in the process, those would be included as well.)

Thanks for bidding!

Please be aware there are
TWO Mage Knight lots
:
this link includes Lord Fell
and the Necropolis

and
this link includes Stonefist
and the Elementalists

This lottery entry is for a collection of seven modules for basic Dungeons & Dragons. I have been very exacting with the conditions as this matters for some collectors; really these copies are more suited for play than collection, and are fine for that purpose. The specific items and their conditions are as follows:

AC7: Master Player Screen featuring The Spindle - slightly worn but in good condition; includes the module The Spindle of Heaven.

B2: The Keep on the Borderlands (third printing) - slightly worn; some pencil marks on map on inside front cover; missing pages 1/2/27/28; poor printing on pages 4/5; includes the detatched map.

B3: Palace of the Silver Princess (Green) (fourth printing) - worn cover; spine has half worn away; small sticker on cover with the name "Billy Harkins"; a few pencil marks inside and on map.

B6: The Veiled Society - slightly worn but in good condition; missing the cut-out buildings for the chase scene.

BSOLO: Ghost of Lion Castle - very slightly worn; spine completely worn away (front and back covers are detached); some pencil marks on one map; "HOFFMAN" written in pen on first page; some pencil marks inside; missing pages 31/32 (but photocopies included).

X4: Master of the Desert Nomads - slightly worn but in good condition; spine is reinforced with clear tape; some pencil marks on map; some rusting of the staples; "Brian Zimmerman" written in pen in corner of first page; inmost sheet detached from staples.

O1: The Gem and the Staff (second printing) - very slightly worn; includes full map book; missing cut-out stand-up counters.

I can provide scanned copies of any missing pages to the winner, if they would like them.

This is a partial relisting of a previous lottery item, to pass on the modules that I already own. As such, all users that made bids on the previous listing will receive the same number of entries on this item for free, without needing to spend any more GeekGold. This excludes Stelio (since I've already taken what I want) and eddie_drood (who received the boxed sets from that previous listing).

For full disclosure, these are the number of bonus entries for each user:

Aenea 1 || Hibikitour 120 || Reidzilla 1

This is a total of 1318 possible bonus entries. Those previous bidders who did not rebid are crossed out from the above list, leaving the actual number of bonus entries used as 1105.

Now... just in case you want in on this or want to increase your chances, you can indeed place more GeekGold against this listing at the same rate as on the previous listing:
1 per entry; 1 bonus entry every 5

Note that the entries calculated by your tips on the previous listing will not be combined with the GeekGold tipped on this item. If you tipped 1 last time and 4 this time, you will have 5 entries, not 6. This is to make Sol's manual tinkering easier.

The lot was drawn on Friday 13 May 2011. Free shipping worldwide.

See also from the comments below: all bidders have received 1 refund of their bids.

Last month a user listed this and got a pretty decent sized amount of GG for his listing. I love Car Wars but honestly not too many people around here do so when I bought up some books a few years ago they never saw the light of day in my collection. Besides a friend has minis and built tracks for a 3D game we play once every year or so. Well, I figured I'd put my own G4GG up with the ones I have. Mine include the set listed obviously AND:

Car Wars Supplement, Division 5 Vehicle Guide
Board Game: Car Wars Supplement, Division 5 Vehicle Guide

Car Wars Arena Book 1
Board Game: Car Wars Arena Book 1

Car Wars Fifth Edition Starter Set, Division 10 - Set 2
Board Game: Car Wars Fifth Edition Starter Set, Division 15 - Set 2

Car Wars Fifth Edition Starter Set, Division 5 - Set 1
Board Game: Car Wars Fifth Edition Starter Set, Division 5 - Set 1

So a total of 5 Car Wars products. You can't beat that right? There's a lot of stuff here to get you into the game quickly. Lots of cars, the arena book is loaded with goodies and the Vehicle Guide really does have some pretty cool rides in it. So Bid geeks, BID!

Bid Schedule will be:

1 GG per entry, no limit
5 GG gets you 6 entries, no limits
10 GG gets you 15 entries, no limits

Free worldwide shipping. Outer world colonies are just out of luck on this one.

To end sometime on May 30th, time is my choosing (probably associated with what time I wake up.) I'll be using some online autopicker to choose a winner. Not sure which one but one of 'em anyway.

Once Frankysan chooses his prize I'll add the other to my June lottery item.

EDIT: Frankysan chose the Descent bundle. I've decided that the Munchkin bundle will actually be my contribution to charity and the Joplin Tornado Game Drive see here

Thank you everyone for entering.

Cheers

It’s a dungeon extravaganza!!

One lucky winner gets

their choice of one of the following:

Either

1) Munchkin

Or

2) the Descent: The Sea of Blood
with Descent / Runebound / Runewars Figure: Nara The Fang
and the Descent: Sea of Blood Lieutenants – The Siren and Descent: Sea of Blood Lieutenants – The Kraken miniatures (new in blister)

Which RPG? Yours.

I like to make 24-hour RPGs for fun. Some of them have been entered on the Geek, like Space Ratgirls Need Our Boys!. Sometimes they stand alone like Providence (24-Hour RPG), the last RPG I wrote as part of a G4GG lottery. Sometimes they mutate into terrible monsters like How To Blow Up The World.

By thumbing this post, you are bidding on a 24-hour RPG designed by me, written up and delivered in electronic format, and submitted as a RPG on RPGGeek. Look at 2010 RPG Geek 24 Hour RPGs and 2011 RPG Geek 24 Hour RPGs for more ideas about what to expect. The game is ultimately my design, but you get to choose the setting, the theme, mechanics you particularly love and want included or hate and want excluded, and the like. The most I've ever done in a 24-hour stretch is 30 pages, although most games wind up with half that. I'm "only" guaranteeing 24 hours of work - but Providence was a game with a theme I didn't like and I still put about a hundred hours of effort into it, so.

Because this is a "no-prize" - not a physical delivery, but a game to be designed per your specifications - I am not taking Geekgold for this lottery. If you would like to enter, thumb this entry.

Drawing Date (Changed!)
May 9th, using the RPGGeek dieroller. I will get with the winner at that time, and discuss their designs.

Drawing date moved from the 1st due to moving and inability to get a truck at any other time.
