Welcome everyone to the May 2011 Edition of the Geekgold for Game Lottery. From Labor celebrations, to hot sex by a bonfire, let's get it on.

These are the Rules

Who can participate?
Everyone can take part of the system, with the following exceptions: new users cannot list items unless they are a patron.

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item, and if there are bonus for multiple geekgold bid.
3. The bid is binding. Which means that once you bid the item it is assumed that you read the entry completely, understood and therefore want to take part of the drawing. The lister doesn't have an obligation to give your tip back although most won't have an issue. If for some reason an user withdraws from a lottery and should not be chosen as an winner, the lister should contact me to have his name ignored.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post Board Games, Video Games, RPGs, and related items. You cannot make a lottery for Geekgold or something completely unrelated the main entry, although these types of item can be added as bonus or as second winners. You can put gift cards as long as it is for an store related with the domains (i.e. no gift card to a convenience or department store allowed, but one for steam, funagain, drivethru rpg, etc can be raffled).
6. Always link to the correct item on the database. So if you are auctioning the Video Game version of Puerto Rico link to Puerto Rico and not to Puerto Rico.
7. To guarantee that the item will appear on the subscription page, allow for at least 1 week between listing and drawing.
8. Miscelanous game entries, like FIMO miniatures, pimp items, etc should be added using Miscellaneous Game Accessory, Miscellaneous Miniatures Game Accessory or Miscellaneous Card Game Accessory as appropriate.
9. The item must be draw between May 1st, 2011 and May 31st, 2011

Specific rules for types of item
1. For board games, contact me before adding homemade versions of non-Print and Play games.
2. For RPGs remember that the spirit of these lotteries is one of fairness. So, make sure that if you offer a PDF version of a given book, that you have the right to resell it, put on the item that it is indeed a PDF. Personal scans, illegal digital copies and xerox of books are not permitted.
3. For video games, no pirated or bootleg version is allowed. Remember that some online versions have pretty strict rules on what you can do with your copy. So when offering a game, make sure that you indeed can transfer the full ownership of it to the user. In case a new potential user would have some restriction with the new game, like not been allowed to access official online serves, add this information to the post.
4. If you are in some way connected with the item in question, either as a publisher or as a designer, contact me before posting any such item. And send me the wording you intend for the entry.

What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, draw a random name from those that have tipped your entry. If you allowed multiple entries remember to take it in consideration.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed I will move it to the bottom of the list. Please don't delete them

How do I find the winner?
Starting in November 2010, you must use the Copycat Awesome Tool to find the winner for your item. Later on this header you will find a link to the tool thread where you can get all the info on how to use it (it is pretty simple). Items appear on the tool the day they are inserted on the list, but the bonus and special drawings\conditions depends on me finalizing it. It has taken usually, 7 days for me to update. I'm trying to make it more automated but time is not allowing me.

Can I tip back people who tipped me?
Yes, you can use the GeekGold any user tipped you to tip on one of his items for lottery, but with discretion. You are not allowed to enter in collusion with an user to circle tip each other to get your chances very high. Doing so will remove both from the lotteries and take the geekgold incurred during it. Simple getting a tip and tipping back is not a problem. If you realize that there is an item one user has that you really want, and he really wants one of yours. Propose a trade (users are encouraged to add, before listing, items they want to lottery off on their Trade list), and if it goes through you reimburse the geekgold of every other participant.

If you suspect that something is wrong with any item on the lottery, please contact me by GeekMail explaining which behavior you saw that got you suspicious.

Additional rules and guidelines
1. Don't update more than once a day;
2. Editing for the sake of trying to attract people is bad behavior. Doing it everyday (countdown to draw) is even worst. When an entry is updated I go check it to see if I have to change anything on the tool entry for it, and when there are half the items with updates, that can be a bit difficult;
3.Posting on the Game Forums or on the General Gaming forums and GeekMailing users about the offers your put on the lotteries is considered spam and should not be done. We have a very high profile subscription thread on the GeekBay forums, which should take care of adding visibility. Rare will be the user that wants to take part but doesn't know already about it.
4. You cannot reserve a spot on the geeklist by adding a TBA announced post while waiting to post latter, just to have an earlier place.

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Special Note #3: This is more a personal request, please try to avoid over complicated bonus schemes and shipping thresholds. Although I understand and find it funny when an user goes with 10 different levels of free shipping with some countries here and there, I have to update this info manually on the tool for it to show on the update, and that delays the subscription update (a simple listing takes 10 sec, a more complicated can take up to 2 minutes)

"This card game simulates children (a little girl is featured on all cards) running around the playground beating up each other and stealing their lunch money. Once you get past the strange theme, there's a fun little game where players beat each other senseless with cards like 'Poke in the Eye', 'Uppercut', and 'Humiliation.' Not for the weak willed, this game is mean. The last player still standing wins."

This game is complete w/rules, but unfortunately NOT the flimsy box it came in.

These figures are from the Lego Minifigures collections. For those that don't know, Lego have released special minifigures in 'blind' packs so you don't know which figure you get until you open it. These are 4 duplicates I have received.

These are great for modding your board games or ideal for replacing pawn or marker type pieces in classic games like Monopoly

The 4 figures are shown below and are in mint condition as pictured:

A Tennis Player with racket
A Mexican with maracas
A Mime with changeable heads
A Doctor with hypodermic and chart.

Congrats! And thanks to everyone for participating!

====================

And now for you consideration we have a very nice copy of The World of Necroscope [Boxed Set] by West End Games. I recently purchased this at a thrift shop -- really just because it was a good price and I'd never seen this game before.

It is a MasterBook RPG, with a theme based on the Necroscope series of books by Brian Lumley. If you've never read those books, let me just say that they are a rather interesting take on vampires.

Condition:
Used, but it doesn't appear to have been played much. The box is in good condition with normal shelf wear (scuffed/worn corners and edges and general fading); the top is slightly concave and there's a small blemish near the top right (as if a sticker was torn off). The books (the Necroscope WorldBook and the MasterBook rule book) are in great condition, as are the MasterDeck cards (there are 108 cards, no idea how many there should be). There should also be two 10-sided dice, but they are missing. Probably torn apart by Dragosani in order to learn their secrets...

Because I assume this is a rather obscure game that not many will know about, here's a brief description:

Quote:
The World of Necroscope is a role-playing game set in the dark world of Brian Lumley's imagination. A world where paranormal spies, ESPionage agents, and Mind Spies fight a secret war against darker things and one another. The Wamphyri, or vampires, exist, and their age-old evil stretches from the beginning of time to threaten the Earth.

But you are undaunted. You are not a mere human. You are talented. You are an ESPer, with powers undreamed of by your peers. You may be a telepath, a seer able to see into the future, a Shaman able to kill with a glance or perhaps able to talk to the teeming masses of the dead as a powerful Necroscope!

Sorry to disappoint fans of the books, but I flipped through the game material and it seems that there isn't any gaming aspect to all the weird, freaktastic vampire sex contained in the books. A bit of titilating artwork, but that's about it.

I'm still pretty new to the G4GG scene, so I'm going to keep things simple:

Tips:
1 = 1
5 bag = 6
No limit... tip big once, tip small often, or just empty your coffers right here.

Shipping:
This isn't a huge box, and it's not particularly hefty, so shipping is FREE world-wide.

Draw Date:
Drawing will be held sometime on May 29.

Good luck!

LOL...Troy, didn't you win my last raffle? You've got some serious mojo! Hope you're ready to spend some serious time with your computer.

The box (cardboard outside) is in great shape. Just a bit of shelf wear. The inner box (plastic) is also in perfect condition. Includes 3 Discs, Users Manual, and Quick Reference Card. The manual has a small (1/2") tear in the cover.

I have never played this game and know almost nothing about it. I'm not a big fan of war games. There is a product key present in the box. I have no idea if this is needed to play. Anyone with more info about this game should feel free to chime in.

This lottery drawing is for a like-new (opened, never played, didn't come in shrink) copy of One Up. Box is in great shape, too.

Based on useful comments (thanks guys!), the thresholds have been lowered:

At 50 gg, I'll add this: ADDED!

Two copies of The Best of Twisted Toyfare Theater (#1 & #2). In great condition.

At 75 gg, I'll add this: ADDED!

SPANC: Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirls
Board Game: SPANC: Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirls

In like-new shape, opened but not punched or played.

At 100 gg, I'll add this: ADDED!

Final Fantasy 7 Playing cards (pictured)

Never used, just been sitting in a plastic card case.

At 150 gg, ADDED!

Quoridor
Board Game: Quoridor

The pieces and board are like new, though the box has seen better days (very messed up, but still functional).

At 175 gg, adding two more copies of the Best of Twisted Toyfare Theater (#4 & #5) ADDED!

Entries:
1 = 1
5 = 7
20 = 30

NOT FOR THE GAME

This auction is for a SUPER COOL draw bag to MEGA PIMP you copy of the awesome game. The bag looks like these pictured below but the first is how it looks in the game itself...IE Amazing!

From gallery of thoia
From gallery of thoia

Now the one in the picture is actually my personal bag for my copy of 1960, but the one for auction is pretty much exactly like it using the same materials.

Hand made out of some really cool retro looking USA flag material, your rest cubes will feel their most patriotic being pulled from this. The bag has a double draw string done in a beautiful sparkly red string with really cool white stars on each end of the strings for pulls.

You know you want this, so vote BID often and it might be yours.
Bid Schedule will be:

1 GG per entry, no limit
5 GG gets you 6 entries, no limits
10 GG gets you 15 entries, no limits

Free worldwide shipping. Outer world colonies are just out of luck on this one.

To end sometime on May 30th, time is my choosing (probably associated with what time I wake up) using the CAT Tool.

Congratulations!

In order to prevent myself from going nuts buying expansions I've decided to part with my copy of Memoir '44. I got this about a year ago but my wife just isn't interested and the rest of my friends don't rank WWII epics as high as games involving unnamable eldritch horrors from beyond space and time.

The game is new in shrink.

At 500 as a bonus I will throw in a soviet era Russian stainless steel hip flask. Bottom is stamped CCCP and the cap has a portrait of Lenin in (not real) gold and red enamel. Toast your opponents in style after all of your future east front victories.

WILL SHIP TO US ONLY!! (SORRY INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS!!)

This listing is for the XBOX 360 version of Dragon Age II!!

It is in great condition. I finished it over the course of a few weeks, but the disc never left my XBOX, so it is still in Like New condition.

Normal stuff, 1 for 1 entry, 5 for 6, I pay domestic shipping, drawing May 31, Sol's tool, blah blah blah...

Almost forgot - new copies of this game do come with an online pass code. This code grants you access to a special store in the game. This copy is used, and so will not include said code.
The game will not be losing much, and will still very playable...although of course one should take into account any bias I may or may not have in this area =P

CLOSED! THANKS FOR DONATING!

Okay, my gaming group has pretty much gotten past the level where this game interests them anymore. They want more advanced 18xx titles, so its time to pass this one on to someone new to 18xx or who wants to break in new people gently. The game has only been played a few times, and is in excellent condition. Rules have a bit of wear from being thumbed through several times. The game is coming from a smoke-free home and is one of those games that doesn't smell like smoke (apparently this was an issue with some early copies of 18EZ).

I'll pay the first $10.00 of shipping from zip code 89183 to anywhere in the world. You assume all risks of shipping if you don't buy insurance.

If this happens to get over 300 GG, I'll raise the amount of shipping I'll cover to $20.00, which should pretty much cover anyone except in very remote corners of the world.

As for the drawing:

1 = 1 entry
5 = 6 entries
10 = 14 entries
25 = 40 entries
50 = 90 entries

GM me with any questions.

Drawing will be on May 31, 2011, sometime in the evening (PST). Sol's tool, blah, blah, blah.

The following is a rules clarification from Z-man Games:
Q: "Can you use the bus to run over someone who's in the wc?"
A: "No, you cannot run over anyone in the wc."

I recommend a house rule allowing or even encouraging the running over of anyone who is in the toilet, but that's just me.
