How's this for an original Geeklist title? And, it's absolutelly true. Miss Panda and I were coming back from a wonderfull Indian dinner at the Cafe Tandoor when this incident occured. It was 2015 hours and we were driving down a very dark, 2 lane Rte 82 in Aurora, Ohio doing 50 mph in a 55 mph zone, with a pick-up truck right on my ass, when something hit my windshield. The noise sounded like a gun went off in the car and Miss Panda hit the deck shouting someone was shooting at us. I passed my morale check, kept control of the car but was unable to stop because of the before-mentioned tailgater. I was now driving with a shattered windshield and was finally able to stop and turn around to go back and investigate. The shot came from a wooded area that made perfect cover for the sniper. Unable to find anything I went to make a Police report at the station. Through the Police Officer and the window repair people I finally was able to figure out what happened. Some teenage terrorist shot me with a frozen paintball and if he had shot the side window instead of the windshield I probably wouldn't be writing this and you would have heard the last from Miss Panda. Imagine a miniature cannon ball hitting you. I just made a journal entry the other day saying no more new game buying until Origins and now I'm spending $200 for a new windshield (not covered by deductable). Did I gain something from this experience? Hell Yeah! Let's play these games - repeatedly.

This game tops the list right now, it's amazing fun. Wallace is the best game designer in the world but he often leaves rules out so get the addendum. Everyone immediatelly wants to play again and it's fast. The only drawback is that you have to have at least 3 players.

What a great variation of "Puerto Rico". Faster and easier to set-up, this game rocks! Miss Panda wants to play it all the time. It plays well with 2, 3 or 4.

Choice of areas to play in, random power plants left out, adjusts to the number of gamers from 2-6 makes this game a different challenge everytime you play it. Completelly new game mechanics makes this a real winner with high replay- ability.

I don't own this game but I bug my buddy to bring it over all the time. Everyone loves the Roaring 20's Gangster theme and it's even more fun when you talk like one, see, ya dirty rat.

Another Wallace masterpiece. This game is chaos in action, just like the revolution. You must all talk in silly French accents, you see, even if you're in England. Don't try keeping score of everthing preciselly, just ball-park figuring is much more fun.

This is my showcase game. I painted all the miniatures and created a ton of player-aids. It's always set-up on my miniature table waiting for another play. We use my "Starting from the Shire, By the Book" Variant posted here for some really excellent and close games.

This game is a true classic. No dice rolling, you make your own luck by strapping a set on and going for it. You have to adjust your strategy on the fly depending on what tiles you draw. I play it constantly here online and at the table.

When you're looking for something lite but challenging, this is the game. Great with 2 or up to 4, it offers Puerto Rico mechanics at a quicker pace. Easy to get going out of the box, it's usually the last game played before the session ends.

When I gotta get that D&D fix in this game fills the bill. Always challenging to play it really came alive with the 1st expansion. What's great is that you can even play it solataire.

The expansion REALLY was what propelled this game onto the list. It now feels more like the PC game when playing. It encourages you to make up scenarios and gives you all the tools to do so.
There are other games we'll be playing but my main focus right now are the ones on this list. This is more than enough to keep me busy until Origins. I can afford new games, that's not the point, I really want to explore the games I have to the fullest.
