My wife loves "SORRY!" I would appreciate some suggestions of more meaty games that have some similarities that I can tell her about that might attract her.
She likes it because it's easy to teach/learn and it's got some backstabbing involved. I've managed to get her to play "Settlers..." and "Lost Cities" and she likes those, so she is willing to try some new things.
I'm slowly and subversively making her a BGG. Wish me luck!

i'd give this one a twirl. runs about $15 online, great mechanic and there's still dice rolling for motion. wants 3 players though.

If you want a game like Sorry, the one we play is this. I find it much more entertaining than regular Sorry, but it's basically the same idea with a better theme. If you took Sorry, placed it on an island with a volcano in the middle, replaced the pawns with dinosaurs, and added the ability to throw rocks at each other, you get this. My kids love it and I prefer it to Sorry.

With too many players (5+) it can last a long time, though. All that rock throwing can get vicious.

Zapp Zerapp seems like the logical choice. It's a silly but good fix of Sorry.

It's just like Sorry, except for determining how far you move. Instead of drawing a card, there are thirteen shakers in the center of the board, each with a hidden number on the bottom, and a matching number of beads inside. Someone rolls the 2d6, and then everyone finds the shaker they think is best by trying different ones by rattling them. Anyone who ends with a shaker higher than the dice roll doesn't go; others move that number of spaces with highest going first.

The other difference is that you send someone home if you land on them, or pass over them. Unless they're on the quarter of the board that's their safe zone.
