Each player is assigned a secret color during setup, but everyone is free to move any of the pawns during the game, and can even move more than one during a turn. When any of the pawns lands on the same space as a special marker, each color is scored according to where on the board its pawn is. Whoever triggers a scoring also gets to move the marker.

Everyone is assigned a secret color at the start of this game as well. Each color starts out with many huts on the board. A turn consists of moving all the huts from one area to an adjacent area. Then, if all 5 colors are present in the area, any color with only 1 hut is removed from this area. Once an area has no huts in any adjacent areas, the colors that have huts there score points. These colors may receive bonus points, or none at all, depending on how far along the game is. Players also receive bonuses for triggerng scoring, and these points add substantially to their totals at game end. This secondary scoring makes it easier to mask who controls which color.

Each player is secretly assigned a type / color of building. The buildings are drawn on the board, and there are 5 of each type, with point values 1-5. Players add roads during the game, and are able to build them right over buildings. At the end of the game, whoever has the most points in surviving buildings wins. Many of the squares are marked with outhouses. If someone lays down a tile that would cover an outhouse (many of the tiles cover more than one square), all players vote on whether to allow this move. Ofcourse players would like to keep the roads away from their buildings, but must not be too obvious which ones are theirs.

A rich old lady has passed away, and each player is assigned the roles of several people who hope to inherit the fortune. The current face-up character card indicates who is favored for the inheritance, but this can be changed by anyone who rolls doubles. If a player can get a pawn out the door while its card is face-up, then he wins. However, players can move any of the pawns, so making a break for the door may be too obvious. It is possible to kill off characters throughout the game, and if there is only one left, the player controlling that character wins. Characters are bumped off by falling down stairs, getting sliced by a suit of armor's axe, etc. When trying to kill off a character, a player often pulls a card to see if the attempt was a success. Pretending to try to kill one of his own characters allows a player to disguise that it's his and also gains him a card to play later. He may also kill off some of his own characters in an attempt to make one of his others the last surviving contender. A third way to win is by having the upturned character card when the detective reaches the house; the detective is moved one space closer each time a detective card is pulled instead of a normal card.

Each player is assigned a secret hereditary trait. I haven't played this one, but I understand that cards are played to indicate marriages and subsequent children. The idea is to keep your trait alive through the generations, and more points are awarded further down the family tree.

I haven't played this either. Each player receives a list of characters he wants to succeed. Characters are competing for the throne, and attempt to move up the floors of the castle to reach this goal. When a character reaches the top, everyone votes to determine whether to make him king, and therefore score all characters according to their current positions. Unlike the other games I've listed, I believe that the characters belonging to each player can overlap in this game.

Players use their cards to advance any of four bears along the path. The further along the path a bear is, the more points he can score. But the only way for players to score for a bear is by keeping unused movement cards for that bear in their hands. If a player advances a bear, is it because he has several cards of that color, and can be considered a backer of that bear? Or is he merely bluffing? Or is he trying to rid his hand of unwanted cards?

I just traded off my nearly unplayed copy, but from what I can remember, players are assigned cars secretly at the start of the game. Everyone gets to influence the movement of the pieces, as well as decide when scoring occurs. The goal of the game is to score maximum points for yourself while trying to figure out which cars your opponent is trying to advance – and keep them from doing it, of course.
