There are always old classics that can be played but I love to try new games that I have never played before (though I admit that some may be old classics to someone else!) In any case, these are the ones I love right now!

I have now played this game many times on both sides. Even when the dice and/or cards favor one player, it is still possible to pull out a victory with some good strategy. There is nothing better than having Obi Wan mow down droids like water or conversely, having Darth Maul get cut up by palace guards!! Try this out, I guarantee that you will not be bored!

I picked this one up along with a bunch of other Reiner Knizia games and everyone who has played it has become addicted. It is simple to play, quick to learn and you always feel that you are sure you could do just..a...bit...better the next game. Try it!

I have become a huge fan of the rummy games made by Mike Fitzgerald along with my gaming group at work. This is the newest one we have tried and playing Hideouts on others just when they think they will be paid a huge reward always elicits a satisfying scream!

The second of the three current Mystery Rummy games. This one started off as a bit slower than the others but after a few games, the speed picked up and the strategy really started. Playing with the tournament shutout rules is a MUST. There is nothing funnier than seeing two cocky team players trade each other the same card at the same time as a mistake! We constantly laugh our way through this one! And always remember...FEED THE MONKEY!!!!

History of the World has been around for a long time but I never really got hooked on the older versions. Having tried the newest version again, I am addicted. I love trying to find the perfect way to maximize my own influence and score while chopping up the leaders. Even though I have not won yet (losing by 2 or 3 really, really hurts), I am always ready for the next game!

Acquire is another "old" game that has been reissued. The newest version is so easy to teach and play with that it is light years beyond the older versions. Once again, I have not won a single game but while playing, everyone is always convinced (including me) that I am WAY ahead...until we total it all up in the end. I love the ones that keep everyone in it until the end.

Here is a moldy oldy! I like this for one simple reason...trying desperately to figure out the 3 clues and racing people back to 221B BAker Street in order to present the conclusion. It is great when you get there first OR even better, when someone else gets there first and blows it!!! With all 180 mysteries, this one can last a LONG time.

My gaming group started playing games with the original risk and wore it out (I have 3 separate copies!) I picked this one up with reservations and now I am hooked. The cards are awesome and the choices are better...buy a space commander and take the moon, or a naval commander and take over the sea colonies....no, no...a nuclear commander and some nuclear cards to blast everyone off the face of the earth.....the choices seem limitless sometimes. But it is always fun (though better with 3 or more players)!

This is the first Eagle game that I bought and played. It is fun to explore and build an empire and the restrictions on declaring war make it much different than games like Risk. The different sets of rules work good with this one and a standard game is a great way to start.

Sid Meier's Civilization is great!! It combines elements of easy games like Risk with those of War Age of Imperialism. Trying to decide whether to build colonies, purchase new technologies or just blast everyone else is always interesting! Try this!!
