Oh sure, we know you collect board games. And, oh sure, you've got a respectable (or ridiculous) number of games in your collection. And, oh sure, those games are great'n'all, BUT there is still an itch that needs to be scratched.

There's one board game that transcends mere collecting. For you, it must become a collection within a collection. You love the game so much that you need to have every version of it ever made.

Well, that's what this list is all about. Is there a game that you collect in all its manifestations? Is there a game that you want to collect but don't know where to begin? Tell us about it here. Maybe I can send you a copy that you don't have. Maybe you can send me a copy that I don't have. I am sure that others would do the same.

I guess that Diplomacy is my all-time favourite game. My friends and I never lost friendships over it -- we loved the intrigue. Now that I have resigned myself to the 'unlikelyhood' of getting six friends to set aside a day for Diplomacy, I have opted to acquire as many versions as possible. I have a few already, but if anyone would like to donate, please let me know.

Some examples from my collection:

This is the one for me, I have everything except the last small wave they made and I will get that next month when I head to the states for GC. The sad .part is I lost about $3,500 in HS stuff this year to a fire in Ohio, but the good part is that is my collection in the states and I still have plenty to play with here in Costa Rica

Oh yeah, I know exactly what you mean. My itch isn't just any 3M games, as I do have that itch as well, but in particular, I can't seem to pass up any version of Acquire, even though I already have multiple copies of many of the versions. I even have a copy with the upside down 3E board.

I think it stems from having played Acquire almost since it first arrived. I recall playing at home, at friends and in particular, about a two year stretch where four of us, my late wife Carol, Billy (who has also passed on) and Bill's wife Ru, played Acquire twice a month or more. I recall the paper bag we used and how well it stood up to the use. It is well used but seems almost indistructable and which is still in one of the copies I have to this day (they don't make paper sacks the way they used to).

There are two versions that escape me, the World Edition of course, and an edition with no letters on the hotel chain markers. Well, those and I don't have any of the non-English language versions.

If you run across a World Map edition, let me know...

I used to love this as a kid, and still do today.

There's something nostalgic about the 60s art on the cards that makes me keep looking for any edition I can find...

Survive was my first thrift store find. I brought it home and played several times the first day. I got on the geek and found out there Stronghold Games had made an updated release of it and I just had to have that too. Now the 30th anniversary is here and I've got to get that one for the much improved graphics and the cool insert. Now I have to start looking for copies of Escape from Atlantis...
