Have our Geek brethren lost their ever-living minds?

In the aftermath of a recently completed board game auction, I have been trolling the marketplace and E-bay daily in the hopes of finding those sought after gems to add to my collection. The one thing I noticed was that in spite of a deep-seeded depression, Geeks are still buying and selling boardgames like crazy! The part that really perplexes me is the insane prices that people are selling or trying to sell games for. As primary bread winner in a dual income home with children to feed and blah, blah blah... I would think that the price of my highly sought after OOP games would have come down to match the ever declining economy. NOT!
Anyway, enough ranting and on to the subject of the Geeklist.
What is your most sought after board game?
What is the most ridiculous price that you have seen it listed for?
And, what do you think is a reasonable price for it in a specific condition?
Edited out political reference which is a violation of the BGG rules. My apologies.
