No matter how good and sophisticated game design gets, chess is the greatest game of all time. If there is any flaw, it is that to truly be fun it requires a fairly evenly matched opponent, of course you could say that is it's strength.
I've played games of Risk that have nearly ended friendships, ha! This is a nice take on Risk. But, take the command card out that cancels all other command cards for an entire turn, its WAY too powerful. it's broken...bad designers, they should know better.
Talisman is entirely too dependent on luck. But the theme and board are done so well it's still fun. And I love all the different characters you get to play. I HATE the philosopher, but I always win when I play him. Go figure!?
