OMG or a list of my unplayed games
- Alex Peters(Maccit)Netherlands
Boardgames are in my genes. I have loved them from the day I was born.Recommend
I conceived my first game when I was 8. A wargame at sea almost as large as my room. Unfortunately it got lost somewhere between then and now.
In my teens I played diplomacy almost every month with my friends. What a privilege that was. They got me Axis and Allies for my birthday. That was back in the eighties.
I got a girlfriend who was almost as crazy about games as me. With her I attended my first Essen in 1996 and I haven't missed one since. Of course I married her. I would have been stupid not too. Our love for boardgames even got us Dutch boardgaming champions (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/43177)
My fire for games is burning as hot as it ever has. They enrich my life in a way non geeks have trouble understanding. And I just need to play at least a game a week. Preferably more.
All this love has one downside though. In the course of the years I collected too many games, and the games standing in the attic unplayed, are increasing every year.
This lists serves primarily to remind myself of all those pieces of art, works of the heart for the people that designed them, that lay there collecting dust and deserve to be played at least once. Feel free to thumb games u especially like.
