This is the first time that I can think of, across two game groups, that I can ever remember 20 games being played on a Thursday night. This total was perhaps padded a bit by Isaiah (10) and Reasor's(6) 12 games of "Guess Who Extra." Nevertheless 20 games were played and 20 shall be reported. So there!

This night first time attendees Gaby, Jim, and Dylan joined old hands Shaea, Alex, Wayne, and myself. Game comments this week are courtesy of Shaea and the Game Report form.

We play games on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to about 10:00. If you are in the greater St. George area (or anywhere in Southern Utah or Northern Nevada within reach) you are invited to join us.

Our thanks to the Washington Branch library for hosting our game nights. It is a great venue with lots of room and very good light. For information on how to join us check out our meetup.com page. Here is the link: http://www.meetup.com/Saint-George-Area-Board-Game-Group/

Four adventurous gamers set out to find artifacts and make their fortune. Wayne took the role of teacher as he was the only one who had played before. Shaea notes: "Wayne says 'It's true...if you teach a game you never win." File that under game group wisdon #1. Newcomer Jim made a nice debut. Newcomer Gaby did well too. That's enough said.

Scores
Shaea (with help from Isaiah) 40
Wayne 40
Gaby 52
Jim 59

Meanwhile, on the other table, we went even farther back in time. Rick, who has played many games of Stone Age, taught Kelsey, Dylan and Alex. A good showing by the three first time players. Kelsey made an easy mistake for one's first Stone Age game and ended up with too many resources at the end. Shaea notes: "Rick sneaks out the win due to food production, proving the "teachers never win" theory wrong.

Scores
Rick 153
Kelsey 138
Dylan 149
Alex 153

As Isaiah was helping in Thebes Shaea was called on to play Reasor in four rounds of Connect Four. The final tally? Shaea won 3 games and Reasor won one. Shaea's challenge was amplified by playing this game at the same time she was playing Thebes. Wayne said "A true mom!"

Isaiah took his turn with Reasor next. Two games were played and Reasor won both.

Game total after Connect Four? Eight games played.

Leaving his mom to fend for herself in Thebes, Isaiah and Reasor squared off for a few (12) games of Guess Who? Extra. Isaiah's four years of age and experience proved to be too much for Reasor to overcome. You must credit Reasor's perserverance, however. If I were Isaiah, I wouldn't become too complacent. The final tally 12 wins for Isaiah and none for Reasor.

Total games played: 20. Number of people having fun: All!

Baby Sophie attended as well but she decided to spend the evening eating, sleeping and watching for now. Given her gaming start at 3 weeks, she'll probably be playing at 3 months!!
